I think this is one of the best song from this album.
Oh yes I thought the same
Agreed🔥🔥🔥
Thats what I thought about all the songs
Easily!!
Wish they all were more like this one
this should have been a single.
So good it's ridiculous
If Hendrix was on vacation in California with the Beatles, they'd probably write this tune. One of the best songs on the record
I love your comment
That was beautifully said
I definitely see this
@@nathanielcharlesshapiro9307 Reach Out and Tippa my Tongue
THE best song on the album
John F makes the Chili peppers so much better
Rock, Blues, Rap, Hip-Hop, R&B, Punk, Grunge, Hard-rock, Funk. RHCP is the only band that can play every style of music in a single song and it sounds so fucking awesome. They are fucking crossover genius.
Frusciante in this album is 🤟🏻
Um. Ween, though.
Faith no more.
@@craigheath8641 Anthony Kiedis probably sensed a disturbance after you posted that comment lol
Check out polyphia cause they’re the future of merging all genres
The Hendrix is also strong in this one. Love that break with Flea and AK. Then Fru and Chad just come crashing in. Epic 🔥🔥🔥🔥
For posterity, sir.
1:05
Love it rock on
Frusciante is from another world 🤯🥵
That Hendrix influence... Sublime
I agree 100%
Hendrix sound never die
Starts like Jimi, ending like Black Sabbath!!! I love this song
This is definitely Frusciante's homage to Hendrix. Such a beautiful song :')
Yes. I think the same
Yep the heavy section is pure Jimi.
First thing I thought when I heard it. Although I’d argue Flea as well. Sounds just like Noel Redding the way he and Jimi would play together
My first thoughts too! I love it!
Bro pays homage every time he plays a lick
This song is perfect in its simplicity. The guitar is very emotional, bluesy and moving. And AK is great both with vocals and lyrics.
Muffin Man by Frank Zappa.
@@TheFuckingVicious yes, they use the same notes and a similar tempo, but it's not exactly the same thing.
This song would top charts in 1968. That's how freaking perfect it is.
This MUST be added to the live rotation
1:27 I first listened to this on the subway and my jaw dopped when I heard that guitar solo. Hendrix vibes are strong on this one.
They are playin' 60s 70s 80s, very awesome
Am I the only one who thinks this is the number 1 best song on the album??
Kinda is…
cant think.. Bella, Shoot me a smile, the Drummer, Bag of Grins.. the album is just too good lol
Mix
I really like handful when the lyrics stutter its so good.
No, no you're not
This is how you play rock with three instruments
this super heavy guitar from John, OH MY GOD HOW I LOVE BEING ALIVE.
Yep, this is one of those songs that we ALL gonna be playing for the next 15 years
Do you people appreciate the era we're in... ??? This is foundational...
you can tell that anthony put his heart and soul in to this, love it
'Return of the Dream Canteen' would make such a good album for a wedding after-party.
That intro gets me every time. Rock on Frusciante
It's sooooo good. He's the king of opening riffs
John is channelling Jimi again. Love it.
This is a killer album, way better than Unlimited Love (and I like it). In 2022 an album like this? Who makes a record like this today?
And this time we can listen to a bluesy song, too! There is everything on this record... some One Hot Minute vibes, some old school vibes, some blues, some 80's vibes, some distortions, some melodies, some everything. I love it!
That solo is on another level
This has a Hendrix vibe to it, but they still own the song, which is why I love them. I can't get enough of the new album.
frusciante can channel hendrix while still preserving that chili peppers sound
Not often old bands came out with albums that feel just like their old music. Peppers with the win!!!
Wow, they should release that as a single, so good! Its quite an unusual track, sounds a bit 60s/70s. This album is very strong, feels effortless, experimental but not too much, nicely balanced.
Effortlessly experimental
Well said
Agreed. Not entirely sure how well it would do today, but yes, I feel it should still be a single.
@@ashleytaylor6212 yeah I guess singles are less important nowadays, but I'd love to see a psychedelic music video for it :)
Gold, this whole albumn is gold, I have to pause the music way too many times like a good movie.
Immediately fell in love the second the blues rift came in
This and Bag of Grins are two of the best songs they've ever made.
