I am Black American and I’m 1000% proud of this brother. He made a way in the US and never forgot his home. I’m in real estate as well and I can only imagine the process of monitoring your contractors from San Fran. I KNOW it had to be nerve racking. I’ll definitely be visiting this year after my trip to Gabon.
You are most welcome home brother. 🙏🏿👍🏿💪🏿
His accent suggest that he was submerged in his culture even in America. I almost thought the title was wrong when he started talking. He kept his home very near. Awesome!

Ghana continues to raise because both their direct diaspora(those with Ghanaian roots) AND other Diaspora(African Americans, Caribbean, etc) are coming together to REVERSE the brain drain and directly invest in the country.
I wish Ghana continued success and hope to see Sierra Leone follow this model and have their diaspora do the same.

This is beautiful and good on him for doing this for his people. What people don't realize is that not going back to your own country impacts your own country and the country you migrated to.

I am proud of your contributions to the community and the ecosystem.
Thank you so much for this opportunity, who has created.
Unlike,in Nigeria, where money is stolen by politicians and public servants, stored in foreign banks rather than investing it , in Nigeria .
Imagine,a lawyer from the US coming to Ghana to invest .
Where there is opportunity, there will definitely be challenges.
My brother say it again. The politician's bring the money to Europe and ordinary people work hard and bring it back to build Africa, so who love Africa?

Mr. Ahadome, congratulations for the great work. I have an idea (it's possible you may have already done it). As you have already established a relationship with the owners of the nearby resorts (Aqua Safari and Royal Senchi Resorts), can you guys please establish a property/business owners association so the association can collaborate to develop the road network of the area and manage other infrastructure in the area to protect and promote your businesses? This will be helpful and more beneficial as you plan to add outdoor/recreational activities to the business. Vacationers can easily jump into their vehicles and move from one resort to the next easily as we have in CA to enjoy different activities.

I concur, this is most inspirational and a great example of what’s possible. A Cooperative Association would strengthen the whole. It would also allow more participation from Diasporans.
Please tell us the name of this place exactly. How far from the nearest International Airport?
@@bolamondi1680 it’s approximately 2hrs, give or take, from Accra international airport, just outside of Greater Accra Region ( so within Eastern Region bear border with Volta Region, thus the lake / river Volta where the bridge crosses).
It’s not far from Akosombo, where the major hydro power generation dam is located, you really can’t miss it if driving from Accra or crossing to Volta Region from Eastern Region because of that bridge. That area is a very visually appealing part of a scenic country.

Hi Odentaa, you can make your own electrical power for yourself. Get a 4000 gallon water tank . Put it 30 feet high . From tank run 6 inches diameter pipe over the blades of the generator. So when the water fall on it the blades will rotates. Then you have pond to catch the water, and pump that same water to tank. This how you will have electrical power. I am an electrician. I had worked in six Nuclear plants in the United States. .
Incredible
Brilliant 👏
Wow amazing
Great job! God's calling brother! You will always find your niche when you are listening, following, obedient, and take the initiative. Plan on helping the community to maintain that bridge, and look at putting in a second to help divert too much activity on only the one. Example, a going and coming. Hooe you have conference halls too. Be kind to your staff, little surprises, and especially you talk of their commitment. Help them grow too. Plan for small safe tours for guest. Develop a health and fitness center on site. Employ a small medical and fitness staff, and make sure they keep abreast of advances/development to be efficient and relevant. I love what you are doing. So proud of you as if you're my brother. God bless you and your family. Remember to be kind, love and help the poor, the widows, orphans in your community. Love you, God bless again and all the best.

@@Head_OnThis gentleman has been to United States and seen what that country has developed based on the natural environment. He decided to do a " replica" project in Ghana based on what's already done in America. Lighting up the bridge in special colours to mark significant events/hallmarks is done regularly at the Empire State Building in New York. There are activities besides the beach at a Cancun resorts in Mexico. Africans do not have to reinvent the wheel but adapt what's already done using Africa's resources and giving it a classy African vibe. Three years ago I attended a wedding reception at a location " Under the Brooklyn Bridge" which connects Brooklyn and Manhattan in New York. This is a beautiful area in Ghana ripe for development. Best wishes from Jamaican in New York.

Amazing story! However, one common issue that prevents the Diaspora of investing properly in a lot of African countries is the absence or over complexity of the laws. Why would it take over 2 years to acquire land without litigation? The government needs to put processes in place to provide proper land registration documents or files for everyone to do business easily.
It’s a big issue but www.surveymonkey.com/r/GUBADiasporaNetwork join our network.
You're right.
If I heard him right, he actually said it took him two year to complete the whole project and not just the land.

I now operate a tour and travel company in the USA, I am a former Federal Historical officer worked with the Department of Interior National Park Service from which I required the knowledge to started my own small business. I can see how this organization can use the local airport to market this resort.
We can link when u come to Ghana
I hope the management of the resort organise tours for visitors and tourists to the local communities and villages surrounding the resort.I also hope the management of the resort have a corporate social responsibility where by they help and support and give to the local communities and villages.
I was there and they organized the boat trip on the lake for me . I had lunch at the property and a tour of the Resort. It really only caters for the high end traveler. The hotel overlooks the famous Volta lake and l had a private boat trip arranged. The staff is excellent very well trained. The standard is really high.
The management has always supported and will keep supporting the local community. Corporate social responsibilities have been extended to some local schools in the Eastern Region and other local foundations in the communities. Activities such as a three-course adventure that includes hiking, a high-stakes paintball battle, kayaking on the Volta lake, abseiling the 100-ft Vulcan Rock, Paintball battle on Trident Island, and crowning it all off with a 4km of Kayaking foray around Trident Island.
