    There's this Igbo adage that says "when you see another person's corpse, it seems like a log of wood until it's that of a family member"

    We are not even sure what exactly led to the girl slumping, but it’s already established that she has no bad medical history, and she was in perfect health when she left the house. Accidents happen YES! But I fault the school because;
    1. How in the world will any school organize an inter house sport, without factoring in an ambulance/first aid/ medical team, for possible eventuality
    2. The moment you rushed the girl to the hospital, the right thing to do was to reach her guardians immediately!
    3. What did that child do to Chrisland school, that they rushed her to an immunization center (according to her mother). I don’t understand
    4. how didn’t it occur to the school management to shut down for a bit? These kids watched their friend die in their presence (she was confirmed Dead on Arrival), aren’t they worried that they might be traumatized?
    See ehn, I’m upset, I can’t even imagine how the parents and family of this child feels, if I feel this way. This is not even the first time something like this is happening in Chrisland. Mtscheww

    The child stepped on a live wire where she went to get a candy and a person trying to help poured on water, thinking it was going to help. I blamed the school for negligence and why the F is there no medical team on that field!!!!!!! They are all raving mad in that school and YES parents are part of all these problem and the term “ MY CHILD ATTEND THE BEST SCHOOL” hence why most of them are giving excuses for the sch. SMH and PLEASE NO MATTER WHAT, DO NOT POUR WATER ON ELECTROCUTED PERSON.

    It makes me wonder how many things these schools have covered up, especially boarding schools where you don’t see your children on a daily basis for them to tell you things. The schools probably tell children not tell their parents certain things that happen in school. That Dubai incident would have been covered up had the students not posted the video.

    • @anonnona6433
      @anonnona6433 Před rokem +1

      Thank you very much. The bullying. The molestation. Hmmm. The children definitely know so much but are too scared to tell their parents. Even if they tell them, I guess some don't want to get involved for fear of putting their child in the lime light. It is always a statistic until it happens to someone close to home. May this never be anyone's story😳

    it's so sad that Nigeria is the way it is. Parents who still send their children to such schools, keep quiet when things like this happen and believe it won't happen to them; they are Nigeria's problem. I don't care the cost or the stress, I cant have my child in an environment that have shown nothing but consistent negligence and failure as an institution. they don't even feel the pains of the deceased's family all they care about is their damn business. "e no go better for who do Nigeria"

  • @bluebird4815

    This is sad and i cannot begine to imagine the pain those parents are going through. That school needs to be shut down!!! They clearly don't care about the children and they lack transaprency.
    I'd like to make a small correction. There is a difference between a Cardiac arrest and a heart attack.
    When you have a cardiac arrest, your heart instantly stops beating and pumping blood. The reason it stops is because of a breakdown of the electrical system caused by arrythmias (irregularities). Up to 70% to 90% of people who experience cardiac arrests outside hospital die within minutes and they surely are dead on arrival.
    In the case of a heart attack, the blood flowing to your heart is blocked off. When that happens, your heart (cardiac) muscle is not receiving oxygen and it will start to die off. Both very fatal conditions but one is more manageable if the right treatment is started immediately.
    On that note, even when not so common, yes, children as young as 5 can have cardiac arrests.

    Accident and emergency situations happens alot in schools and especially during sport event. I am of the opinion that CPR and First Aid training should be mandatory in all schools regularly for all staffs. Students in Nigeria should also be thought Basic First Aid lessons.
    Just as civic education was introduced into the education system, a subject to teach students CPR and First Aid, Fire emergency management including fire drill and environmental management. Every person should have a knowledge about how to practice these.

    And parents still have the temerity to enrol or keep their kids in that school.

    9:49 Remember this is a rich people's school. Most of them are too comfortable to get out of their mansions and fight "another person's battle" . The same way most rich people will not get out of their houses to vote. The are very comfortable. They can take their child to another school in a split of a second.

    @Uncut with Ada and Nelo. This is not the end of the story. It was found out that the child was electrocuted by a popcorn machine at the stadium, and water was poured on her, making the issue worse. That was why her tongue was black.
    A fellow student explained, and it was recorded.

    An unknown source said that some eye witnesses reported that she was electrocuted from a road side pop corn machine, that she rested her hands on it and it electrocuted her, and the teachers was pouring water on her when she fainted (this is the wrongest approach to someone who had electrocution effect, water is a conductor of electricity so it will even worsen the situation), I feel what happened here was uninformed careless from the teacher, and of course Nigeria govt, cos if things were in place why would a pop corn vendor be selling with a faulty machine unchecked. This story may still be false (I'm not certain)

  • @angelieoz
    @angelieoz Před rokem

    Hmm interesting.. 6:55 the school is always to blame not the victim or the parents of the victim . Regardless of the institution, this can happen to anyone in any school in any state . It was very a careless situation and not very surprising cause well.. it’s Nigeria. Those things you think can be swallowed or easily excused are very very likely to cause an accident even though there hasn’t been a scandal yet. These scandals starts with 1 victim that could be anybody.
