It's a great day when Dave releases a video! Thanks for taking us along! 😃
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video so far just started watching
Agreed. 🤘🏼🤘🏼
He's not to famous to answer comments yet, that's awesome! Most people don't answer comments 👍
I try to answer as many as I can. I'm actually in a truckstop parking lot right now using their wifi to answer comments
I’m sure you realize that many of your viewers are riding along in our imagination, as we are too old, sick or dying. Our last chance to see this amazing country! Thank you! 😊
I agree, but I think broke should be in there somewhere lol
@@davidr1777 Forgot. True. Social security doesn’t go far.
@@davidr1777 Nailed it. All of the above, plus poor and living on disability. Yet there's always something to be grateful for, if you're willing to look for it.
WELL SAID!!!!😅😅😁🤗🤗
And at least One of us is going thru Phy. Therapy, nursing a broken ankle ( motorcycle ). 2-1/2 months and counting . . .
☆
Thank you for taking us with you on the journey and always trying your best to remind us that there’s a big world out there to explore.
Hi Dave.. Thank you for sharing your Road Trip.. What a great way to find some peace and set priorities in order..!
My wife and I have started watching Betting on Alaska and may I say, you and Brooke did a fantastic job raising that young man. The world needs more young people with their heads on straight! Oh...also enjoying your vids too...
What he said. Except for the wife part.
I live in AUS and swear by it for its beautiful landscape but damn now i know why everyone loves America, at least these beautiful untainted parts.
I have watched this 3 or 4 times and have fallen asleep a couple of times to it. What a great story. It makes me homesick. I am so happy for Mickey. And Belle!...whether she wants it or not.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I never realized until viewing recent Alaska Videos that the insects are so thick, and big. Can put a damper on the fun.
10:18 Wowzers... That's gotta be absolutely rad in person... The mountains look like lemon meringue pie glittered with diamonds or somethin'...
I absolutely LOVED the Denali Hi Way. My most favorite place on Earth in the 16 years I lived there. I have never seen anything so impressive, and now I'm in north western MT, and that still holds true.
OMGoodness, I just realized who you've always reminded me of, Dave! It's Dick Proenneke! I fell in love with Alaska because of him and at times you sound just like him! Anyway, I appreciate all that you, Brooke, and now Mick are sharing! Blessings to all of your family!
Great video something about taking a bike trip by yourself even for a couple days is so cathartic brings peace to the soul
This is making my brain feel at peace 🕊️
I just sighed all the way through. I'm grateful for you taking me to places I will never get to see.
Aww tat was awesome, especially the scenery yes...thanks Dave for riding with you..be safe 😀wow tat was awesome 👌
I agree totally. The things we did as kids, I cant imagine letting our kids do.
Wow! Quite the ride! Thank you so much for taking us along. Something I won’t do but hopefully my grandson and his girlfriend will enjoy on their motorcycles. Thank you
Three Whiples rendezvous for a garbage omelet but enjoy burritos as their family meal. 😋 This was fun 👍🥰🥳 🏍
Man of the same heart, nothing gives you the sense of freedom like being out on a bike, I have had a bike from when I was 15 yrs old and I am 70 yrs old next weekend and still ride a bike, many thanks for sharing, cheers Ian from England
Right on
Thanks. That was a great trip for those of us who won't get to see it any other way. It was good to see Brooke and Mick, too
OMG! This video brought back so many memories! In 2010, 3 of us started in Glen Allen , self supported, on our touring bicycles and rode to the Denali Hwy, rode the Hwy, and went on to Denali. We then rode the 95 miles to the the back of Denali National Park and camped at Wonder Lake. It was one of the most incredible 2 weeks of my life! The scenery! The wildlife! Like you said, you can’t do it justice with a camera! Absolutely awesome! Thanks for the video!
Dave, you and your wife have kept me motivated for a while now, glad to see one of you kids taking up the same lifestyle. Much love from another Believer from down Kentucky way!
Another thing you can do when you get Older Dave, ... is hide your own Easter Eggs. Hahaha Excellent video. Thanks.
U and the girl in the woods are awesome dont ever stop making videos, i enjoy them very much
In 2012, went down the Denali Hwy on a Caribou hunt w/ friends. Went to mile 88, one area the Caribou migrate through. When we got there, I spotted a grizzly on a kill he had covered. They got the grizzly. According to Fish & Game, then, if you killed a 3 yr old grizzly, you saved
20 Caribou & 20 Moose in his normal life span.
You are so right that cameras an never catch the awe and majesty of this amazing place called Alaska. That's what made me move here from VA!😊❤😍
The most into the area than ever...such a beautiful nature all around 🎉
A friend of mine took that trip twice! Drove his BMW all the way from ohio to Denali! He has 450,000 miles on that thing and has never washed it! Crazy bastard he is! Thanks for sharing!
