My tastes definitely lean towards traditional, but I just love Joel’s work. He’s never, ever, ever boring. That predominantly white living room is just spectacular, and the colour of wood is just the right warming element.
If there is something I have learned watching videos about North American decorations, is that they love chairs/sitting spaces. Beautiful condo!

Such a beautiful home!! I'd love to see more of the colours of the artworks sprinkled by way of cushions, accessories etc. Also light coloured curtains for a subtle contrast!

Nice reno. I've always preferred all white walls and ceilings. Although we did have a wood ceiling in oak in our living room of a house we used to live in, and it really did look gorgeous. And if you live in Manitoba, Canada, there's always plenty of sun year round.

Gorgeous. I love the white. The camomile room was deliciously different in all the white. But it all flowed.
I'm usually anti white box, but in this case it works. The owner wanted a light & serene space and the designer delivered. I would only change the breakfast chairs to a soft color. Love that they left some floor space open.

Three bedroom condos are so rare, it's funny to see someone live in one by herself. Would have been interesting to see what a designer would do for a family living in the same space.

Nothing to do with being unimaginative. Some people like a white decor and enjoy light and airy spaces. White is a good neutral base colour where you can add to it. Stop being a negative nancy. And please learn to spell if you're going to throw shade
Stunning apartment! I love Joel's work, but I don't get all the rave about the "amazing views", when all one can see are dark, grey sky scrapers.

It's a beautiful and calming home. What is the paint colour brand and name for the white in the main area, please?
White walls refresh and brighten all spaces. However, to make it interesting they need to be textured. There are many options decorative plasters, microcement, wall panels like polyurethine rocks are so so trendy. If you just paint walls it make the space looking unfinished.

full reno + design for a condo around 1000 sq feet would be around 300-350k
i have same color combo in my apartment. i like minimalistic style, nice change for overly cluttered american type decore. home surfaces arent packed with stuff and decorational pieces,make spaces look busy and messy. Only thing i would say that there is too many dining options in one space, there is a bar counter, breakfast nook and then bigger dining table at the other side of the room, its just too much options for one space, less is always more.

Love the simplicity of the bedrooms but the white paint is a negative.
I like the before cabinetry of dark wood. It’s too white and bland for my taste.

It is difficult to judge functionality of this space. He does not show the entrance. Is there some storage or no? I do not see neither the fridge nor TV. Minimalism is not just light color walls, minimalism means lots of closed storage.
I like contemporary spaces with neutral and/or light tones as much as the next person, maybe more, but even for me the living/dining/kitchen is all too white and bland- white walls, white furniture, white curtains. He chose a lot of the same furnishings and decor elements you see in a lot of design videos, very McGee & Co.
Tacky, the floor is nice though.
