Watching this video, I fell in love with you guys. Sistah, you are the embodiment of my feelings when I listen to music! This video was a 30 minute journey through emotions for me.
I've always gotten goosebumps when listening to this song, but I never cried out loud before. You brought that out of me and it was wonderful!
I've been a hardcore Nightwish fan for over 10 years, but rarely have I felt their songs this intensely.
I'm subscribing right away to you guys and I'm looking forward to watching all of your videos.
Thank you for this wonderful experience!
LE: I completely recommend you go to one of their concerts. I've been to my first one this August and it was two whole ours of musical emotional roller coaster which left me with a thirst for more.

@@HalfLifeSistah this performance of this song was my introduction to this amazing band and the absolute powerhouse that is Floor Jansen! I loved it so much that I have literally watched every reaction to this video on CZcams, and that has led me to you guys. I couldn't believe that finally I found someone else who felt about this performance the same way I felt let alone 2 of you! I immediately subscribed to your channel and now I look forward to seeing the notification pop up to let me know there is another amazing video been uploaded from my favorite couple on CZcams. I would love to see you guys react to more songs from this concert or in fact I would sit and watch you react to the entire show! Thanks so much for making me feel like I am not alone, as no one around me seems to be affected by music in the way that I do. Even though I am half way around the world from you guys, when I watch your videos I feel as if I am right there with you. Thank you so much again, and please keep doing what you do! It’s been 5 years since this video dropped but from time to time I just need to come back to this. Not because of sistah’s reaction but because of Wolf’s.
His reaction to hearing Floor singing for the first time is so pure and reminds me of why I first fell in love with her voice.
Long may she gift us with her voice!

U nail it. It was Sistah first get me hooked and fall in love for this very lovely couple. But recently when I have watched again, to soak energy from their reaction, if I have anxiety or similar...but I just realize how deep it hitted to Wolf. I have learned more about his relationship to this band, what it mean to him as I have watch their other nw reactions. It is just so beatufil how Wolf seem to feel in this video.
Thats why I want to throw question to you Wolf, sir? It is that u feel like found something long ago losted precious again? Or like u find your way home, in this context? I ask because I feel like u were anxious to see newest singer and instantly u start to realize, like u said yourself: " She fits nightwish perfectly"..so.did u feel reliefed in some sense?
I really hope everything good in your and Sistahs life. I have not watched your latest/newest material in yt.

I found Nightwish for the first time last night! I had never heard of them before...and I thought that Metallica was the greatest heavy metal band ever....and then Nightwish gets dropped into my consciousness...and my mind is totally blown!!! Maybe because I am a bit older now...I'll be 63 in a couple of weeks...and don't explore CZcams for new metal bands, to me that is, and listen to them. I even listened to an "opera" singer react to this song, and she was blow away by Floor. She said that Floor had been a classically trained singer...and explained it pretty convincingly too. She could also replicate the notes Floor was singing and explained how she was doing it. She was rather amazed hearing her in the context of a metal band...instead of singing opera...but understood after listening to the whole song!

I'm sure you'll never see this post but here goes anyway...
This is my 4th time watching this reaction. There are three things (besides my love of Nightwish) that keep me returning:
    1. Sistah's emotional liberation was clearly, lovingly, and unashamedly on display. Although she complimented her husband on his willingness to be vulnerable, it was she who was truly leaving her bare heart out for the world to see. Thank you for your honesty.
    2. The loving, supportive, encouraging relationship between these two people is a wonderful example of how healthy relationships can look. There were no insults, only compliments. There was no snarkiness, only love and acceptance. There was no ridicule, only calming comfort. A beautiful showcase of true love...thank you for the example you set.
    3. Of all the reactions I've seen, Wolf's is probably the best. His commentary and physical response to this song weighed more on me because he has a history there. It meant something more to him than most reactors can possibly understand. It was almost like he had lost someone close to him long ago, only to find them by happy accident. We all get to bask in the glow of his reconciled love of Nightwish. Thank you for adding a depth that many overlook.