Love this! Such beautiful scenery! Please don't take this wrong, but I had to chuckle when you said you forgot the cover for the Go-pro because it reminded me of Mick forgetting his sleeping bag on his camping adventure last week! Just too cute! Y'all are such an amazing family & we are thankful to be brought along for your adventures! God bless!!!
Yes, seize the day. Take it in as you go. Get up and go. Life is short. Good video.
Those mountains are absolutely beautiful ❤❤
Great road trip, Dave!! Thanks for taking us along🤩
Thanks for ride absolutely beautiful.
Love those sunsets and sunrises
Wow! Thank you for taking us with you.
As a motorcyclist myself, please make more of these. I could listen to you explain Alaskan routes all day.
Dave, you & Brooke make me miss Alaska so much ❣️ Carry on Son. I am having adventures again through you & Brooke ❣️
Beautiful, thank you for taking us along. Blessings.
That's a great family! Praise the Lord!
I love it when a video drops on this channel. It always brightens my day.
Thanks for taking us along on the ride, I certainly enjoyed it. You are right about the camera not seeing what you see with your own two eyes.
Thank you for taking me on this trip with you. What a beautiful place. I love watching Mickey's channel, and of course Brooke's too.
GOOD 👋 DAY 🐉 MATE! Gorgeous Dave, Thank-you For the Wonderful Journey. Safe Travels!
The veiws from a bike in alaska are hard to beat on a nice day!
Gee Whiz! You can sure tell that you and Mick are cut from the same cloth! He looks a lot like his dad! Thanks for taking us along to Denali!
Loved tagging along! Lots of interesting things and gorgeous views! Hurry up and make another video!
Hi Dave, I make the trip to the Denali Highway every year. I usually take 3-4 days across from the Cantwell side, I take my time to camp and fish. Then, I go the Glenn Highway to Wasilla and back home to Willow. The lodge in Paxton was called the Paxon Lodge. I worked there as the dishwasher many years ago and the family that owned it were a crazy bunch, always arguing, lol. It was nice to see you making this trip, it is one of the no.1 areas to go. Great hunting as well. Thanks for sharing.
Such a happy momma. Beautiful family man. Hope you enjoy the rest of the summer!
Awesome trip, thankyou Dave for sharing your adventure. Yourself, Brook and now Mick are all inspirational. May our Good Lord bless and keep you all safe 🙏🏽❤
Thanks for filming this. It was fabulous to see all the beauty there.
What a nice little adventure. As a lifelong fan of motorcycling (who also took a break of sorts when becoming a parent), this was especially engaging. I'm glad you went on the trip. What you said about "may be next time, may be never" is true. There are things I took for granted earlier in life, thinking I'd have the opportunity to do them later, but that's not always the case. Thanks for sharing. Be safe and have fun!
Thanks
The view on that bike ride is incredible
Awesome trip! Great scenery, thanks Dave.
"I don't remember any of this highway...that's the good thing about getting older" LOL ;)
People who don't ride just don't know what they're missing. Glad you're getting back out and enjoying having the breeze on the knees.
Good times :)
Great trip & sights; thanks for sharing! Blessings to all 🤗💗🇨🇦
Thanks for taking us along David. Awesome video, later.
Amazing video. Would have never seen these sites without this video.
Loved this video! Your voice is so calming! Your videos so remind me of my time in Alaska as a kid! It was rough roads in the late 50’s early 60’s! But I still love the Land of the Midnight Sun! It was great seeing Brooke and your son. Thank you! God bless y’all ❤️
Beautiful views, thank you for taking us along.
Adventure bikes and dual sports are so dang fun! Thanks for taking us along!
anytime
I
Nice job..great video work..looking forward to the next trip
Loved the trip back through memory lane around Delta Junction Dave, I'm currently running a Kawasaki KLR 650 myself. As I sit here at my desk watching your video while making a 6figure income working for the railroad and pullinga 24hr shift, I can't help but feel envious jealous sad and happy all at the same time. Some days I wish I could just chuck it all and just go out wander around and be totally free but then I think, man I've built 1 hell of a retirement for myself and now I'm in a position where I'm only working 15days a month so I've set myself up with a lot more me time to chase my dreams although it may only be 9days at a time, it took me awhileto get to this place in my life. Keep living your dreams and may God continue to bless you and Brooke with good health and many more years of adventures. Hope to run into you both sometime whether it be in Alaska or back in Michigan, would love to share a campfire with you both.
Awesome!! Thanks for taking us along. Beautiful out there for sure. A great trip
Wow! What an awesome mini vacation/ motorcycle drive!!
Love your life Dave!!
Oh yeah... Already sub'd to Mickey's channel, he's a good kid!
Beautiful trip!! I wish i could motorize my wheelchair and hit the road!! Thanks for the vid, lots of memories!!
Traveling for me these days is not an option, so I resort to fascinating views from you guys to fill that void. Thank you.
Hi Dave,
I am your sons neighbor although I am about a mile away. One day when I see him I will stop by and have a chat with him.
