@@maryam-cd3gt They (Caribbean) care because her vision if applied in that region will be a great economic boost. Most countries in that region rely on tourism and this can be an added industry. Further, too many in this region depend on imports and if they attempt to grow in the region instead, import bill can be reduced.

I would imagine that you would have to live in mountainous area of Haiti to grow apples. Apples need a cooler climate to grow.

@@listenup2882 I agree. But still apples still need chill hours for the tree to propagate fruit. I mean I don't live near enough to the tropics and I would love to grow bananas, but the growing season is not long enough here. A guy in this area did grow some bananas but he had to have a way to keep the plant warm during the winter.

She's doing the best job sharing her knowledge. We're enjoying 100 plants she brought us, not too far from Nairobi city. One year old so far and we've enjoyed a few fruits. We're looking forward to selling some soon!

Apples, of course, grow in Africa. It grows in Nigeria, in the northern part of Nigeria, called Plateau state,Taraba,Nasarawa.Almost all temperate crops grow there. We need geniuses like this Kenya Woman. Proud of her❤❤❤

My father used to grow fruits in Kenya from 1970s. ADC did a lot of projects in farming but corruption stagnanted these processes. Kenya is one of the blessed country where we grow from rice, wheat, fruits found in the northern hemisphere, you name it.
Rice grows in Kenya too ..in kirinyaga county not far from this Apple farm in laikipia county....the region around mt Kenya we can grow anything
Anything can grow in Africa we just need knowledge motivation and money to start 😊

Apple do very well in Central Kenya. At our home,you can get all the seedlings you want.
Pears plums and apricots grapes also grow very well in kenya. In december the market is flooded with them
