Isn't amazing that after so many years they keep their essence intact?. This is not easy to do considering today's music market and trends. Thank you guys for being honest and keeping the soul of the band alive and how is supposed to be. We were expecting this and you guys deliver it.

Frusciante's sound is so distinctive, that you don't even have too watch him play to know that it is actually him. Guitar legend.
Exactly! His guitar is merely a tool for his soul to have its own voice which is unique. If you're interested there is this lady with her Clarinet. Same idea but different genre. Doreen Ketchens - Performance with Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra. You will not regret the search, otherwise I'll owe you a beer. She channels her soul through her instrument like Frusciante does.

@@charles9571It’s referring to the wildfires in Australia a couple years ago.
Thank you😊
The Chili Peppers have gotten me through middle school, high school, the pain of losing loved ones, addiction, recovery, and countless nights both good and bad. Their music and stories have, at times, been the only thing that kept me going. They’re music has been the soundtrack to some of my best and worst moments. Kiedis’ words of pain and anguish gave me hope as I laid in bed sicker than I’d ever been trying (and succeeding, thank God) to kick addiction and his words have imprinted in some of my fondest memories as their music played in the background of summer nights and great times spent with the people I love and care about most in this world, especially those who are no longer on this planet.
I fell in love with them as a kid when I my buddy’s older brother played the Californication CD, devoured their past work, and immediately bought every album they released (including skipping school after lunch in 2006 to race to the Tower Records off of PCH to make sure I grabbed Stadium Arcadium). It’s amazing how this band means so much to so many different people and yet the music manages to touch us in a unique way. I love all sorts of music and have many “favorite” bands and artists but none will ever resonate so deeply in my soul like the Red Hot Chili Peppers. God bless them.
I don’t expect anyone to read this but it felt nice to type all of this out anonymously in a comment section. Maybe it’s because I rarely talk about my past struggles or maybe it’s because I don’t know how to fully articulate this band’s impact without sounding crazy or maybe it’s because a comment section is cheaper than therapy. All I know is that this music has lifted me up and kept me going from the days of CD players on the bus to middle school to today and for that I’m eternally grateful.
Way to pour your heart and soul! Glad ur doing well
I read your comment entirely, and relate to your memories about them. A fabulous band made up of four real people with talent and Love in their hearts. Thx for your candor.

@@conorsmith8551 We're old..?? Some of us have been following the Chili Peppers since maybe like Mother's Milk released? Since you were on your MM lol. I can’t understand how they can still be so active almost 40 years later, not looking like a parody on themselves as many other groups do.
it's called working out
@@rockboy360 working out is important, but they didn’t only keep their physical form in a good state, they still seem to have that spirit of youth. That’s what impresses me the most.
Well tbh Anthony kinda does... but, well, on the other hand when hasn't he?
Well their style is so different thanks to Frusc making them melodic and soulful. The freak funk thing wasn't going to last forever.
And the only one that surprises me is Keidis. The drummer of any band isn't going to get fat, Flea is as active as well, a flea, and Frusc has skinny boy genes. But Keidis is keeping up the fight and I guess working out is his drug now?
Well, they kinda DO look like a parody. This sounds like something out of SA, with no differences in 20 years.

Do you expect a rose to be not a rose, even though coming to see a rose garden? Well here you are, to experience, see, listen and taste who RHCP are. They are who they have always been, more refined, cultivated, each going through different phases in life, experiencing so much without losing touch to who they are as a band and as an individual. The same goes for everything in life, if you expect life to be different than what it is, then you do not understand its essence.
Evolution and development are all about refinement of what is already there, of the potential and its base.
I am very happy to absorb the vibes, I never truly focus on lyrics, but what is expressed by the music itself. The tone, the frequency, all of the non verbal and verbal information that are distant from semantics. That solo at 1:52 is simply mesmerizing. John Frusciante is legendary.
Yes my friend! unbelievable💪
@@tincholegacy5585 and looks like the same as15 years ago.
Chorus, ds2....is that a fuzz??
So true... this a pure beauty !
@@osuspirit sounds like ds-2 combined with some fuzz pedal, probably his fuzzrite. I got pretty close by combining ds-2 with carcosa fuzz
It's insane how good this band STILL is. I feel blessed to be able to still hear Antony, John, Flea and Chad putting together such great music after 30+ years. RHCP is simply legendary.
Very well said. I graduated from high school in 2000 and loved jamming out to RHCP in the 90’s. I’m amazed that 20+ years later they are still EVERY bit as good.
I couldn't believe this was dropped last year. Felt like a 90s RHCP classic that I figured I forgot about. This is one of my all-time favorites of theirs, that's how hard it hit. Legends, indeed.
YYESSSS!! RHCP= BEST BAND EVER, AND STILL MY FAVORITES, WILL EVER BE, I LOVE THE CHILIS ❤
maybe after 40 years youll be able to spell Anthony right
@@Kurtis11266 HEY😜 Who do you mean?! = ME?!?! And Anthony is still very sexy, with 60 years, you know!? Ok, best wishes, stay healthy🙏🏼👁
Bye bye,@C©️🤍❤☮
Brought me back to my New York days...... Love love love
My Dad *loved* the RHCP - and he had hundreds of records and was always into music - this is the first song he never got to enjoy. It's special in a sad way to me.
Frusciante is back. That distinctive sound that he brings to the band with his guitar is very unique. Love the song.
FINALLY IS BACK
He is back. The original version
@Galois si
@Galois listen my friend. Please
And remember Chad Smith and his drum and Flea. The greatest at their arts.
I was born in 92. I grew up listening to rhcp, and I'm always happy to see when new material comes out.
They've never lost what makes them the rhcp...
I hope they never do. It'll be such a sad day when they finally hang it up. Until then, I'll keep listening and loving their material.
By the way, breaking the girl, snow, etc.. I love it all..
They're icons, and next Friday will be my 30th birthday... I hope that if/when I have kids, they'll love rhcp too
Same with all but turn 30 in August
Saaame here but I’ll turn 29 ✨
Me too brother. These guys are TIMELESS!
Same and i turn 40 this year
La música murió, hace mínimo, 20 años. Crecí escuchando a The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Queen, Soda, Radiohead, Spinetta en todos sus colores, The Who, U2, Los Rolling, entre tantos otros .. me apena tanto cuando escucho hablar a los jóvenes de flow
that track is a hit
Respect to Anthony for being ripped as hell at his age.
This song puts a huge smile on my face every time I listen to it. Not just because John is back, but because you can feel positive, nostalgic, and happy energy resonating from the music. And also, it's no surprise how quickly and creatively the four of them are writing together. I'm so excited to hear what else they've written. I love you, RHCP! You guys fucking rock!