When i heard Floor, her voice brought me to tears, and awoke in me something i had thought long dead. Now i cant get enough of this excellent band and Floor. I feel this reaction so hard, especially Wolf's. I was big into Nightwish during my teen years, I was there when Tarja left and then again when Anette left. After going through those, I stopped listening to the newer Nightwish because I couldn't handle a new singer again and missed the other two, and I just stuck to listening to their old songs all these years.
Until last night when I randomly came across this performance and was blown away. And then I binge watched reaction videos to it and came across this one. And like Wolf said, I'm now going to go back and listen to all the Nightwish music with Floor that I've deeply regretfully missed out on. This is NIGHTWISH! Love! Emotion! Appreciation! Energy! Tears! Laughter! A rush of feelings in each song! Please you need to watch this Wacken concert entirely! This wasn’t even 1 year after Floor joined the band, she was still not officially a member and she pulls this in such an amazing way! Me too stopped following them with the new material after my first concert with Annette...and when I learned amazing Floor had joined and watched Wacken’s , oh my Universe! Was so bloody anxious about how Tarja’s songs would sound, I would literally lower the volume so it wouldn’t hurt too much, but immediately my tears started falling down, chills all over and that was it! Now I can listen to all of their songs with the same pleasure! Hardly ever miss the original singers, taking a couple of songs of course! You also have Tampere dvd and the Wembley Arena, all before 2016. Along with Floor came Troy, the multi faced instrumentalist and so well put together as a human being, also present on those 2 last concerts, unfortunately we lost Jukka due to a struggling condition, but before exiting to behind the scenes (he still works with Nightwish but in finance if not mistaken ), he invited his good friend Kai from Wintersun to join the band, and we gained this amazing drummer, with the perfect technic to play all the intricacies of Nightwish’s compositions! Will miss Juka’s energy forever though! Tuomas must finally feel like living a dream come true, as Nightwish, is lifelong project, is now a tight band, having fun as ever, respecting each other and delivering to the fans experiences like yours! And us fans, never get tired of witnessing magic happen! Love heavy metal, but no other band as touched me like them! Going to see them in December for my 4th time, so excited! Thank you guys for allowing us to feel with you the strength of this song, and this performance in particular! The elements Floor introduces to places in the song where we had only instrumentals, and all the levels she reaches, make it my top 1 performance of all times!

The band hasn’t been more complete since Floor joined them and Floor has never been a better singer. I’m too a big heavy metal fan, I love industrial metal and some types of black metal, but Nightwish is (together with some other Symphonic/Power metal bands) something special.
I see them live November 5th in Berlin! ☺️🤘🏻❤️

The Greatest Show on Earth live at Tampere 2015 is probably the most notable, most epic, and longest Nightwish song and performance that has existed thus far. It is about evolution. Evolution of the universe, of man, of philosophy, and of music. It would be awesome to have a reaction of that masterpiece!!!!

Un Tal Mr. X Yeah, some people are going to prefer what they prefer. I love that one for the fact that Richard Dawkins is there and comes out on stage. However, I love the timed fireworks at Tampere. Floor adds some vocal flares at some points, such as “life” at the “Enter life” part. And also her saying “We were here... Kiitos” at the end adds another level of emotion to it. And I would also say the music mix is more balanced at Tampere.

I've been a fan of Nightwish for 15 years and couldn't bring myself to listen to Nightwish without Tarja until a few years ago, but I only listened to the album Annette was on. No disrespect at all to Annette, she is a good singer but her vocal style and personality weren't suited to the aesthetic or sound of Nightwish. It wasn't until a few days ago that I finally listened to this song and I can honestly say that I regret not giving Floor a chance sooner. They look so much happier and Floor suits them perfectly.
Sistah expressed more freely what I felt when I heard this for the first time. Floor is definitely the Valkyrie that Nightwish was in desperate need of and I'm happy they found her.

