This may have already been said, but MJ gave the green light on them making this video. He loved this version so much his family invited AAF to play it at his memorial tribute, which they did. The video is full of so many homages to MJ you have to watch it many times to catch them all. If I remember correctly, they did the video on the cheap and recruited their neighborhood to help make it. They have another song called "Movies" with a great video worth watching.

The impossible lean is real, same technique that MJ used in his video, bolts in the stage and socketed heels on their shoes, allowing for that little bit of stage magic. It's a good cover too...
it's not the same thing they did in this mv, as when MJ did it you only see him leaning on one side, they used wires in this one

How this got made... AAF's bass player knew MJs long time drummer, The drummer told MJ these guys get it and Mike said okay AAF okay.

I have always and forever will love MJ...and this song. It doesn't surprise me MJ approved, because they really did him proud. Definitely on the best covers list, because while they made it theirs they still stayed true to the song! That's the mark of a great cover, and it's rare.

In order to do the lean, there was an invention. The bottom of the dancer's shoes have a slit with a lock at the end. There is a sort of screw that is one ground and when they "click" the screw into the slot, it holds them to the ground. Guess who invented this and has the patent in his name: MJ.

I've always believed that a cover should bring a fresh view to a song - which is absolutely the case here. Another example would be Gary Numan's electronic classic "Are Friends Electric?" which got a blues cover by Chris Whitley in 2005. There's also a band called "Moody Bluegrass" which does bluegrass covers of The Moody Blues - they're pretty good.
