I was thinking 🤔 Leppar Messiah on either AJFA or the Black album tone? I don't really know if that'd be possible, but I'd definitely play that on repeat.

6:24 Nice Misery reference right there
This is amazing! Great in every aspect. The instrumental is spot on and the vocals are great with basically no artifacting.
The vocals definitely sound a little...off....sounds like AI to my ears, but its still super impressive that things have come so far so quickly.

its incredible what a little change in tone and hetfields vocals can do to a song, it totally changes the perception and truly transforms you back to the 90's era.
While the vocals are a bit rough and some parts seem disconnected- oh my god. What a phenomenal job you’ve done. My favorite song off the new album done so well. I’m such a huge fan of your work with Chasing Light and Too Far Gone?, I was so excited for this. That first solo has THE best guitar tone I’ve ever heard. Absolutely fucking phenomenal. @thewhitetogrey right, that why I find it funny even with a "black album" rework, the load sound can't be removed from the core of the song. Being as I enjoy load/reload it's not a bad thing at all, just funny.
(I referenced load over reload as both albums were practically conceived together with reload being the tracks that didn't make the load album)

@@tuomaster Yes it does. The black album has great sounding instruments and vocals, I'd say it has the best sounding drums and vocals of any album. And this cover matches it almost perfectly. Also, out of all the albums, I'd put the guitar tone at #2. The bass tone is up there too. With the real version of Inamorata, James' voice sounds great, but I think they could've done something different with the way they mixed and edited it. It just sounds off. The way the drums are mixed sounds weird too. The cymbals and hi-hat seem too loud. The guitar tone is great though, but not better than the black album's. The only thing I think the real version gets better is the bass tone.

this cover is so good and isnt just a quick and lowsey remake of tones and AI crap, it sounds amazing and like it was a song on the black album even having a part from my friend of misery, and even adding the way james sang back then, very heavy and simple, I LOVE THIS COVER

Great Work as always, and the Black Album Voice suits best for this song. Anyways, I'd put this one on a Load/RELoad Best of. Especially the last part suits perfectly to the songs of this era.

This is amazingly clean. Only suggestion would’ve been to punch up the snare to match the aggressiveness like Sad But True had, and to thicken up the guitars a bit, maybe with another track layered? Even with bass-boost earbuds the whole thing is a bit thin for me
