@gwaid1 if you would close your eyes and just listen you would realize that this is a very imaginative interpretation of this piece...and Kermes has a very delightful and versatile voice.

Sie hat gestern ähnlich gesungen mit dem Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, leider nur eine Arie anstattt 6, weil sie dann keine Stimme mehr hatte! Das war das letzte von 6 Konzerten, die letzten 3 am 13., 14. und 15. September!

I agree with you. Her Rodelinda is indeed the best out there. No one can come close! It's such shame, however, that Mijanovic was her Bertarido. She was just dreadful in it, I think. Someone should do another recording or a performance of it, but with Scholl as Bertarido. It would be flawless! Someone ought to make that happen'!
Das ist eine sängerische Nahtoderfahrung. Für die die etwas vom Singen verstehen. Die anderen überschlagen sich hier in Begeisterung.

Magnifica aria ... voz clara, muy buena eleccion para un alada en favor de quienes padecen HIV, abracemos al mundo con mas amor porque en el estamos todos...lo que ayer en sudamerica fue la burla de muchos...hoy difundido es una de las busquedas que todos ancian encontrar,lo digo porque fui burla de muchos y lo bueno es que no lo padezco, pero algunos amigos mios ya no estan y los he socorrido con atencion necesaria y la oracion a los cielos de donde toda ayuda viene !

Ganz anders als Bartoli, aber das darf ja sein! :) Keine zwei Stimmen, keine zwei Sänger, keine zwei Menschen sind gleich! Im Barock war es selbstverständlich, dass jeder das Stück auf seine Art präsentierte. Ja, bei Farinelli hätte ich gern mal Mäuschen gespielt... ;)

Why is she moving like a gospel choir?
Yes, she's quite good in the fast, showpieces coloratura arias, but it seems that she can't handle the slow ones. She cannot sustain the middle notes, where her pitch always sounds uncertain. I think that her "Empio, dirò..." is absolutely flawless, but in arias such as "dove sei...", she's painful to listen to! It's was so disappointing... I was so excited for her Bertarido! =/

Exactly! Unbearable! Interesting enough, the problem is only in the middle voice, apparently, because her top notes are just fine! It's such a pity, because her voice is really something!

I would recommend a good hair stylist and some lessons of italian. On the stage she colud be less lively... the aria colud comes much better!

she sounded great in the studio version of this but this performance is definitely disappointing… if you listen to the first scale for instance the “come naaaaa” part, she missed quite a few notes on the scale on the second half.
