These videos either show how good the new songs are or how empty they are without the production we fell in love with.
If only they knew when to give up on trying to be involved in the production and just leave it to the professionals. Hell they did that with Death Magnetic but they couldn't even leave the mastering alone and destroyed the sound.
Thats a very good point. 👍 The last 3 albums have fantastic songs on there, especially Death Magnetic. Wrap them around in a classic, bigger , vintage production like what we have here and the results are incredible. The song's true intentions and potentials absolutely shine.

72 Seasons is a good album just imagine if the production had more crunch like this.
@@nozziexii 👍I like the songs, and most of them I love. I think though, that the crisp, dry guitar tones of 72S and Hardwired miss out on an extra crunch and punch that we have here. The actual albums themselves are very good modern day MetallicA. 👍 I especially love DM and most of Hardwired.
But I think these reimaginings make the songs even better. The bigger, warmer, meatier tone just enhances so much more power.

In an alternate universe, Metallica realized early on that they couldn't really cope with the fame following 'Kill 'Em All', leading to somewhat of a sophomore slump of sorts. Then came "Room Of Mirrors" as a result inspired by said situation, motivating them to keep going forward with their career as a band. 🤘

@@danielcash58 It's not screaming, its called texture. Back in the day he could modulate his voice between graspy and clean ("One for example where he switches between clean and heavy parts). If he stopped doing that it's only because he ripped his voice due to poor vocals technique. However THE iconic Hetfield voice is and will forever be 1984 - 1992.

It would have been a Classic Thrash Metal Masterpiece of an album, if it was released with tone like this one, and raw, Old School mixing and production. They want to attract newcomers and be appealing to larger, "modern" crowds, but they don't really need more money, and we, the devoted tradition holders, are the base and the roots of their fan structure.

I have been waiting for this. And it has delivered the goods. The ice cool, hugely atmospheric tones of ...Lightning strike gold here yet again. I love the Trapped Under Ice vibe it now has, energetically charging along at a more stronger, confident pace with the Lightning snare snapping the song out faster. The harmonies that carry things over the finish line sound triumphant and glorious. And Bloody Hell, you managed the vocals so well! Like your Chasing Light, this sounds like an unearthed gem from the band's vault, brought forth to the present day. Absolute Well Done.
