I know I clowned on it but, please support LastJawa in his efforts to make a truly great Star Wars fighting game because honestly, he's doing a better job than anyone else. If he just got a couple animators and QA testers on the project, it could definitely be made ready for a full release. A new version is coming out soon that I can't wait to try. Corrections: Prey 2006 and Prince of Persia (which came out in '08, I don't know why I can't get that through my thick skull XD) ARE back-compat, I am a dumb. Sorry about that. Thanks to Midnight Mongoose and XBOX GUY for pointing those out. Also, Arkham Asylum and City have been taken off the back-compat list, but yeah, I can't stress enough the Return to Arkham edition is basically Halo: Anniversary, but it also looks worse in almost every respect, and runs like garbage. Please just play the originals, they're dirt-cheap. Sonic Adventure, Crazy Taxi, and Sega Bass Fishing are technically back-compat, but I don't know if the Dreamcast collection disk will work or not (it does, thanks to Johnathan Nicol for the info). BTW, as of late July, the Beenox Spider-Man trilogy is currently sitting at about $85 per game. Hate to say I told you so. 😜

@@agroed Unfortunately the Dreamcast Collection disc will only download Sonic Adventure, Crazy Taxi and Sega Bass Fishing. As for the Deadliest Warrior disc, they only allowed the digital versions to be backwards compatible.
@@noobkid-cg8wh There are a select few that were developed for PS3 first so they run better over there. Not many though, and backward compatibility has made a lot of them irrelevant.
@@noobkid-cg8wh A few I know of are The Godfather, Prototype 2, MoH: Warfighter, El Shaddai, FFXIII, Bionic Commando, and EDF: Insect Armageddon. You can find a full list online probably.

My guess is, the reason why 'Lollipop Chainsaw' never became backwards-compatible was likely due to the expense of the music soubdtrack having to be relicensed. Back then, back-compat games were essentially being re-published & resold online the MicroSoft Xbox Store.
Of course, the solution to that problem is to make 'Lollipop Chainsaw' back-compat via disc-only, but my guess is the publisher or someone said "no". At least we have the remaster to look forward to...I guess?

Great video, was looking for something like this. Just yesterday ordered a new 360 E to play non back compat games on it after almost 10 year gap of not owning a 360 after selling it to GameStop to get the One in 2014

OG Xbox & the 360, and the PS2 are in prime collecting price right now. It’s gonna get even better with inflation going the way it is. I go out to my local shops with $150 and come back with almost 30 CIB games I’m genuinely interested in. So much variety, personality & charm to be had in these generations. I don’t see PS4/PS5 being nearly as much fun to collect for in the future in that light.
The 7th generation will also be the last where the games were actually fully playable on the disc without requiring a download (even if they are gimped versions). I think physical collecting will sharply decline going into the 8th and 9th gens.
Hi I loved both parts of this collection since I've been collecting both OG Xbox and 360 games, I saw Prince of Persia was on here and I believe it's backwards compatible like Prey and Split/Second, it be annoying to here nit picks but it's something I noticed. Other than that, Thank you for showing your collection

Something of note about that version of Space Channel 5 is that the original on PS2 is depending on your setup (I believe if it’s an HDTV) the game is VERY difficult due to input latency, which is a similar issue with Gitaroo Man. The 360 version is not just in HD, but fixes this problem.

'Remember Me' was pretty good & I enjoyed my time w/it. Still need to finish it tho. It's one of those games I own & never understood why it never became backwards-compatible on modern Xbox consoles. Both CAPCOM & DONTNOD are still around & the game doesn't feature any licensing hurdles. Definitely deserves to be preserved for future generations.
Hey, great work on this and the previous video! You helped me find that the first Assassin's Creed game had a bonus disc variant so i thought i would let you know of one too. I recently got a variant of Velvet Assassin with a bonus disc and didn't hear you mention it. The case has a round sticker on it that says bonus disc included. Anyway, thanks so much for making this and I'm looking forward to watching your others!

Rock Band 3 is definitely best on Xbox 360 IF you are playing on console, but now you can play the PS3 version on PC with fully replaced online and a bunch of great features with Rock Band 3 Deluxe. You can also play Deluxe on 360 along with Enhanced for liveless multiplayer with automatically fixed song IDs for customs, but you need a modded 360 to play Deluxe on console. The trade off for emulating the PS3 version is that you have to convert most customs yourself.

