My name is Jasmine and I have relocated from Sydney Australia to Ghana in west Africa as of the year 2020.
My parents are of Ghanaian descent and so am I although I was born in Australia. Here on my channel, my goal is to give you a real glimpse into what it’s like to live in Ghana, from the Ghanaian food, to the Ghanaian culture, to the Ghanaian lifestyle and everything in between. My goal is to satisfy your curiosity about Ghana and help inspire to explore Ghana.
My prayer is that these videos do just that for several African’s in the diaspora.
Follow your bliss because life is short, follow your bliss because human life has no intrinsic value, follow your bliss because everything happens for the greater good and follow your bliss because it has all happened before.

I am sure there were numerous blocks and blockages along the way. but she persevered and is now living her dreams. many would have given up and that's not even a criticism. I have learnt in life that strength and hardships are not endured equally by all and outcomes are always uncertain even if one tries their best. So good on her for finally having the place she felt she wanted!

Great vid. Lucy is living the dream. I can't believe she brought the land for so cheap! Plus, she hit a 'gold' mine with building her home on Black/Dark Earth (Terra Preta).
For those who don't know what Black/Dark Earth (Terra Preta) is - It's a very dark, fertile, anthropogenic soil/fertiliser. It gets its name from the high charcoal content. The soil is a mix of charcoal, manure, plant matter, etc. It was once thought only native Amazonians used the Black/Dark Earth (Terra Preta) soil but it has been found and used all over the world. Many West Africans used and continue to use Terra Preta.
    Google it.

That leaf is "broad leaf thyme" used for seasoning meats, fish and soups.Usually mixed with other herbs to add flavour.Crushed and sprinkled with salt to taste it's good for colds.

Please no chickens please🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿. Those roosters will not allow you to sleep. I was in Ghana last October and would literally chase the neighborhood roosters while throwing stones at them early in the mornings. The fencing around the house did not stop those evil neighborhood roosters from jumping it. Anyway very informative video about flowers.

🇹🇹 Hi I’m from Trinidad and Tobago. The ‘snake grass’, we call it Spanish thyme, and we use it to season all our meats and fish. So it’s very edible. I love your video. ❤ Also you can draw the thyme and drink as tea, just like mint.

Apart from the obvious cocoa, mango and some other common tropical fruits,I had no idea Ghana grew this. The list of what should be added to the school curriculum just increased by 1 🤣🤣.Makes me wonder what the children learn in school if they don't even know about fruits in Ghana. It's no wonder we know more about Europe than our own country, SMH.
