I like Gil’s Arena with the whole crew but these interviews are just as good honestly.
These interviews are better . Some of the crew is just dumb and annoying.
these were kinda first anyway or atleast had more viewership before Gils Arena took off last couple months
Facts bro. Don't know what it is but I tune in every time Gil be on.
😅t=😂t r t rtr 4
I’ll never for get when Stackhouse tapped me on my back and told me good game after one of my AAU games back in 2011
In North Carolina?
🧢
@@skrillaskee472It was at the Ice Breaker tournament in Augusta, GA
😂😂
Dirks shot at 7ft was unstoppable. Ain’t no 90s players in that era shooting like him. Best shooting big.
Like stack said… that’s his shit, then larry shit then bird shit
@@toohonest_ no one cares dirk did it best. No one cares who was the first to dribble, kyrie does it best
@@moneymoney3235 THATS OSSIE SCHECTMAN SHIT
I’m not trying to take anything away from Dirk, but why do people act like KG wasn’t just as smooth in the midrange? Dude is one of the greatest mid range shooters of all time and gets no credit for it.
Larry Bird has left the building
I wasn’t aware Stack was so conscious, coaching at Vanderbilt, “bruh needs to mentor Ja!” Stack could really help Ja with his personnel and professional maturity!
Damn, Stack shedding some light on tht 50 win team. Turned the franchise around and he sacrificed so much. Him and Billups would've been fire
MadMax giving Stack advice on chasing screens. GP giving KG & Kobe advice on how to steal the ball effectively. Imagine how much greater the game of basketball would be if the OGs gave game to the youngins. Seems like pros were so scared that they could potentially lose their spot/mins/job that they didn’t drop jewels.
Great interview last 2 was unexpected gems fr fr
Stackhouse is always a great interview, this is no exception. This was a great listen.
46:55 Stackhouse: _"The only thing that was the issue with us, was MJ and Scottie. We were together during their heyday, when they were the best in the business. It was hard to get over that hump with those guys..."_ 🤨
The only time Jerry Stackhouse and Grant Hill played together during the Bulls heyday was in 1997-1998. That season, the Detroit Pistons had the 6th worst record in the NBA and missed the playoffs.
So to say that the Bulls were your "only" issue is inaccurate. There were 23 other teams that were better than the Pistons that season.
You took the time huh lol ok ok
Dope interview with one of my favorite basketball players ever
Gil Said
Dont leave me out Goddamit lol
The Dap
After Gil gave Stackhouse love
Was Phenomenal
But the subliminal Shots
Was wild AF
Stack got Love for Kwame
Stackhouse. Wish we couldve got a championship with you, 2.75 games up and fell out.
I remember stack grilling and talking to radio show in dallas and loved his down to earth presence.
Stack, the difference is: Dirk is 7" and does the fadeway;-). Nobody else did it on that level, with that perfection and that size before Dirk. And nobody before Dirk could hit it from downtown that leathal or drive the rock to the basket like him. Thats why he changed the game and is arguebly one oft the 20-25 best players ever..
One name …. Mentioned… Larry Bird… could do all Dirk did & more . & he was 6’10… if you want to make 2 inches mean that much … run with it .
@@Supreme36074Wilt was doing the “Dirk” fadeaway in the 50s
@@mackinshizzaveli4202 I agree, just closer to the basket.
@Supreme36074 bird 6'9 but 3 inches really mean a lot if you talking about basketball tbh
@@Supreme36074 Bird is top 10 all time and has inspired many players. I still think Dirk made his fadeaway uniquely his own.
Gilbert: "DON'T LEAVE ME OUT GOTDAMMIT!" 😂😂😂😂 CRAZY AZZ GIL!
He came To my elementary, when he was playing for Detroit 😎
Good shit Gil I love these
Love hearing Stack talk. Real NC legend and OG. Love that he got Vandy headed in the right diction. Hurbert you on the clock in Chapel Hill.
Great interview.
My guy Stack
Stackhouse in 2002 & 2003 was a all star
My first jersey I ever had was a Champions Gear Jersey of Stackhouse when he was in Detroit (old horse version) In 4th grade in 03. I lost it unfortunately all so long ago, MnN re released that same jersey (swingman version) but that sold out so fast, it’s been probably 2 years since they haven’t restock 😢
He didn’t win a chip though
I met Stackhouse as a kid here in Detroit he was doing an event Tommy from Martin was there too this was like 1999-2001
Man I thought Stack was a all-star way more times than that. He was a walking bucket
Best basketball mind out Gil!
Stack had one of the quickest first steps in his prime!
Yo i loved watching stack house. He use to net that bih. Great interview
One of my favorite Pistons. Oh Boy!👍🔥
He hasn’t aged at all😵💫
He talking about Kwame 😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Time stamp
This y im here now 😂
Notice how he said the league allowed zone (help defense) after Jordan left the league.
Facts
I wore 42 in middle school cuz of stacckhouse and had on the grant hills hahahaha wildin
Jerry stackhouse 🐐1995
Fax Stack was doing that step back 1 legged fade away way before Dirk, but Dirk was still a monster!!
My favorite player! Stackhouse!!
Stackhouse a legend in my world
That bigen in Stack's beard makes him look so menacing 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Love the how to make it in America shirt
Stackhouse!!!!!! Loved him so much made a song named after him
Supe Dupe - Jerry Stackhouse
Check it out stack!!!!!
