@@debralpateart8862 some people do it to save up money to move into a legit place. Better than being on the streets for a while I guess. Search CZcams, you'll see videos of people who are intentionally living in storage units so as not to have to pay high rents. It's illegal but people are doing it. They run electricity off of car batteries for lighting, use a small microwave, a heat plate to boil water for coffee and tea. Some run extensions cords from outlets at the facility if it's an indoor storage facility, but they risk getting caught when they do that. It is, apparently, a thing.

I don't know... Been one step away from the street more than once. NEVER thought of a storage unit. I think it is pretty resourceful. Not ideal, but safer than the street, I think. We (as a society) need to get more creative about spaces that might help the homeless. Buying up old storage units and installing shared shower facilities, bathrooms and laundry rooms might help a lot of folks.

I would love to know the story on the person who’s unit it was, something was going on there. Could have been living in it, who knows.
I had a girlfriend that rented a storage unit behind her house. Told me the one next to hers this guy rented, he had it furnished with a bed, chair etc.
She told me he would come, change, and dress as a woman and set in it and listen to the radio. Seems his wife didn’t know about this aspect of his life
My girlfriend and me go up to her storage unit one day to load up for a show and there’s this van parked there, we start loading my truck
Door to the van opens up and there is the guy from next door in this black evening dress and high heels. Girlfriend introduces me, I shake his hand and make some small talk
We pull out to leave and I see the van door open and this other guy gets out and they go into his unit!
    OK

Renee, I would take her medication to the storage place's office. I would leave a note on the locker as to where her meds are. She has probably been off her meds a couple of days if there has been activity by her locker. I would also call her prescribing Dr and let them know. She's been living there quite awhile because there is a screen door on the locker. I bet management knew she was living there. To replace her meds could be quite an ordeal. She will need to go to a county hospital or free clinic. Just the logistics of getting an appointment and a way there is more than I want to think about. Depressed, cold, and now homeless she needs to be plugged into the system.

It's always so exciting when one finds clothes in one's own size! I grabbed a pillowcase of clothes and was so excited because 90% were in my size!! Looks like the person might have been staying in there.

I do have to say, it is now Feb. 1, 2021 and I can see such a huge change in you. Changing up your direction and your "full time work status", seems to have lifted a tremendous load from you. You act relaxed and 😊😃 happy. Good luck in this new courageous endeavor.

Clear someone lived there recently, insulated the ceiling. Makes me sad to think of their situation! Its like you came right after them, and went through what they had left.

I used to work with a lady that her whole family lived in a unit. I was shocked when she told me. I was hard to think she actually lived with her two kids and her husband in a storage unit. Her husband turned out to be an illegal person. She was from Mexico. I live in Central Texas, that goes on here, it's very common. They might have gotten the virus and didn't make it. Or went back because of no jobs. Because of the virus, Our city is now full of homeless people living in tents. Everywhere you look. Under bridges overpasses parks, downtown is full of homeless people. It's like an other world. Picture expensive high rise buildings with tents all around on the sidewalk. Million dollar apartments, with homeless people going to the bathroom right in front of you. I wish I had lots of money to help them , I donate as much as I can to the red cross and salvation army. My blessing to you an yours. Thanks for the video.

You are so funny! I liked the video. I feel sorry for the person who had that unit. It seemed like the person or persons were living in there. I loved the needle point. Stay safe Renee. Delaware😊