Beginning of this song has a serious Hendrix vibe. The whole song has a Hendrix vibe, but especially the beginning. Damn this is a killer song.
Really I actually hear SRV but yeah I def hear Hendrix in the verse and the very end
People outside of RHCP fans have zero clue how good a guitar player John is. You can definitely hear that Hendrixx background on this album. Strait killing it man 🤘
Frus is the last of the great Hendrix disciples
We get how good he is. However, it gets POWERFULLY cringe at how nut hugger it gets with him.
There will be a solo where John just plucks one note and the next day there will be a reddit post about how only God could make a plucked note sound that good.
Then some other nerd would say, "that's because he is God." Seriously it's gotten weird.
@@Allison_Chaynes You forgot about a guy that thinks everyone else is inferior because only john's solo albums really matter :D
I think John better than Hendrix if you could possibly choose, Jimi was innovative but John just is the greatest guitarist we'll ever see in my opinion
I've been listening to the chili peppers like since probably the mid 80s late 80s and yeah John has a very style about him that is of Jimi Hendrix
Thank you eternal flame.. This warms my soul and forgets me of my pain.
Im sitting by the desk in the office and Im trying not to cry. Im moved to tears. literally I did not think that after "dont forget me" there will be a song that will evoke the same feeling in me.... can't wait to hear this live!!!!!
❤️
GREETINGS FROM POLAND ❤️

❤❤❤❤
Me too❤
The bass is so heavy on this
My favorite from this album so far. Strong Hendrix vibes from John
[Verse 1]
Celluloid soldiers, come in from the rain
Murder my smile, but please, leave me my pain
All those good people, they don't even try
Stealing the truth while they pay for your lie
[Interlude]
I'm about to lose the things I never saw before
You wanted me to know the ups and downs
Away we go to get another hit, the it
The blood that she's about to spit
You go your way and I guess I'll go mine
We'll both arrive at the vеry same time
[Bridge]
Pleasе, give me your tired, give me your poor
Please, lift up your lamp, walk through this door
[Guitar Solo]
[Verse 2]
Kick down the doors that you don't understand
Please, don't lose sight of this generous plan
Blinded by prisms, we wind up in court
I'm folding chairs while you sold yourself short
[Interlude]
She's about to redefine the way
Reminded me to say the other way was right
She's in a place to pray for me
And now she’s got to flap to flash the funky lighter
You've got your way and it seems I've got mine
Both gonna die at the very same time
[Chorus]
Marry me, mama, that's someone to carry me home
Stick with me, girlfriend, I don't want to be here alone
Marry me, mama, that's someone to carry me home
Stick with me, girlfriend, I don't want to be here alone
John sounds like Hendrix
Jonny Hendrix
In the snow
Carry me Home
La La La La
Some of the best music they’ve ever made
Eddie
when the haunting vocals and the guitar come together... there's nothing like it
Always knew he had it in him. Not just a 'good' Red Hots tune, but an AMAZING song overall! Whole damn album is killer, but THIS song? It breaks AND makes all the rules at once.
John its on fire!!!!!!! JOHN HENDRIX FRUSCIANTEEEEEE! pretty song, my favorite ❤🔥
Frusciante sounds like Hendrix and Lennon came back to life on this one! Amazing.
And Stevie Ray
This track has everything I could ever ask for, and as a kicker Anthony’s vocals sound better than ever.
DEFINITELY a highlight of the album
Once again frusciante proves he's a guitar god
Had me with the first guitar lick. Song sounds like Hendrix and Sabbath. Frusciante is so good. Great song.
what a show on the rio... thank you for existing....
I think this is the best song of the album under every song of the album....
Holy shit this song is incredible.
Old school rock ‘n’ roll
Absolutely epic song. Lots of Hendrix/Mayfield vibes throughout the album. So glad these guys are back!
couldn't have said it better my friend 👍
Damn, John is on fire!
This song have one power from other galaxy
This track is the best of the album !
