    Is there Break vents for the rear as well?. Would have been nice to see how those fit in.. I have been fighting the Back wheel wells rubbing.

    How do you install the rear fender inserts?

    Hey Mitch I’m about to start doing my wide body conversion , But I’ve been reading that with wide body front fenders the inner wheel housing had a gap. Did you have the same problem or is this strictly a problem when trying to use OEM front fenders.

      It does have a bit of a gap unfortunately, I was actually going to go over that in this video but ran short on time and I cant remember if I went over it in my wide body install video or not. I haven't found a good solution yet but ill be working on it. Also, I have noticed after starting to push the car harder in corners when using spacers or running wider tire and offset the front tire likes to rub on the inner wheel housing lip now, so that will peace will need to be trimmed as well.

      @@MitchCarveth I know from looking around SS vettes makes some inner wheel housings extensions but I don’t think they have them in stock as it won’t let me purchase them even though they show them on their website but I just know that’s something we both have to figure out lol

    I have the exact same issue with my fog lights bolting up to my front bumper from JD corvette. The fog lights don’t line up at all with the new bumper. What route did you go with on getting them to work and line up properly or did you just go with a oem front bumper?

      Sorry to hear that but glad to know cause they acted like I was the only one that has had this issue. I might try to spend some more time and figure something out but I’ll most likely just go with an OEM bumper.

    Question...I want to add the Z06 cooling ducts on my base model as well. But, the inner fender well needs to be modified to fit around the cooling duct. How did you manage that issue?

      Sorry for the late reply, I am able to use the Z06 inner fenders because of the widebody

    Why not start with a ZO6 and avoid all that work.

    • @MitchCarveth
      @MitchCarveth  Před rokem

      Because a Z is basically done from factory and I wanted something I could work on.

      @@MitchCarveth In other words, your work rather than pay for a complete car. I get that, but I wouldn’t make that trade off.

      A low mile Z is gonna be another 20-25K easy.

      Facts, saving that amount allows me to get track parts for it.

      a Low mile 05-13z now a day's fetches for $38-50k. You can buy a base model for $20-27k. You have room upgrade your base with bigger brakes and other things. And it will still come out cheaper than buying a low mile Z.
