    As a revert I’ve struggled with this especially my first couple of years but I’m at a point now where I’m comfortable. But now I just use this time to get decor for Ramadan (tinsel and star decoration) 😅

      In my research i found that maintaining family ties is very important in Islam Alhamdulillah. My non-Muslim family is not big on Christmas anyways but if they were I’d still attend but I wouldn’t be participating in the traditional Christmas related rituals. I might even arrive late or leave early to skip certain activities. It’s important for us to do our own research and verify with people of knowledge (Imams or scholars) and trust ourselves to make an informed decision. Inshallah

    Can someone please answer me. I have 2 kids from my previous relationship (before I reverted). Their father is mormon but my kids are with me the majority of the time. His family does not respect my beliefs and his mother constantly sends gifts for christmas and easter. I have asked her to respect my decision but she does not seem to care. Do you have any advice?

    Christmas is such a big holiday in the west even for atheists, you could say it has lost its original meaning and has become a celebrition of family unity and pretty lights. An example is Japan, theres a very tiny Christian population there but they still celebrate Christmas without any of the worship. Idk it just feels like as long as your intention isn't worship it should be fine to at least give gifts.

    Мне интересно, что происходит с вами на Пасху. Насколько мне известно, в Исламе не принимается за факт воскресение Христа.
    Или, так как вы не в России, Пасха для вас - это просто очередной день?
    Заранее спасибо за ответ!

    As a Christian, I will tell you that Christmas is biblical.
    We celebrate the earthly birth of Jesus Christ and this is a special day for Jesus Christ (devoted to him). We repent our Sins, pray, sing Carol's , dance and eat Christmas cake(contains rum) and doughnuts.. 😀
    Also we eat Biryani (chicken preferably) and wine. Also make indian sweets like chiwda. 😍

    While it's good information it doesn't explain anything about what or how Christmas is against Islam. There are both Christian celebrations and secular celebrations. This video kinda of assumes it's Christian celebrations. I'd bet the play group party was just sweets and punch with presents - I doubt there were religious overtones in it at all. Maybe sone talk about Santa Claus, who is mostly secular these days.

    • @VeronikaEdali
      @VeronikaEdali  Před rokem +7

      Christmas celebrates the birth of Christ, whom Christians believe to be the son of God and God himself. It is very much a religious holiday and we as Muslims are not allowed to imitate Christians, Jews or polytheists! All of the commercial non-sense has pagan roots - also religious. “Today I have perfected your faith for you, completed My favour upon you, and chosen Islam as your way.” Quran 5:3
      There is no need to celebrate anything other than Islamic holidays. Please educate yourself and May Allah swt guide us all to the righteous path.

      @anne-sophiekuentz6875 Před rokem +3

      While it is a secular holiday for many people, a lot of Christmas symbols and traditions come from Pagan origins, which I presume is why it's against Islam. Same thing goes for Halloween, it's not a religious holiday nowadays but it has Pagan origins.

      Not agree … for me it just a moment for being in family , not celebraring jesus ‘s birth.
      Let s see to other religion that we re open minded … and we can respect each other

    • @laimab84
      @laimab84 Před rokem +3

      @@Yousoufnaal exactly, we should respect each other. Islam got nothing against non Muslims celebrating Christmas. However why do we have to celebrate Christmas? Just to please Christian’s? Who is not respectful now? This video is very respectful and got great tips on how to be respectful to each other and find a compromise!

    Why are you lying Christmas is celebrated everywhere not as a Christian(religious) festival but as to celebrate as you said this time of year. Anyways in one hand you may say well we believe in Esa and on the other hand do not like to celebrate His day.
