    That sucked Sage! You were knocked right off the track and still were within 1.5 seconds. The NBC commentary made no mention of it. I was hoping for you

    I'm a huge fan of MU, I've always said the way she gets caught up in the pack would one day cost her. It's unfortunate it happened at the Olympic Trials.

      Athing Mu got clipped in the semis in Budapest
she should have learned from that incident. Before Kersee she always ran out front to avoid things like this
no way why she would change what was working.

    I think in any of these fast Races,if someone tumbles over before they reach 200m ,id like to see the Race restarted!
    Or extend the lane restriction,before they break!..But that aside,i didn't see it as anyones fault,Athing Mo is a very leggy runner,&her heal got clipped by Raven Rogers,i think? Which wasn't her or Ravens fault!

    The 800 in 2024 is basically a sprint and shouldn't be subjected to 700m of distance runner pack. But I guess I just prefer watching runners run and not a NASCAR race in track shoes. Always sad when it ends like this. But congrats to Nia, Allie and Juliette!

      So what’s your solution, how would you rather see them run? Mu knows she has long strides which are dangerous in a pack, she has two ways to start
.sprint to the front, or stay in the back for the beginning 200m. Period. Her coach should have stressed that over and over and over again. There was no need for her to be in a pack at the beginning, she is too fast.

      I believe that if you are the defending olympic champion and you already have met the standard in the quarter or semi finals USATF should give that runner an option to run the next race or finals..Then, carry a fourth individual for races which will include a Relay Alternate. Now you have a valuable runner on the ground and what will it accomplish leaving those people off the team. I do understand the rules im a former 400 person but, this is how you stand by a person that WEARS USA across the chest and have won Gold.

      @@nateallen2101true. You have to look at the fact that Mu was the first American woman since 1963 or 68 (can’t recall for sure) to ever win a gold at the Olympics and the first to medal period since 1988. That’s a long time but I hope the other ladies can cut it! They have to really want it!

    Mo's fault 100% - there is no way she should have moved inside like she did. It cost Sage any chance of qualifying for the team. Athing Mo owes her a massive appology.

      Lol you’re crazy. Mu is the Olympic Champion and way faster. Raevyn Rogers was also thrown off. Someone in the 3000m steeplechase fell and still made the finals. Its track people fall, false start, hit hurdles, get pushed and then move on.

    • @flowerfaeri
      @flowerfaeri Pƙed 3 dny +4

      Mu is an amazing athlete - no argument there. But whether or not the initial fall was her fault, why did she have to roll in front of Sage and kick her legs in the air? She should have just stayed down - or maintained a forward motion and jumped up quicker - rather than rolling onto her back and kicking, causing more chaos. She really could have got injured by that move. Furthermore, if she had recovered quicker, she may have been able to catch the third spot. I feel for Mu, but moreso for Sage and Raevyn Rogers, who are capable of much better times. It's lucky that nobody was hurt.

      Mu's fault for messing up her own race, not Karen Sage. She wasn't going to qualify but it's not easier to blame someone else than take personal responsibility.

      Reading these comments shows me you are stuck in the past. Over the years you see people fall. Lodged a protest. They are able to run again. I know this was the finals. They should have had a special event for both athletes to run to see what their time would be, if they beat those time that they should have a run off between the ones who won. This would bring more interest into the world of track and field. Side point Mu brings fans to watch the 800! Now all we are going to say is what if? Sad day in Sports to see how we support B.S. but this we are divided. For those that say it's her fault, Loser!
