As a genuine fan of this band, I wish people would react to literally anything other than Smooth Criminal. Their originals. Even just Movies. They have other good videos. I know that wouldn't get as many views though, sadly.

I had Anthology myself, it was a damn good album. Wasn't a fan of "Movies" but every song other than that one was amazing. "Calico" in particular is a jam, great guitar work on that one. "Whisper" should've been a single too.

The video was both a pastiche of and tribute to MJ. Believe it or not, someone had MJ listen to this version of his song and he absolutely loved it. He greenlit and even helped with some of the aspects of the video itself.
They actually became friends. So much so that at MJ's memorial service, his family requested that they play this version of the song.
This never gets old. This song will be fire forever because it is timeless just like the original.

There are a lot of easter eggs in this, and i will not list them all, but the glove chair he is sitting on is a nod to his one glove and the chimp is a representation of his pet Bubbles (and as much as i know y'all hate it, i will be *that* person [it is an ape, not a monkey, monkeys have tails, apes do not])
The monkey was a tribute to MJ's monkey he named Bubbles

I peeped that too. I’m hoping that’s not the case. Maybe she had to have blood drawn or something. But that bruise is pretty blown out hospitals are usually good about not doing that. She is so pretty and sweet I’d hate to see her get eaten away by that shit.

@@cindymcanders I saw that too and hope it ain't what it looked like. And no matter how good the hospital is, some people can be really hard to get a good draw from. I'm one of those people and have to tell them every time what needle to use and how that really nice looking vein they are looking at won't work.
