I found a chair like the metal one you got.. I painted it turquoise and made an adorable cushion. Kept it in my bathroom with towels on it for guests. Finally decided to give it away to someone else who would enjoy

Watching you treasure trash pick is almost as good as going out myself. I love finding free trash treasure. As long as someone gets it & it doesn't end up in the landfill, ruined & crushed. My spouse doesn't want me to pick at this time. Oh, and finally an endearing Santa. Love him✨

Wow...that Coleman lantern was a fantastic find! Vintage ones are worth a mint. I kept the older one I found in case of power outages.

I always think that old saws would be neat, hung on a wall, with aged, stenciled words, like "HOME", or "FAMILY", or "LOVE", etc.,... .🤗👍🤗
The wood grain look handled knife looks like a set my parents had in the 60-70’s...memories💗

The Coleman lantern looks dusty, but in excellent condition! Coleman is a great brand. May be worth $$$! ...and it's in the box!
There will probably be a lot of house cleaning trash in the next several months. Who needs thrift stores, flee markets, or estate sales when you can get it free in the trash!
I love getting free stuff out of the garbage, heck probably 30% of what's in my house is from the garbage

Appreciate your thinking and heart I enjoy hearing about your love of books and all. I also love hearing about history too WWII and the ‘‘Battle of Britain’ and old clothes. I worked on lots of clothes on dramas. Nice to hear of your own history too.

I think the saw painting thing was an 80s or 90s fad.
I have an old saw that I bought in Oregon or Washington state that a local artist cut silhouettes into with a plasma cutter: a MOOSE, an elk, a bear and an eagle.

I, literally, furnished the majority of my home with my treasures from the curb ! Just a few minutes ago my brother arrived to cut my grass and he blessed me with a little bench and an antenna for my t.v. !

I'm living in MN since July and I love the variety of things I find in the Goodwill thrift shops and curbside freebies, didn't have any of those back in PR just the Salvation Army, this is fun, cheap plus I recycle and wow it's so fun.

Make sure the lantern is empty of kerosene b4 shipping. U could sell all the jwlry in a batch on line. Saws are still painted with art! eBay them! Ozark, Alaska, and other artists still decorate them. What a great haul! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I almost died! You were right by my old house! I lived on that street and that single home you were in front of at 2:00, was right by mine. I sold my house last year. I used to love walking in the neighborhood you found the Santa. Pretty homes on that block. Even the stone house you sit in front of to talk looks very “ local” to me. Looking forward to watching many more of your vids.

Then I found another of your videos, and a few others, then I found one of your trash-picking videos! And I was hooked! Though I go to many more garage/estate sales than I do trash piles, I have found myself a few treasures in curbside piles. Free is for me! I love your spirit. My vest like that was an embossed velvet type fabric on the front. It's so embarrassing to think of it now.

That little yellow stool was from the sixties...we got one just like it with S & H green stamps!!! Oh, by the way I have painted five saws in the past two years and sold them, so it is not a lost art. LOL

It never ceases to amaze me what people just toss away. Where I live, at least a lot of people put usable things on the curb (not on trash day) for people to take away and it does get claimed. If someone else can use it, don't throw it out, set it out with a free sign.
I think - or hope - that many people do know that people come around on trash day and see what people put out. If not, I can only imagine what is lost to the trash on a weekly basis!
@@PaperandMoose You'd think but I remember when I lived in the bay area we dropped off some junk at the dump and people pulled up next to us and threw out furniture, bikes, on and on, a whole truck full. I was gobsmacked. Of course, that's been a decade ago, hopefully it's better now.

Making a mixed tapes.... wow the memories. Spending hours and hours finding the perfect songs and the coping them over to an other blank tape... giving and receiving mixed tapes from friends and girlfriends/ boyfriends.... wow living in the 80's and 90's. Kids now a days are really missing out on soo much. The world has changed soo much, some might say too much. I miss being a kid in the 80's and being a teenager in the 90's. Man how time flies by. I was born in '75 I will be 45 this year, but I still feel like I am 19. Which is good.🇩🇰😌

When I am cleaning/decluttering I always try to donate anything useable rather than put it in the trash
I remember those Coleman lanterns! As a child in the 70s, my family would go on camping trips, and I still can hear the soft hiss of the lantern burning.
If you know what college team made those video tapes, they might be worth something to someone who played on the team at the time, or was just a student. List them on ebay. Or the college might be interested in them for their archives. You could donate them.

OMG!!! I had that outfit as well, or something very similar! The shirt was the same and it had matching “Hammer” (as in MC Hammer) pants!! I had so many of those matching shirt and hammer pant combos, they looked amazing with my huge hair!! 😛 Thanks for the memories!! 🤩