MS said they couldn't bring more due to lack of agreements (Ravens games were most likely blocked by Activision for ex.) or licensing issues (music, IPs, etc.).
Maybe the Activision acquisition will enable them to bring back original IPs like Singularity or Prototype, but games with licensed content like the Activision Marvel games, or the Guitar Hero series, will most likely stay in the vault for ever.

Since the XB 360 store is closing in July 2024, I don't have a lot of digital recommendations but I do recommend getting backbreaker vengeance, call of duty classic (the great PC only port) , and vigilante 8 (one of the twisted metal OGs., it's not great but it ain't bad either. Also get the DLC pack for extra cars) DLC for Spider-Man 3 goblin, fight night champion has a George forman young dlc that is free but not available on Xbox one. Games in the market place if you want digital only vs the physical copy,

37:16 The Xbox 360 is not PC hardware. It uses an IBM Power "PC" processor which does not use the x86 instruction set, its very similar to the Apple Macintosh computers before the intel Mac era. These systems do not run Windows programs natively, totally different architecture. The name Power PC is misleading. The GPU in the Xbox 360 however was similar to what was available in PC's of the time period, the ATi Radeon X1800 XT.
The Xbox OG, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S do have x86 PC CPUs.

I played Eternal Sonata last year on 360, but I decided to get the PS3 version instead because of the added content and increased difficulty. Haven't been able to get my hands on Magna Carta yet though. Would you recommend it?

I'm in the middle of a lot of them but I've already finished around 80 of them. Anything I mentioned that I didn't specifically say I hadn't played yet, I'm a least a fair bit of the way into. I tend to jump around a lot more than focusing on finishing games. 😅

I know this series of games is defintly a bit of an oddball, but do you have anything from the Cars series of game? (the ones from the movies.) Cars, Race-O-Rama, Mater-National, Cars 2, etc. I just bought the OG Cars video game physically a few weeks ago since it's not backwards compatible on the One, and I used to play it on the Wii back in 2013, but I never actually completed it. The controls are a bit floaty but it was a fun, quick game to play, which I can definitely say for the other titles (the only two I haven't played is Race-O-Rama and Cars 3, the rest I've 100%'ed.) I just wondered if you have those in your digital collection, or if you've ever given them a try before. Awesome series, and I definitely admire your collection. Its introduced to some new oddball titles that I would've never heard about otherwise!

@@agroed I'd say the OG Cars Video Game and Cars 2 The Video Game are the ones you should look into. Cars 2 especially, since it's actually not a bad party to play with your homies. Plus, it has a pretty good mission variety among other things. The first game is more straightforward, do the stuff and 100% the game. I was able to beat it in one sitting in about 7 hours. Still, I'd definitely recommend the Cars and Cars 2 games, and if you like 'em then definitely take a look into Race-O-Rama and Mater-National. Thats my take on it.

Unfortunately they said they're done with back compat, so what we have now is the final list.
Now that Microsoft owns Bethesda, I guess that also means they own WET? Thus, why isn't this game backwards-compatible on current Xbox consoles? Also, w/its 70's grindhouse aesthetics I'd love for WET to become a franchise in the vein of Uncharted or The Last of Us - a console exclusive Xbox needs to add to their portfolio. I can see the likes of Ninja Theory develop a reimagined WET sequel.
15:00 Man thanks for pointing this truth out. I remember in my high school days when ps3 was trending, i spent 60 in Wolfenstein just because i saw Raven logo in the boxart, and recognized them from the SoF II game of my childhood that really taught me what an adult game is.
Because i was foolish, and opinions where what conditioned my opinion and experience, i read the reviews , bad treatment , mocking and even bad reviews that magazines spread about Wolfenstein 2009, I ended up exchanging the game in Gamestop for a Batman Arkham Asylum copy , the employee even agree on that.
now in 2024, i walked by a gametop/CeX and bought again wolfenstein 2009, because i always felt bad for exchanging it.
In reality , i enjoyed it and liked it , but because everything had to be like CoD MW back in the day i didnt value it ... and i always felt bad for participating in their slope honestly.
Played recently Singularity and the Raven signature is there, im glad the team is with Activision now and ironically working for CoD , but now i miss them man... i want their products not the cod campaign
Haven't played much of the SoF games yet but I also had Double Helix as a kid. I wanna go back and play the trilogy soon. Played a lot of Raven's other games though and they've always delivered some amazing stuff. I'd honestly love to see what they could do with Halo but that's unlikely to ever happen now.
SEGA was always a big proponent of Xbox backwards-compatibility, so to see so many og Xbox & Xbox 360 SEGA games not compatible on modern Xbox consoles is a head-scratcher at best & criminak at worst.
While there are plenty of original Xbox & 360 SEGA games that are compatible on Xbox One & Series consoles, why in the world have Anarchy Reigns, Resonance of Fate, Sonic Heroes, Shadow the Hedgehog & Spikeout Battle Street (to name a handful) never joined the rest of the library? None of those ganes have music licensing issues that need to be renewed - w/the exception of the Sonic games...maybe?) Spikeout is even one of the most expensive og Xbox games, so you would think SEGA would've pushed for that to happen. Outrun & After Burner games I get the legal hurdles. But stuff like Resonance of Fate? Uh-uh.
Hi i have a question, i got back into xbox 360 recently and just been collecting physically. i see things on youtube that are saying that the servers are shutting down soon, how bad will that effect me?
There was an announcement from Microsoft last year that they were going to be shutting down the servers in May 2023, but they said that was an error, and wasn't actually the case. The servers are still up right now, and from what I understand, will likely stay up for the foreseeable future since the architecture is the same as the Xbox One/Series. They have been slowly closing down multiplayer servers though, so if you wanted to play any 360 games online you probably won't be able to do that for much longer. Other than that, nothing's changed. Digital games and DLC are still purchasable, and will probably remain so, aside from games getting taken down due to publishers not renewing the licenses anyway. If you just collect physically it won't affect you at all though. Hopefully that answers your question.

