For the fat ps3 that MW2 got stuck in, you can flip the switch in the back on and off and start spamming the eject button. Turn the console on by pushing eject.
Old save files are always neat to wander through, I say leave them. Also, I'm embarrassed to say that I had no idea the ps3 changed the color of the light if there was a disc in it.

There's also one things I wonder; have there ever save files of Japanese types of games (JRPGs and similar) on any of those consoles? I can't remember ever seeing any.

Yeah, you should do a series of exploring various game’s save data from used consoles and even memory cards of older consoles. Then try to analyze what they were doing in the game, and speculate on why they possibly stopped or got stuck. It would make for a very interesting series. I sometimes like to do that myself whenever I come across some random save data from a used game/memory card. And I’ve seen other videos similar to that, but with the quantity of your repair purchases, you could possibly have that series run forever. And if you backup the saves to explore them on another main system later, it wouldn’t even have to slow down your reselling process.

The blown out wiis are probably because of some capacitor issue. MattKC did a video where he fixed a wii with a video issue with bad capacitors being the cause.

NBA 2K18 was the last in the series to release on 360, so it's worth more than you probably think!
Its worth 10 bucks. NBA2k games in general arent worth much. I picked up a brand new copy of nba2k16 for 5 bucks.

I actually bought a lot of 4 broken (RROD) 360's where one of them is the Halo 3 green console. I've fixed one of them so far (blown caps) and recorded it but hesitant on uploading because I think the editing kinda sucks and didn't think people would be interested. After watching your videos, I'm thinking about uploading it more now but still don't know lol. Love your videos though, keep em coming!😁

A video of you going into people's old saves on games would be a great series. I would format the console afterward, too, before selling it for privacy reasons.
honestly i’d love to see you make a series of exploring old game data that some consoles have. like when you mentioned in the minecraft world, imagine pulling up like MW2 on a random console and they have played the game. it’d be kinda nostalgic seeing their old classes they used to run. or do that with NBA, Black Ops, or any game that you own that they also have data in. i think it would be a pretty cool series imo!

The reason there was a photo on the photo channel is because when there was an sd card in that Wii they set a photo as their photo channel icon

I'm not surprised with the recent play times. I was still rocking my 360 until I got my Series S in 22. And I just picked up an old Wii and am still playing it now! Haha.
I remember I had a problem with gamecube looking really washed out and it was because of third party av cables in the UK being for ntsc... It looks like your Wii cable is official... the only thing I can think of is check the region of the console

If our old Xbox 360 still worked, it'd be a very interesting piece for your collection. We had one of the original's that you could only get by winning from the mountain dew caps, got it a week before they hit the stores, lasted a good while, longer than we heard most last. Came with Kameo, and a bunch of Xbox and Mountain Dew merch, so stuff like shirts, hats, ect. eventually we did end up getting the red ring of death, and it never worked again. We had it happen a few times, just not a full ring, usually half a ring, or a quarter ring, we'd shut it off, unplug it, let it cool down for a few hours, and it'd work perfectly fine after. Just we always reset any system to factory settings so there'd be no information on it if we ever got rid of them.

Something that surprises me is how so many of the accounts found on these 360 consoles still have the gold membership on live profiles. Unless those accounts are still active elsewhere, I wonder if they realise that their card is still paying off gold for an account they don't use lmao. You can display a photo on the Wii Menu on Photo Channel 1.1, even without an SD card inserted.

You should consider writing the model numbers of the slim PS3s, as the later models are a bit more reliable while the earlier can be modded with custom firmware, so many people would want to know what they're buying.

Back in the day I had a 360 slim power supply fail. Bought aftermarket one and sold console. Customer then complained the power supply was noisy. Sure enough the fan was loud as all hell. So I took the cheap fan out and put a quiet one in. Weird issue, but happy customer lol

I’m thinking the Wiis being played in April and July 2020 was definitely people bored during Covid shutdowns and taking out older consoles. I took out my GameCube from the garage and booted it up during those months.

My kids and I made a huge number of Minecraft worlds with a big variety of fun ideas on our old 360. Loading them up is weird and intriguing as I try to figure out what we were making in the game 8 years ago. So yes, I'd love to see abandoned Xbox 360 Minecraft worlds, I'm just not sure how hard it would be to do that on a bigger scale for a video.
I SECOND THIS. used to play so much Minecraft on the 360 with my nephew years ago and unfortunately lost all the saves of our worlds and my own, my power went out while i was moving them to a usb, and i wish i could revisit them. id love to get a glimpse into these peoples worlds too and see what they were doing

The wii saves a version of a photo to show on the channel so if you have zero pictures, itll still show the copied version. For where the Wii stores it, I have no idea.
