1 HOUR of INCREDIBLE Plane Spotting at Manchester Airport! (MAN/EGCC)

- In February 2020, I flew to Manchester, UK, in order to cross off a flight on the Air Transat A310, but also to do some plane spotting in the north of England! Manchester Airport has some amazing variety, with so many airlines that I'd never seen before (and sadly, never would again). These videos were all shot over two days, and are arranged in chronological order of the time of day they were filmed.
This video wouldn't have been possible without two good friends of mine, @JonathanWinton123 and @Mraviationguy, who both made the journey to Manchester to meet up with me. I had a fantastic few days of spotting with them, and it was a wonderful trip to the UK. I really do appreciate their coming out, go check out their channels!

4:10 For anyone curious, the RJX project was similar to the A320neo/737 MAX project, essentially re-engineering the BAe-146 with newer, more modern turbofans for better fuel efficiency. Shame that project never took off...
Yeah it was tragic that it was cancelled. Could have given the other regional aircraft manufacturers a real run for their money. I heard BAE thought the short haul market was going to reduce, so cancelled it. 😞

as a former Calgarian now living 45 minutes away from Manchester is quite a busy airport I emigrated to Canada from thiis airport
flew on BOAC (British Airways) then returned via Wardair in the 80s I remember Calgary airport Mcall feild then before the new terminal was opened in 77 don't half miss that place this airport has just expanded terminal 2 I have flown out of here to Calgary to Ireland the USA to Turkey to Poland such a great airport for veiwing i like your Calgary airport videos keep it up Alex
One of the 2 best places in the UK for spotting. LHR being the other. Jerry Dyer ALA Big Jet TV does frequent shows at both. Great filming as always.
I've flown on EI-GPP before, and actually around that time too. I do love the ATRs as the seats are far more generous than the DH8!

Until recently it was my home airport (which I also worked for - 12 yrs), and I would generally agree that MAN ‘was’ one of the best for spotting. That is until typically the airport saw another opportunity to make more dosh. I know every airport does this, but having worked for them - trust me, they take it to the next level (even when it has potential bad consequences). Anyway, my big gripe was their decision to slap a mini terminal right in front of the Viewing Park. Obviously the park wasn’t making enough money for them (despite the pretty hefty parking charges). Thankfully spotters still have that truly awesome spot on the other side of the airport- which is unparalleled amongst other airports. Really do hope it stays that way 🙏

Was this February the 17th because I few from Manchester to JFK on G-VROM 47:40 and that looks like the gate I was in at MAN I also flew on G-VROS 40:53 on the way back which is also in this video. Could someone tell me what date the aircraft G-VROM was filmed on pls?

12:54 we saw the beginning of the take off roll of the Emirates A380, but then you cut to something else. With everybody in the aviation community secretly sleeping with little plush A380 dolls (joke), I'm surprised you would chop the take off roll of one. Superior camera work, BTW. I see you have other videos of other airports and I look forward to enjoying them.

Manchester is far more better then cardiff airport
Passenger waiving from Swissair jet @11:23...Airbus redeemed itself a little with that A220 (787 design copy - but to be fair, really a Bombardier product) - it is a pretty jet - but has a way to go to be forgiven for the A380...lord have mercy, that is an ugly jet...