@@user-iu1yi9uh9l Yeah, this page has all the original Xbox games that are backward compatible with 360, it's a little bit less than half of the entire library: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Xbox_games_compatible_with_Xbox_360 Generally if can avoid using the 360's back-compat and just play the original Xbox games on the actual hardware then I'd recommend doing so, because some of them run pretty poorly with the 360's back-compat, but it does the job if you have no other choice.

Great video! Quick question is there a physical version of Marvel Ultimate Alliance on physical for the 8th gen systems? I could swear that it was digital only…
Thanks! The remasters are digital only to my knowledge. The only 8th gen physical release was Ultimate Alliance 3 on Switch.

Long story short, some of my top recommendations would be: Aces of the Galaxy, Bastion (got a Limited Run release), Black Knight Sword, Braid (although you might want to wait for the Anniversary edition that's coming out soon), Bullet Soul Infinite Burst, Charlie Murder, Comic Jumper, Gatling Gears, Guwange, Hard Corps: Uprising, Hydrophobia, I Am Alive, Ms. Splosion Man, Stacking, Strania, Misadventures of PB Winterbottom (listed under W), and Trials Evolution (no longer available, but you can get it on PC). Starting next week there's another 20 or so games that I added that I'm going to be doing as well. On the 360 store it has a "+ Xbox One" at the bottom to denote that the game is backward compatible for easy reference. Hope that helps. 😄

Some of these games are great i played them on Xbox one then on Xbox series under back compatibility binary domain came to back compatibility in 2022 bit wet is still not back compatibility
Which versions of soul caliber 4 do i need for yoda, marek, and vader?
Yoda is in the 360 version, Vader is on PS3, and Galen Marek is no longer accessible since he was DLC and the license expired.

Another excellent video. I would say it is a toss up between the OG Xbox and the 360 for favorite console. The number of quality games gives the 360 the edge. BTW, Binary Domain is a really fun game. Also, I picked up the Transformer games you recommended.

So if a typhoon rips through your town what happens to your house and ya physicals are u gonna padlock them down to your bed when a storm.rips ya house in half I gave up collecting way back in xbox classic days and when I found out what 360 was doing with Digital I went to digital and haven't been back to physical copy since I'm a fan of w e.t and was pissed off it didn't make it to back compatibility owell I can't get a 360 anymore here guess it stays buried
Where I live in Colorado we don't have any natural disasters to worry about but I mean, I have house insurance. You can still get a 360 if you want, the hardware is quite cheap.
@@agroed not in my country Aoetearoa ( google the name to know my country ) we don't got 360 anywhere the last time I saw a 360 on sale years ago it was 160dollars but because it's on its way out in June 360s been taken down from being sold in shops because of that and sure if Yellowstone erupts or San Andreas rips azole coastal side your definitely going to have to run with ya physicals never say your town won't get any disasters because one day everywhere is going to enjoy the end of all things
Aliens Colonial Marines is not backwards compatible last time I checked a while ago.

You could possibly play these under Dev mode on Xbox one and Xbox series id rather do that then lug a a barrel of physicals around when disasters rip ya house into the ground most of these games are on back compatible since 2023