Stack a real 1 no kap
Ya'll didn't ask about him being in that De La Soul video?
@Duke
One of *"THE"* Greatest "DUNKING ON 2 PEOPLE AT ONCE BASELINE PLAYS"
(on Cherokee Parks and Meeks) 1994
One of my favorite hoop plays ever
Stackhouse definitely one of the few names niggaz used to say while playin ball like Kobe lol
…where..?
Infamous shot chucker!
*Dwayne is spelled Dwyane in DWade's case
Congrats on finding out that error
Thats wild, never noticed that before. His version looks like the typo
imagine stackhouse, rasheed, vince, jamison, shammond williams, ed cota as a starting five
Great show & great info Stack … I always tell people MJ thought he could get to the playoffs & win something… wasn’t there teach the game to the youngsters as the vs narrative goes. Proof?? He wouldn’t of traded RIP, who was in his second season for a almost 10 year vet in Stackhouse. MJ helped kill his career as far as a starter goes.
The wizards were supposed to trade for Elton Brand but kept Kwame. That’s probably why MJ treated him like crap.
Mj didn't kill his career as far as starters go. the knee injury he talks about at 20:20 has a lot to do with it, then he talks about going to Dallas right after and taking a 6th man role. Mj wanted to make the playoffs- facts, he said as much before that season but isn't that the reason everyone plays?
@@4olufadebelieve it or not but it's a lot of players who are just playing for the money, especially role players in the league.
@@mackinshizzaveli4202 yeah I heard that. Terrible decision for Kwame & Mikes reputation as a GM.
@@cliffishot2def I agree, however Stack wasn’t one of them.
So that's the Famous Stackhouse! 😂😂😂
Respect Stack, but Dirk's fadeaway is uniquely his own. Stack even said he didn't do the leg thing. That was Dirk's flavor. Now to mention Dirk is 7 feet tall, also he shot the ball from above his head at a particular angle that his mentor and trainer, Holger Geschwindner, came up with. "The Perfect Shot", a documentary about Dirk, goes into detail about this.
100% agree. And all due respect to Stack but when Dirk started to really use that shot (around 09-10) he was not even with the Mavs.
How do you go about being an intern in coaching if you’re a student at Vanderbilt?
Go offer to rebound for somebody
@@JBadge good idea, I never thought about that one.
“These kids ain’t doin what I did” 😂😂😂
So basically Gil n Kwame are best friends 😂😂
Name of the intro song?
gil dnt know we only wear the jeans frn purple lol
Notice he said soon as mj retired they allowed zone smh zone would have eliminate most of mj game
This man did an ad and didn’t look at the camera once 😂
Vince Carter was influenced by Jerry Stackhouse indirectly.
Gilbert in 2003 Larry was on the wizards
Man AAU basketball is physical. Like I seen kids get slapped in face, pushed down, etc. The ref is only going to call so many calls before they stop.
I have a bias for aggressive scorers
Dirk wish he was as good as Larry Bird 🦅
I had no idea he had filas.
I pray he is the next coach for the Tar Heels when Hubert Davis' contract is up.
That would be pretty cool but let’s see if Hubert can bounce back, he did at least get to the championship game
I’m a NC State grad and fan, so I pray y’all don’t get Stack. Lol he is so much better and way more relatable to the players than Hubert. They quit on Hubert. Even a casual fan could see that last year.
@@rodneymclaurin1891 I get the feeling most Tar Heel fans are trying to be optimistic to a fault concerning Hubert. I had no expectations for last year except for them to get better from the beginning to the end of the season and that didn't happen. Which to me is a HUGE red flag. If a teacher is in the classroom and NOONE in the class understands the lesson, then that is on the teacher. Other than RJ Davis and Bacot, no one got better. Transfer portal is great and all, but those freshman who come in need to be developed and need to get minutes and feel part of the team. I sense a lot of kids left after last season feeling rather disappointed.
@@MrBmick79 I like Bacot a lot. He’s max effort every night. I wish he would have gotten his money after his 3rd season though. I don’t think he would have been a lottery pick or nothing, but I don’t know if he can really improve his draft stock unless he puts a 3 point shot in his arsenal over the summer.
@@MrBmick79patience is a virtue
HOB-knobbing 🤣🤣😂😂
Constructive critcisim, I prefer these 1 on 1 interviews.
Did u and Allen Iverson fight ???????????????????
Remember Remember the 5th of November
Jayson Tatum plays like stackhouse
Grant Hill don't get hurt, he would've been in GOAT conversation with Kobe, Lebron and Jordan.
Y’all say that about everybody that get hurt

That’s impressive how you located that error.
You can catch Jerry in early A.I highlights waving his hand……yea ur open but…….YOU AINT GOT THE ANSWERS‼️
Dirk didnt learn from stackhouse😂😂
Mans tryna hate on dirk lol
Cause he's white
Stack was a 🪣
Ferengi face azz nga
Mavs won the championship too, cause maimi ring don't count with how rigged it was
yeah 2006 finals were rigged af
MJ was not a isolation player. He's still salty about those wizard days and being compared to MJ at UNC. I like stack but him Scottie and you too Gil need to get off yalls high horse
MJ was one of the best ISO players. He wasn't JUST an iso player though. He was a killer in any system