Hard to keep it together, isn't it? LOL Loved your reactions. Here's what I came up with:
WHY "GHOST LOVE SCORE" BY NIGHTWISH COULD BE THE BEST MUSICAL COMPOSITION IN THE PAST 50 YEARS
I should begin by stating my music credentials, which do not include much in the way of professional training. I can read music. I took classical piano lessons in my elementary years. Started with the trumpet in high school band, but spent the last three years in the percussion section. I have been a part of a church choir from 1st grade until now. Most of the choir directors were good and a few of them were true vocal coaches.
My early music appreciation was steeped in the Baroque, Classical and Romantic periods from ensembles and concertos to opera and symphonies. So there's that. When I could afford to purchase my own musical selections, they were by and large rock and roll. Then the likes of Emerson Lake & Palmer, The Moody Blues, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, and Rush came along to create a new genre called Progressive Rock. This class is defined by longer songs that usually tell a story, complex scores influenced by classical and jazz, and (usually) a bigger variety of instruments. I have been stuck in the early '70s, enjoying 50 year old favorites until about a month ago, when I discovered the next morph of Prog Rock... Symphonic Metal, which had been a thing for almost 20 years, now. I never knew this because radio stations rarely air any piece that goes beyond the average length of 2 minutes and 49 seconds.
I was poking through CZcams one day, and came across Elizabeth Zharoff's channel, where she gave her first reaction and critique of a band that she (and I) had never heard of. Nightwish! As an opera singer and voice coach, her viewers had repeatedly requested her review of "Ghost Love Score" for the superb voice quality of their lead singer, Floor Jansen. Well, both of our mouths were agape throughout the performance. (2013 live at Wacken, Germany, pronounced VAH-ken, with 82,000 fans.) I listened to Zharoff's critique with intensity, all the while feeling like I had been on a roller coaster. In order to shorten this story, I must have watched 15 or more other "first reactions" featuring this same performance of "Ghost Love Score". They ranged from nobodies, to other vocal coaches, choir directors, opera singers, metal bands, and guitarists. Either these people were great pretenders, or they were all genuinely flabbergasted with both Floor and the band. I will let each one speak for themselves. I, on the other hand, will provide my reasons for why I think this piece is so outstanding.
Nightwish is a six piece band founded in 1996 in Finland. There is a bass guitar (and singer), lead guitar, synth/keyboardist (composer of most of their works), drummer, an Englishman for pipes, recorder, and oboe, and a female lead singer. Since the Fall of 2012, that has been Floor Jansen, a genuine Dutch Viking of 6' 2" with lots of classical training. One might think that this would be average except for excellent training and skill of each member playing as one, plus coordinated background recordings by the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the London Boys' Choir. Although these great attributes apply to a majority of Nightwish scores, it is perfectly displayed in "Ghost Love Score."
Remember the genre Symphonic Metal? A symphony is divided into four movements; the first movement is usually fast (allegro) and introduces the main theme, the second one is slow (adagio) and tells a story, the third is medium and louder (scherzo) and brings the story up to the point of resolution, and the fourth movement is another fast allegro or rondo, bringing back the first theme to a crescendo for the finale. "Ghost Love Score" does all of this in less than 11 minutes.
The first movement opens with the drummer as the feature, pounding out an odd rhythm. It took me awhile to figure out that it was alternating measures of 6/8 time and 5/8 time, giving 11 beats to the cadence. I won't even focus on the accompanying backdrop screens and pyrotechnics going on. Not an easy trick to keep up. After a few bars, the tones are modulated up and the band goes into a 4/4, 3/4 mix, until Floor takes the microphone with a steady 4/4. The tune is soft and the voice is ethereal as the topic is introduced. This is a love that has been lost, but memories abound and a piece of the lover's heart will go forever missing. Lead and bass guitars perform a masterful counterpoint under the vocals, which is repeated in the 4th movement.
The second movement blends in after only 8 beats and a couple of cymbol strikes, and a change is noted in the overall broader sound structure. The music is still in 4/4 but Floor's presentation is slower, more deliberate, and adds meaningful insight to the first. In fact, she stays mostly in a chest voice, declaring the things that were and might have been. As in many symphonic pieces where one instrument copies another, the lead guitar repeats the melody that Floor sings, ending in two slide riffs, high to low. Following this adagio, there is a brief instrumental interlude (over two minutes) as Floor leaves the stage. The orchestra continues and the melody becomes more somber, adding tension as the audience holds its breath.
The third movement (scherzo) blasts everyone's attention with the prominent drummer switching to 6/8 time along with keyboard, guitars and what sounds like 50 strings. Floor returns to the microphone and belts out what sounds like a sea shanty song, followed by a series of perfect pitch operatic shouts and 80,000 voices join in. Chest voice equals more power. At this point, the instruments mirror the strange 11 beat syncopation as in the beginning. A brief drum solo bridges this to the final movement.
The fourth movement (allegro) by no surprise, follows suit. Dropping back to 4/4 time, the finale begins with the repeat of the opening theme, only it is more robust and it quickly builds in volume. The vocalist becomes the focal power who pushes the finale to its conclusion, nailing a long A-flat #6 for the crescendo and resolve.
After reviewing what I just wrote, I realize that a synopsis of this work proves nothing of its being a masterpiece. At least, I focused more on the symphonic purity more than anyone else that I have watched. Some of the reaction people started to comment about it, until Floor started to sing and she, rightly so, became the only topic. I can only recommend that you watch and listen to "Ghost Love Score" at least three or four times. The eyes and ears will pick up on something overlooked each time. I am convinced that each member of the band not only knows their instruments, but understands music theory and could hold their own above the crowd as solo artists. I have listened to bassist Marco Hietala sing solos and he has a magnificent voice. I have listened to Floor Jansen sing the cover for the country song "Shallow," proving her multi-style talent. This specific composition, however, brings them all to the perfection of a well-oiled machine, becoming a sum much greater than the parts. To arrange and perform the multiple time signatures and stay in perfect synch with instruments, vocals, and even the insertion of prerecorded philharmonics at the appropriate places is nothing but masterful. Floor Jansen happens to be the third vocal lead for Nightwish and is the perfect fit. She sings with confidence, without trying to overshadow the other members. She exudes passion and energy, mixing her vocal styles from, lullaby, to folk, to metal growl and shouts, to opera. She engages with the fans dramatically, like she is singing to one listener. Quite frankly, I have never heard a voice like hers, and switching between angelic and blowing the roof off the stage in perfect tune has left me, along with all of the "first reaction" CZcamsrs, just speechless. Several have displayed the goose bumps on their arms, while others have been moved to tears. In conclusion, I can only say that "Ghost Love Score" pulls the listener into the story. It is the culmination of a 40-minute symphonic piece and a 3-hour opera that must be consumed in 10-1/2 minutes. It is both beautiful and exhausting, but definitely an experience. If Beethoven were alive today, would he have composed something like this? I think "Ghost Love Score" will stand the test of time as the best of this era.

