Coolest hiking boot I’ve ever seen. I don’t do enough of that to justify spending the money, but that doesn’t stop me from wanting a pair. :)
I hope that's the pair I ordered. It will be my first pair of Nicks.
These are definitely on my shopping list!
Beautiful looking hikers. Great job.
Her skiving and gluing at 1:59 is always 10 stars!
Plus a cool shirt
I've had a pair of Builder Pros for going on 3 years. I actually sent Nick's an e-mail shortly after getting them asking for a hiking boot with the Vibram Sierra sole... I've got a pair of White's Outdoorsman boots with those soles and they are great for casual woods walking in damp conditions (gore tex bootie inside) but lack an arch and are too tall at 10" for hiking. When Nick's announced the Ridgeline I ordered a pair without hesitation. In both cases I had Nick's them made to fit my feet. Absolutely no regrets... both boots get more comfortable with use and the Sierra outsoles are fantastic on the trails whether it's a rock climb, climbing over roots, or navigating muddy sections. Great boots!
Good! Thanks For Sharing.
i ordered up a pair of these in 1964 Walnut back in July for my narrow feet - finding hiking shoes in my narrow size is why i am trying these out. i am patiently waiting in Florida - can't rush perfection!
Update?
@@levihubbs3558 received the boots. fit is nice, quality of materials are excellent. break in period was brutal but i stuck with it and now they fit like a glove. i hiked Rocky Mountain National park in May with them and was quite impressed with their on-trail stability.
I misunderstood this at first. I thought you ordered a pair of boots in 1964 and are patiently waiting for them ever since.
I think I just watched them build my boots!
Nice job!
Chique show 👍👍 tmj Mestre!!!!!
Very nice job thank you
Nice! Me want. Hopefully next year 😁
Beautiful boots. I love it
For a work-boot company, the stitching sure is perfect
It better be if you’re paying top dollar
I have a pair of Builder Pro's that I've used on a few day hikes and they worked great. I'm curious what the Ridgeline boots weigh in comparison to other Nick's boots.
That jam at the end got me feeling something. Noice
AWESOME WORK.....😁😁😁😁😁👌👌👌👌👌👍👍👍👍👍
Great song
I’m about to get in the que for a pair of these as soon as I’m positive about what size to order.
Muy buenas botas,buen trabajo
I want a pair but I wish they had more ready to ship options in 11C! I check every day!! Lol I have a pair of builder pro’s 55last in black weathershield with the insulation in them and they’re awesome!
Hermoso trabajo excelente
Wow! I have some boots on order but not in production yet. Is there a way I could get that outsole or is that for that model only? They look great.
Really nice boots! Great Job Nick's👍
2:00 oof, rings and loose clothing next to automatic machinery always gives me the heebie-jeebies
Botas 👢 NICKS ❤️ ✌️
I have a few questions. Why don't you stitch the outsole of this boot and the tactical boot to the midsole and the leather like what you did on the work boots? Wouldn't it be more secure that way, the glue would never wear out and the outsole wouldn't come off? And would that stitch reduce the flexibility of the shoe?
What is that rectangular piece you insert in the collar at 3:56 ? Some kind of foam?
Hopefully this is Nicks doing something a “Signature” series the same way Red Wing does a “Heritage” line. Definitely will be a great market to be in.
Nicks has a heritage line.
@@minghsiuchua8115 Technically no. They also have a work and outdoor line as well.
@@minghsiuchua8115 True
This kind of shoe how much will it cost including sending to malaysia?
Wondering if these could be made in rough out? Easier to wax the rough out. My trail is more wet than not.
Of course.
If your not traveling to deep out there before setting up you’re rifle … this’ll work.
If you’re walking for 8 hours a day on a 2 day treck … something lighter like the Russel Mocs
How can you back up the claim?
What is the material put on right before the outsole? A rubber? Or another material?
PU foam. It gives a lot of squish so that walking on hard surfaces is more comfortable.
I followed the link to the website but the boot shown there has a different heel counter style to this one???
The standard model lacks a pull loop. You can get that on the custom version.
Price?
Could this be ordered but in moc toe with the coyote vibram Sierra ?
Hey there, you should be able to make something similar here: nicksboots.com/365-stitchdown-mto/
Wow 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
How do the ridgeline compare to the Howard? They seem quite similar.