Loved the ride. Used to ride back in the '70s KZ1000 touring bike. Rode one day from Winnemucca, Nevada to Edgemont, South Dakota. Yeppers tired butt is a understatement.😁😁
Hi Dave,
You may want to get a hold of Mick. I left him some visqueen to cover his floor with yesterday. I am fearful that if we get heavy rains that mold will grow under his floor or warp it .
Thank you for bringing us along your awesome adventure!
Have to drag my girl through there someday. 1981 KZ 305 CSR was my first vehicle also. Brand new, never changed the oil on it the whole time I owned it. Ran out the bottom faster than it could get dirty. Dealer resealed it twice. I finally sold it and got an XT 500.
My husband and I Love your videos!
I loved your comment about losing your mind as a parent if your teenager took off on a 1000mile moto trip! I've done a lot of riding and ditched my bike as soon as we had kids....too many close calls with cars that didn't see me. Glad you were wearing dayglow colors and got back safe. Quite a nice ride you shared with us. Be well!
Love this, thank you, Dave. I'm a 71 yr old gal that started riding motorcycle at 38 and have put about 80K miles in the saddle enjoying God's beauty. Your video got me to imagining the smells, bugs, changing temps, and especially the sights - all the blessings of motorcycling. Enjoy all the family's videos so much!
Love your videos still and always. What a great time. Wow Dave.
Dave , youre always a pleaaure to listen to. I guess its your voice , you have a natural "story telling voice" I enjoyed the adventure and looking forward to the next one.
Thanks for listening
I was there in 2019, I loved every minute of it.
Pouting concrete, 4 trips by motorcycle from Wisconsin to AK, and now I’m restoring an old 12’x12’ trapper log cabin. Loving it!!!
sounds like we run in similar circles
Thanks Dave! I so enjoyed your trip! Hi Brooke and Mick!
These videos are such a blessing. I watch them before bed and feel relaxed
Thank you Dave for the beautiful ride. Be safe
Just awesome, Dave. Can't put a price on lunch with family, no matter the roadtrip required! Love it.
Dave...I just want to tell you I love you. Thank you for all your videos. I wish you and your family every blessing God has to offer.
Thanks for the ride haven’t been to Alaska in two years it’s beautiful myself I live in western Maine still beautiful have a great day
This is such a random treat, Dave! Looks like an amazing ride, thanks for sharing.
Dave, thank you for sharing this trip! My wife and I went to Alaska last year. After spending a week on the Kenai peninsula, we drove up to Fairbanks and spent a few days on the Chena river. From there we took the same road you came back on, through Paxson, and stayed at the Lake Louise lodge before heading back to Anchorage. As I was watching the video, I kept telling my wife “I remember that spot!”
You are so fortunate to be able to spend so much time in Alaska, and thank you again for sharing.
Wow man very cool trip. The ole klr mule will never let u down.
Boy did I enjoy that ride, thanks Dave!
I'll second the one benefit of getting older, places, movies, video games, you can enjoy all your favorites for the first time all over again!
Great trip. Thanks for sharing all that beauty with us.
Fun🎉🎉🎉🎉great to see son and Brooke too!!! Thanks friends
Thank you
I appreciate your perspectives on life and being a Christian married couple. Bugs suck but they are part of nature and nobody puts that in the brochure. Rangers lead the way and God leads the Rangers. Thanks for putting out there in the world that freedom takes hard work and dedication and showing America that brand new stuff doesn't equable happiness.
Thanks so much.. The scenery was absolutely beautiful but also your spirit and your voice is such a calming presence in your videos. 😊
Just found your boys channel!! Gonna be a fun ride watching him grow!! Wish I grew up like he did.. but, I'm making the best of what cards I was dealt!!!
Well that was a pleasant surprise for a different kinda video.
2 👍👍 up
Amazing content , thank you, that spring you filled your bottles at looked delicious!
A friend of mine was in the Air Force in 1981 Elmendorf AFB. He set us up with a rental motor home for a week and we traveled this route. It gave me the best pictures. On the gravel we got a flat on the motor home. I think Paxton might have been where we got the tire repaired. Motor home shook so bad on the gravel that the turn signal lever fell off along with one of the cabinet doors. Glad too see it hasn't been paved over. Good times! Thanks for sharing that.
I'm not surprised you ride a KLR650 with Tusk gear. Simple, reliable, well built stuff. Safe travels from a fellow Michigan biker and future cabin builder.
Thanks for taking us along. Beautiful scenery. Now I have a vicarious sore butt.😅 I've been keeping up on your son's videos.
You and Brooke have done well parenting that young man. You should be proud as I am proud of all of you. Until next time sir...God Bless you and your family.
What a Cool trip. Thanks for bringing us along. Gorgeous scenery. Great to see the three of you together. Thanks again! 🎉
Dave, this was one of your best! Thanks so much.
