I got my T-Rex 2 weeks ago, and am loving every bit of it.....especially the battery life. The lack of making/taking calls and responding to messages is a no biggie for me. I don't care about not having those features. Having a rugged watch, with all the features I DO use, literally hundreds of watch faces to choose from, as well as a 20 day battery life on one 2 hour charge was what sold me on it. Very impressive watch, and I must say, better than anything from Apple at 1/4 the cost!
Yeah, I don't need my watch to act like my cell phone or an MP3 player, so not being able to pretend like I'm Michael Knight doesn't bother me one bit. That's why we have cell phones. I like that it is rugged and is meant for the outdoorsy person with great battery life. I want one.
THIS ,..is the watch I have been needing. I went from Fitbit to Garmin to Apple Series 3,... All for different reasons because none of them did or had what I personally needed on a day to day basis. THIS T-Rex has it all for me. I'm just past the return policy period for the Series 3. I'll get the T-Rex for my everyday wear and training purposes. It has great screen protection all around. I'll use my series 3 when we go out on the town. We'll see,....

Ty for the review. I had previously owned multiple wear is devices. I found replying to messages on watches extremely tedious always use phone. Just bought the t rex ty.
I ordered one off eBay a week ago so far I love mine ! It’s the smart watch in a gshock type form factor I’ve been wanting. I love a fitness watch that looks like this. I could care less about replying to texts on my watch I still have my series 5 Apple Watch and never use it or the apps. Hopefully the trex will come back in stock soon.

This exactly the reason why I’m buying this watch its looks like a g shock with more features and ruggedness so what if i cant answer phone calls or rply text messages I always have may phone in my pocket.i just don’t like the square design of the apple watch
Apple watch series 3 would be a valid option, if we Android users didn't have to buy a new phone also. 😂 The T-Rex serves perfectly a public completely different, people who don't want to spend excessive money on a watch and don't need a smartphone on the wrist (phone calls, answering messages, app installation). And the huge battery life, not having to worry about charging every 1,5-2 days... For me it's perfect
Good review. I have this watch and it's fantastic. I don't need or want redundant devices for notifications or phone calls- that's what a phone is for, and the user interface on the phone for voice and texting is much better. For everything else like heart rate, quality of sleep, it's highly configurable and easy to configure, it's light, the strap is super comfortable, it has quite a few faces and about 600 more if you look online. It keeps GPS accurate time, has a ton of workout features, changes timezones autonomously, includes weather, and charges quickly. Also- a really attractive price point- $140USD. Strong recommend for it.

So you can then pull your phone out of your pocket? As long as your phone goes directly to speaker mode then yes may be useful I guess.

Thanks ! and I think it would depend on whether your a heavy sleeper or not lol
The Amazfit watches have a silent but vibrating alarm. It will wake you up if you wear the watch during the night. I always set 2 alarms (2 minutes in between) to be sure but the first alarm always wakes me up.

I got my watch but the battery dropped from 100 to 78 percent in a day with 10 min heart activity sensor on and always on display is the battery ok or should I replace it. Please respond quickly sir.

In comparison with Amazfit Pace the t-rex GPS gives a ragged track missing some pieces of a route and heart rate monitor is practically useless under more or less heavy training with heart beat 130 - 170 p/min and it can't work with chest belt sensor like Pace watch does.
I have gear s3 frontier. Use to be a great watch but it wont hold a charge for more than an hour even after several firmware updates both to the watch and my phone. Idk what happened but until sammy gets their battery life game together on their smartwatches I dont see me paying +$500 for any of their future smartwatches. THIS is the watch I need. 20 days on normal use minus the gps?...that's almost unheard of. The few watches out their that push the needle at or beyond that have no decent screen features to speak of or are borderline black and white (how do i tell the time on an ink display in the dark?..smh) I want one of these. The only thing stopping me is that they are all coming out of China and will take eons to get to me. I'll patiently wait for one to he available state side
Damn yea I actually just got rid of my gear 3 the rotating crown I liked really enjoyed using the watch unfortunately like you said overtime they tend to deteriorate. Yea it’s crazy how long this watch can last. Hopefully that’ll be a testament to new smartwatches something like the Series 5 with the always on display will get your roughly a couple of days.
mine went from almost 4 days to under 1 due to samsung idiotic updates. ill try this one, nice review.

I think the Stratos 3 would definitely be the better option if your mainly getting it for Sports. It also allows you to directly listen to music from the watch so it works a bit more as a stand-alone in that aspect !

Hello Techlocker i bought TicWatch Pro (2018) 2 weeks ago. It was so bad i returned the watch 3 days later. Screen froze all the time, screen lag was terrible. No sound....it was a terrible watch.
I want to like the T-REX, it looks awesome. However, cant reply to text messages on the watch is disappointing. That is a killer for me.
What Android watch would you recommend? I am looking for NFC, able to respond to text mesage, good apps...

I have a problem, cannot charge it after the battery drain to 0%. After connect charger, it will just turn on the device, but not charging it. Help me anyone?

You can definitely go on a swim, I’m not sure about a hot tub but I wouldn’t doubt that you could submerge it in hot water I think you should be fine

I just got this watch an for some reason i cant get the battery lige more than 20 hours... Any tips?
Maybe due to gps.. because if you're continuosly on gps, battery will be drained pretty quick(100% to 0 in less than 20 hours). Take a look at the setting, maybe you accidentally turned it on?

mine took 2 years before the band broke
I ordered from their official site and well that was a bad idea. I paid in full and have not got an order confirmation or tracking number in a week. I got into contact with customer service and gave them my pay info and no response back. Horrible service

Yes, you can. Not so easy process, involves tools, but there are straps available
@KeepitMelo 41 not so easy as other watches that you don't need a screw driver to remove the straps, but I didn't say it was hard
