Thanks for reacting to this song 😊 one of the things I enjoy about listening to this song, is analysing the lyrics and how they change toward the end. Like when the narrator says there 101 steps at the start, and then by the end when he realises he hadn't lit the lighthouse and caused the deaths on the ship, it changed to "10,000 steps round and down and I'm hell bound." their lyrics and writing as a band can be pretty good sometimes. If you wish for more there are quite a few of a good songs they've made.
Sonata Arctica vocalist Tony Kakko is a close friend of Tuomas from Nightwish. Hope you react to more of Sonata!...

Thank you wery many! This brings me straight back to the 90s. What a great band, especially live. Those "double kicks" were such a "TradeMark" to the band, you could hear them miles away and you knew, ok, it is Sonata playing now. Also many years a special guest for Nightwish or just Toni Kakko, the vocalist with NW. Toni is also a founding member of "Northern Kings" with Marko, Jarkko Ahola and JP. Leppäluoto. Toni and Tuomas (NW) are close and "best friends" for way back. Their "walkabouts", hiking, walking/camping in the Finnish Wilderness are "legendary". You need to learn Finnish, so you could watch those videos / clips here in Tube😍🤩😁Best regards from Finland!

Really needed the lyrics for this one... Sonata Arctica have a few songs where they tell stories, rather than have the usual verse-chorus thing. Give them another go, would try Dont Say a Word, thats probably their most famous song. They are fantastic live, just like Nightwish. they often toured together back in the day.

I heard Sonata Arctica open for Kamelot along with Battle Beast in 2019. The singer has a good voice, I just couldn't get into them that much, for reasons I can't explain.
Another Finnish band. And another of those that if you find live concert performances you should check out. Tony Kakko has very interesting voice.

Wonder if you'll end up like me.while i'm a HUGE NW fan. Symphonic metal is ok. I like bits and pieces of it all. And of course if you got a buzz, it's all good. I did grew up a prog head YES , Genesis, etc... I mostly like my R n R straight up. But NW is the exception! I just flat out love everything they do. They are awfully good aren't they? i believe that you yes i mean you are the only channel/person that watches and listens to the whole song with out stopping it after a few seconds just to talk for about 3 mins on the opening and then that's all you get through out the video so i would very much like to thank you for not ruining the song for everyone that has subscribed to you THANK YOU ho i am loving your reactions for nightwish and if you don't cry to nightwish's songs your not human they make me cry and gives me chills up my spine but that just could be floor's voice

You need to pay more attention to the lyrics and you will like the song much more. It is a drama based on feelings of guilt.

Normal society that doesn’t listen to metal saying that metal music is only satanic and evil. They don’t realize how beautiful and majestic it is. this one girl and my job told me to turn off my satanic music and I was listening to full moon.

Hmm, initially I thought that we were in for a treat and about half way through it got tedious! I think I saw on your face a bit of that ‘when’s it finish look’ maybe I’m wrong….
I think it needed a bit more variety in the phrases used throughout, it was too samey to me!

First time hearing this. It’s not bad…but it’s not very good.

This story had too many repetitive and simplistic motifs which made it a bit boring. It was also noticeable in your expression when listening. Otherwise, there was nothing wrong, but I would prefer to listen to such music at a classical concert.