They just keep making beautiful music. John and Flea have a sound that can not be duplicated
Best guitarist and bass guitarist combo of all time by a long shot. The most special thing about this band : )
@@soyborne.bornmadeandundone1342 Anthony is also a pretty unique voice and Chad is also a very underrated drummer I think he's one of the greatest rock drummers ever

I just noticed why this song seemed really really good and I thought it was from the 90s but it was from the 20s. I’m such a 20s guy.😂
His voice is still good
Frusciante came back, and everything sounds the same, but even better. Can't believe these guys are still going strong and authentic. RHCP never disappoints. Truly one of the greatest bands in history.
Love bands who stick to their roots, Megadeth does that aswell since the 80's.
@@222MovieMan AC/DC falls into that category. Pushing fifty years strong.
@@tonydennis9437 yes they aswell 🤘🏼
I agree with everyone here - THIS is the Chili Peppers lineup we grew up on and grew to love. I'm so happy John is back. But I also just wanna say huge shoutout to Josh Klinghoffer for keeping the band alive and kickin' for the past few years. Plus a very special thanks for that killer guitar solo on Dark Necessities!
I agree. Although John's albums are my favorite, The Getaway is one of my favorite albums so I will always respect him for doing what he could to keep them going.
@@zachhamilton456 Well said! The Getaway is not one of my fave RHCP albums but it was still one of my favorites of that year if that makes sense. In all the well-earned hyped around John's return, I hope Josh doesn't feel like his contributions were under the mark. He successfully filled John's pretty much un-fillable shoes and did a great job at it!
Love this. Agreed
This is pop garbage.
sooo good to see a john mayer related channel here
Look at them..John's chemistry..no one can replace.
Love the classics don’t get me wrong. But when they played this song live at soldier field last year my spirit started to float oust side of my body 😭
I've waited 16 years for these guys to come back together for another album, the feeling seeing all 4 together is indescribable.
Omg… it really has been 16 years, hasn’t it?? I remember the day hearing on the radio Frusciante leaving (which, at that time, it was assumed they broke up for good) Time REALLY flies!
Has it really been 16 years since Stadium Arcadium?! *Checks google* Holy hell! I didn't realize it had been that long. Guess I'm getting old lol. So great to hear John back in the band sounding better than ever
16 years wow that is crazy
@@justjasontm its been a lot longer since they made good music. Stadium arcadium is for teenage girls only.
When John launched into his first solo I was really overcome with emotion. We haven’t heard that sound since 2008. The sound of John playing his guitar with so much conviction intensity and beauty, backed up by Chad and Flea. It really sent me on a trip.. Pumped for the new album!
yeah John totally has a unique sound and i can't wait to hear more. if you haven't listened to John's solo stuff i would advise it. start with THE EMPYREAN.
For sure bro, when I saw that Jesus looking hair dude I said Ooft lmao, it really got me emotional!! Super amazing to be sharing this moment right now with you guys!! Super pumped for the new album!!
John is my only connection to this band
wait theres a whole new album coming????!!! my days of anguish are over
John fuck yeah
A modern classic with ethereal quality musically and lyrically. Boys are blessed with longevity and skill.
This song is just 1yr old, and it feels like a classic already. AWESOME.
Guh! Right?! I’m listening to it now and already feeling like it’s the old days. I mean hey, I love Josh - but it’s gotta be John doing the thing in the crew. That’s what the mix is.
My dad saw them in a garage in the 80s now he jams them in heaven.
Tons of love for your dad brah
max respect
RIP
As will you and I one day ✌
They screwed over josh