Floor can and does do all their songs perfectly! I bought VIP tickets and got the chance to meet the band in Miami last April. No diva personalities there. They are all wonderful, gracious, and down-to-earth people. Note that, in this video, the venue producers estimated this crowd at about 82,000 fans. So, during that minute-long orchestral intermezzo (pre-recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra, btw) you had 82,000 totally amped-up metalheads, who came ready to headbang, mesmerized into near silence so deep you could almost hear crickets chirping! How many bands can wield THAT kind of stage command? :)

@Ad Lockhorst Floor has been in After Forever (it was her baby in which she wrote considerably a lot of music), sang with Dutch orchestra's, started Revamp (in which again she wrote her own music), sang on Ayreon albums and shows, on the first Mayan album and some of their first shows as well. So pls. Floor is definitely not just Nightwish. And lastly, she just contributed to a rock project Nightward (not my thing but definitely hers). So, don't ever dare say that she is not creative ever again!
Laura Macri is a very good operatic singer but really that is all she can do. Floor's versatile voice is unique and unlike Anneke's, Simone's and Sharon's. All these ladies have their specialties as well (Sharon has an impeccable high mixed voice, Anneke's mix is more chesty but still light, Simone's is silverlike in sound and nowadays mixed as well) but none are Floor (she can literally do it all: opera, mix, chest, grunts). If you don't like her than it is simply a matter of taste.