The Howard is slightly taller (6"), and does not have the 360 stichdown with a rubber midsole like the hiker. The Howard has a leather midsole and the traditional partial stitchdown construction with a nailed heel. The 360 stitchdown construction and rubber midsole makes the hiker more water resistant. The hiker will also be more flexible than the Howard, though some like the solid support underfoot of the Howard.
@@TommyNitro thank you for the detailed response
I would try this hiking boot but how to order a pair ....
nicksboots.com/
Just out of curiosity, why this stitchings didn't go through the outsole like in builder pro or other model? Is there any advantage or disadvantage to that? Thank you!
Yeah, more water resistant not having the stitching go all the way through.
It's due to the material between the midsole and outsole. It's extremely soft for cushioning while hiking, and since it's so soft, you don't want to stitch through it.
You see the same for their security boots that is very similar to this hiking one.
Also this makes resoling 100x easier.
Wonder how this would stack up against a limmer hiking boot?
Maybe we will try it on the channel sometime!
Has anyone tried them? Why not just get a logger or something else? What makes a boot a hiking boot?
I'll gladly pay the extra money for America quality and to keep American workers working.
How much for this hiking boots
nicksboots.com/ridgeline-quick-ship/
Cool that they show the production.
I doubt they are the worlds toughest hiking boots, plenty of stiff conpetition there especially by German and Italian bootmakers. Some of them use leathers that are around 4mm thick which would be 9-10 oz. Its almost disrespectful, but its just a marketing gimmick, but some humility would be nice.
Name a brand. Do it.
How muchL
The website is way too complicated to navigate, why not have a page for each boot style which then shows every variable.
Exactly!

very good shoes that I can't afford 😞
They’re actually not that expensive when you consider a pair of Nicks will replace 2-3 pairs or lesser boots. They can be resoled and rebuilt.
@@hpkntnw yes, I saw a video of how they restore and it's very cool. but I looked on the site for prices from $ 400 and above, this is very expensive for me

Hello
Very nice work
I am cobbler .can you gave me a work .I am interested in your work plz
Great boots. Thank you for the video. But boo carhart.get that man some better overalls
BLACK BOOTS WOULD BE NICE.
🙃
"Hiking" boots? No.
"See you in six months" boots.
I love 10 lb hiking boots.
Weight definitely isn't everything. Arch support is pretty important.
It's actually 5 lbs for the pair, but hey if you can't walk with that kind of weight no shame in using a pair of Nikes running shoes
Who doesn’t?
I prefer extremely uncomfortable 10 pound hiking boots
якісь вони гейські
NOT Goodyear welted!! I’d never buy a stitchdown construction footwear, period.
Look at some longterm reviews of welted vs stitchdown. Stitchdown is a lot more waterproof, and doesn't let in dirt and debris into the boot plus allows for better rebuildability)
Why not?
I don't think you understand the product...
When you get can buy the best hiking boots in the world for around 200 that are handmade why on earth would I spend 600 on these. Absolute madness.
What brand are you talking about?
Who? I'm looking for a good pair and these are $$$
Do tell.
This comment is hilarious 😂… name the “best” boot at $200, I’ll wait
You just gonna leave us all hanging?
I'm sorry, but they should be lace to toe with D-rings etc. etc. They look like work boots with a Sierra outsole. A little more effort wouldn't hurt.
I personally hate lace to toe! Once my peanut bison order comes in, these will be my next purchase. Perfect for my line of work where I might be in the field all morning and board meetings all afternoon! They are really adding a lot of new styles lately! Hopefully one will fit your needs/likes, they truly are fantastic boots!
“A little more effort”??? 🙄
@@joshlambert1247 I own a pair of Buider pro's and love them. They're amazing boots and I could go hiking in them if needed. Lace to toe is needed when doing a lot of up and down hill or side hill hiking to keep your feet firmly in place, that's why classic style hiking boots are made that way. I just personally think a lot of Nick's new styles look like the same boot, different color and/or outsole. They're trying for variety but they're just not that different.
@@minghsiuchua8115 It's a hiking boot. Hiking boots are supposed to be rigid.
@@KB3AOL In the design department. They look like a shorter builder pro with a Sierra outsole. I'm sure they're awesome boots, I kind of want a pair. But, I wouldn't say they're a hiking boot.
No steal shank wtf these 700 boots
