Yeah, you do have to ask yourself what did he do for him to be placed in a chokehold. Im not condoning this behavior but teaching kids in this era is dangerous. Some kids dont respect adults.

Why? Some people want more information, and aren't going to assume your kid is a saint. What was the kid holding and refusing to put down? Was it/could it be used as a weapon? For all we know this teacher saved the other students with his sleeper hold.

Haven't these ladies seen the episode on Boondocks with Riley and Grandad, they're expecting 1mill, LOL, APS schools ain't (yep I wrote it) got that type of money in their coffers just sitting there. There's more to this story, a teacher is not just gonna put a kid in a sleeper hold without proper reason. So this teacher goes for deescalating training, then what, they're going to ask for his termination because the kid is traumatized just by looking at him. And when the mother gets the full report on what really happened, more than likely she'll say "That's not the point, he's a child".
Im not condoning any violence against children. But what was the situation that led to the boy getting choked out. It wouldnt stop the teacher from being fired but more details are necessary. We know nothing. The parent saying he didnt do anything to warrent being choked out could bs inaccurate. Did he point a weapon or threaten the teacher.. like what happened.
