- Yes, yes it is. The new Toyota Hilux GR Sport is pretty awesome, especially with the wider body kit. It is super imposing in the metal. Should you buy one? Well, let's be frank, the Hilux is still dominating in the South African market and if you are an avid off-roader, you can't really go wrong with something like a GR Sport.

That interior is very very old school. won't upset the old farmers, with new fancy technology, like it's rivals.
Toyota really need to upgrade their infotainment systems, the bakkie looks good, but in my opinion not worth the price, Ford offers more for less.
Imagine what the next gen Toyota will look like. I can't wait

People will buy anything with a Toyota badge. This car is worth max 700k. And it's from 2015 it's ancient. I mean look at the 5 Suzuki models Toyota sells for more money with less features a worse warranty and a worse service plan but people buy it because it says Toyota.

@@Siyabonga158 I have driven many and my uncle has owned 3 of them. They have the worst ride on a farm road and a shit automatic gearbox. Everytime he goes back to Isuzu which lasts longer.

Toyota should take the 3L-I6 T from the supra (in a performance tune) or fit the 4L-V6 unit and twin-turbo it and fit either to the Hilux. This could go toe to toe with the Raptor. The interior needs to be severely revised. Looking too dated for a R1mil cat.
That's a BMW B58 engine, it's not befitting of a Hilux

@@sirsilva7079 close but the only BMW engine in a defender is the new twin turbo v8. The straight 6 Landrover engine's are their own. The B58 is however used in the Ineos grenadear the SUV/bakkie that looks like the old defender

Generation 9 of Hilux should come 2029 .
It is really old and ugly, Toyota just added more plastic trims outside and of course GR badges, those boxy wheel arches look horrible. Just to make it look wider, and the price is crazy. Long live the Raptor this is just a pretender and a follower, they can't fit the V6 twin turbo engine because they blow up all over the show,
Feels more 'put' and 'vas' - Maybe try feels more 'planted'. Use it don't use it :)