In the snow, this and La La La La
Are absolute one of a kind unexpected hits
@@NoticerOfficial and Reach Out
Can’t turn this track up loud enough!! Amazing 🤘
For real
Truth
same ❤
🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Seriously though. I know its early and there isn't a music video to go with it (I hope they make one) but this should have the highest view count. Best song off the album. I had a hard time figuring out my favorite on Unlimited Love. This was instantly it on this album. I fucking love it. The message, the sound. The vibe. If it was a 6+ minute song it would be a hallmark ballad for this band.
Agreed❤
This track is pure 🔥
Chilliey peppers prove yet again that they are good.........I mean, really good
Stadium Arcadium plus hendrix style ,awesome
This is so Beatles-esque. Amazing
Maan! This song is good. Romantic and rocker at the same time. ( at the very same time)
Knowing how low Frusciante was on drugs in the 90s and listening to this guitar trip now 30 years later is all all the motivation one should need to keep plugging away.
Best chili pepper song ever imo
It is
what a marvellous piece, John is killing it
M A S T E R P I E C E
I love how everyone gives everyone else something to tear into. John belongs here.
Anthony is singing his heart out
This song live was insane in Minneapolis. It sounded like a Hendrix cover.
Might be the best 2 albums they've ever put out, the best best rock and roll music I've personally ever heard. The guitar work is of legendary proportions, and I will argue that with anyone. I'm talking Hendrix, page, Clapton, frusciante is right there
This song is so beautiful, I can't stop listen to the part where it is just Flea and Anthony. It makes me want a full album of just Flea and Anthony 😂 I just wish that part lasted longer or was used more than once
Same. That and the roaring note that John ends his solo with (after the AK/Flea part).
Looking good, Jacqueline! 😉
@@MikeysMorgue thank you kindly 🙏
Would’ve been an all timer if that part was used more than once
It's not just AK and Flea in that part, you can clearly hear John's guitar playing those same low notes also.
How this song doesn't have more views
This song is the one
Fav song
That heavy dirty bass in this song towards the end is AMAZING 😍
Bum…bum bum bahm-bum….bum bum bahm-bum………. bahm bum………*recording hiss*
This album's so fuckin rich
You know... every single track has a manner of itself... anyone can choose one as them favourite... Look ... this is what the greatest rock band in the world looks like... #RHCPforever
What a fuckin tune man shit touches my soul
John makes the Chili Peppers ers so much better
The last verse you can hear the passion of the lyrics. This song, "Handful" and "Afterlife" are the best songs on this great project.
There isn't one song I don't like on this album. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, RHCP
Since the first time I listened to this, to me it's a fucking masterpiece. Thanks, Chili Peppers, you are the best for ever and ever. Love you guys.
Best song on the album. Hendrix vibes
Has potential to be a chili peppers classic. Best song on the album for sure.
Absolutely massive "Bold as Love" vibes here, and in the best way possible
This magical song. Smell like a old years. I love it.
"PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR TIRED, GIVE ME YIUR POOR." Goosebumps for days.❤
THAT SOLO😭🫶🏽
Makes me happy
Hey John we like to see you like this.
Best track of this album
Mannn.. this song CHILLS me 🥵🤤. This is RHCP.
This is an absolute jam.
Keeping in tradition with putting their best song second-to-last on the album. Beatles + blues
The BEST song on this album 🔥🔥
ufff I love this song!!
Very few songs are able to invoke such specific feeling in me, but when I listen to this track, I imagine walking home in the snow carrying the lifeless body of someone I loved dearly while memories flood through my head. It invokes every feeling of hopelessness and happiness in me at the same time, in a distant future reminiscing upon a past that hasn't even happened yet. I was listening to the album last night and most of the album was admittedly meh and there were some pretty good tracks but Carry Me Home was the first song in a very, very long time that instantly made me cry. There's something incredibly poetic about it that I can't describe with words, as if the song itself is weeping and I am unable to comfort it in its moment of helplessness before being snuffed out. The only band I know that can create such vivid feelings in 3 to 4 minutes of song is the Red Hot Chili Peppers, thank god they're still around after 40 some-odd years. Love you guys.
bit gay
@@mikenewbold1699 lol
@@mikenewbold1699 you mean gay like in it's orginal meaning?
instant tears for me as well!
@@hom0s4cer what do you think?
If hendrix was still alive, I think he'd have made some songs like this 🤘 so amazing
HOLY BLUES, BATMAN!
