How you have to mount a downpipe on a bmw E90 E91 E92 E93 320D With the N47D20 motor
This is the same process for all cars in this range bmw 1series, 3series, every car with this engine
Steps are the same for other cars
Downpipes improve the flow of exhaustgasses and you can pick up easily 10-20 HP with them on diesels while enjoying a sporty sound.

The best video so far on EU car exhaust repair =D ..trying to find out if it is possible to replace the flexpipe between the DPF and the rest of the exhaust. Looks "clamped in" the same way as in this video to the DPF, but I dont know how to replace it and perhaps if there is a way without removing the DPF? (I hit a bump these roadserviceguys put up that was really sharp and unfortunately my exhaust holding bolt was damaged -EVERYONE MAKE SURE THAT BOLT IS SIDEWAYS OR YOU MIGHT FACE THE SAME DAMAGE..! ) So; well; Since you guys took the DPF off maybe if you would be kind enough- can help me with this question?
Did you put the hose that go on the dpf on the downpipe to? Or did you plug it? Im in garage now and dont know how to do with the hose. Just put it exact the same as the particle filter?
Same steps for e90 320d (m47)? Where do I buy only bolt-on downpipe? Im pretty bad at welding.
Hi I fitted the same downpipe to my n47 318d did you have any problems fitting the temperature sensor to the new downpipe mine wouldn’t fit in, do you know if I would need it or would it be getting mapped out anyway.
Did the car have any lights on the dash? Did it go into limp mode? Or have you remapped?

Heej super film man! Eindelijk een dedtige how to voor de n47 motor. Een vraagje. Hoeveel kost de downpipe? Als ik Oliver Versen ingeef op fb kom ik bij een duitse gast terecht xp. Ik had graag ook downpipe omdat myn dpf ook ver vol zit.Mvg

Hi mate Im struggling to pull out my def from m57n2 , maybe you got some solution ? i even took out engine mount and didn't help ..
Master d its quite difficult for the m57, had to do it with my own car also.
Engine mount has to go and engine has to go up a bit.
Not much room...
Placing the downpipe is much more easy
yea even with engine mount off , doesn't help much , i give up ..

exact the same steps ...
but need to turn off software DPF first or? because car will put in safe mode..
not true.. no visible faults in the car...
But it's best you go to a tuner and let them write away the regeneration... because with a downpipe there is nothing to regenerate
new map and switch of dpf

and E91 M57
never errors on the computer, but the engine will try to regenerate.. So you have to do an regeneration delete (software)

I have a 330d and im about to mount a downpipe on it, is it okay if i mount it then drive a couple miles to get it tuned?
Dat Boi Should be fine... but do not rev to hard .. boost peaks get higher and you might dammage stuff

no faults
but we allways remap them stage 2 directly after downpipe

@@Wtfisahandle344 stage 1 is just Simply reflushing your ECU (means installing new program on it)

Actually the part removed and replaced with downpipe is the catalytic converter not the DPF. :)
