- With a nice sunny day planned I headed to Kings Forest on the southern edge of Thetford Forest in search of Autumn colours. I was lucky enough to see a Stag Beetle on the path and of course plenty of golden trees.

Thanks for showing the 'wide' cut of the Icknield Way through the forest. I spent my youth on the other side of King's Forest for my Uni dissertation and never got to explore this. Some nice autumnal scenes. Happy Christmas.
Happy Christmas!
lovely..not been out that way [ knettishall ] for years
Ahhh now that’s a very familiar walk! I love Kings Forest. The best time for colour is usually the first week in November when all the beech trees are turning. The drive to Elveden from Bury is spectacular. Happy Christmas Joe!
Happy Christmas!
About 5 years ago, I saw a stag beetle, which was the size of my fist whilst staying in the seaside town of Worthing.
Wow! This one was only about 1 inch long
