Thanks for watching!
This video just popped up on my suggested home page. You have taken me down memory lane! First time I was at Trewethett Farm was in 1968 with my parents! We returned year after year! (Driving from Switzerland!) Back then, the same families returned every summer. The road to the farm was gravel with lots of huge pot holes! I loved it! It was 95% tent campers, as caravan owners didn’t want to tackle the gravel! Us kids would go down to Rocky Valley without any parents in site! We became very good friends with the original owners…….such wonderful memories! Thank you!
What a lovely site thanks for sharing your experience.
Great little video.. Poppy is living her best life for sure ❤️🐶❤️
I accidentally clicked on this but you got a new subscriber because this is amazing
Thanks for subbing!
Gorgeous views. Loved the pictures of little Poppy. She looks beautiful with the stunning scenery behind her.
Great informative video , Michael and I are off there next week 😎I’m not looking forward to the narrow roads 😄♥️👍
Ohh wow!! 👍👍🤩
Thats probably my favourite site so far!
What magnificent views!!
Have a fantastic time there and look forward to seeing your next video.
Thank you. 😊👍
I just love this coastline, hope you enjoy your stay, hope the weather improves too. Take care and thank you.
We were in that top field in October...it was so windy and thought the van was going to go over🤣 we moved to a lower pitch 1st thing in the morning next to coastpath. Great walk up Rocky valley below the site....
Yes, I can imagine how windy it could get there!
Wow what a lovely site with amazing views. Thankyou both for such great videos cheers
Lovely video, great views and thanks for the site tour as we plan visiting there.
I've stayed here and I think it's a real treasure. Superb location and views to die for. Well done for getting down those roads with a tow-car!
Looks a lovely site, had my eye on this one for a while, thanks for the video and enjoy 🚐👍
We were there last month with fabulous weather! Sunsets every night. Was quite windy one night though...we had pitch 57! One of the best places we have stayed. Enjoy
Lovely site. Great video. Loving this southwest tour.
We were there last year and was lucky with our pitch, but think you could be disappointed in busy times. Lovely site, we will go again, thanks for sharing👍Mark & Coral
Loved every video on this trip and want to say thank you again for sharing and making me feel happy with your travels. Amazing and stay safe and well please 😀
Thank you very much!
Thanks Bob and Jenny Trewwthett site Looks lovely 😃 another to add to the list for the future. Stay Safe 😜👍
Wonderful scenery great pictures thanks 🥂
Thanks for the vid, brought back fond memories of a couple of weeks there in summer 2020. A truly wonderful location but can be mega windy. A few awnings were lost while we were there! We made the mistake of following the sat nav on the way in, ie via Boscastle with a twin axle and long tow vehicle! Access is best via Tintagel A39-B3314-B3263. I have some epic sunset photos from the pitch! hope that helps
Lovely site bob and jenny great directions were going end august bob looking at your video looks lovely site views spectacular big thanks for taken time film this site regards rolf marivel baby ayesha and chance staffi x

Well done again to you both for a great insight to the area you have travelled to ..

Thanks for watching!
Just used your video to guide us into Trewethett site, thanks heavens we did and Phew
Thanks, have a good time!
We took just one wrong turn, quite a bit of fun relocating that transmission tower. 🗼 nice reliving our trip from last year watching yours this year. 👍😀👍😀
Looks like you have some lovely weather there.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo it’s been a hot and sunny weekend ☀️
Another great video.Don't think I would fancy towing my little Eriba down some of those roads. (I was holding my breath for you! Thanks Bob and Jenny.
More to the point !! Love Jenny s new trainers !! 👍🏻👍🏻
Been travelling to the South West for over 30 years and still not seen all of it. Thank you for sharing.
Great site with lovely coastal walks. Last time we were there our awning nearly blew away one very windy night. Thanks for the tour around the site; brought back memories.
Hi Jenny and Bob. When we get a motorhome, we'll be straight down there. Thank you both.
These videos are great. I'm moving to North Cornwall from Devon soon and I can't wait! ☺
Looks a lovely site enjoy
Home from home. Nice vlog thanks for sharing
Beautiful site Bob and jenny
Great footage looks a very picturesque site 👍
very nice site we will be doing this next year. Doing Scotland this August
Nice informative video :)
Hi both, what a lovely site and the views were amazing. Lovely photos of Poppy x
Thank you, she can be pretty sometimes.
Good informative video. Doing a road trip in Cornwall September........ Trethewett being part of that trip. Currently on a road trip in Norfolk/Suffolk...... arrived today in White House Beach site, Kessingland Suffolk. Very windy!!
One of C&MC's most popular sites and gets booked up, in normal times. We have - sadly distant - memories of nervously estimating our 'Pucker Factor' negotiating our 8 metre Hobby 750 and 4 metres of Smart car on trailer along those Cornish lanes! In addition to Boscastle there is also Port Isaac, where you might just find yourself in the middle of a Doc Martin series shoot.
We went to Port Isaac and Boscastle, there will be videos to follow.
We are there for a week in July, this has been a great help👍
This was our favourite site, i mean you have a view of the ocean and we were there with similar weather and it was stunning.
Don't know the north Cornish coast, looks nice. Thanks for sharing. Love to Poppy!
I was there several years ago
Hi all :) , lovely site. My sister is away in Cornwall right now but they Near Falmouth area.
Spent 5 years of my life in Cornwall in the RAF, passed my driving test on some of those roads but you wouldn’t catch me towing my caravan down there!!! Great video B&J 👍
I enjoyed your video
the scenery is beautiful
the sea is beautiful blue colour.
was it cold there?
thank you for sharing
enjoy the rest of your day.
No it wasn't especially cold, sunny, windy and sometimes rainy.
Looks great Bob lucky you missed the strong winds we got at Merrose Farm
Well my 1st ever view of Cornwal looks a tricky place to get to with those narrow roads ,i to breathed in lol great video tho thanks Bob
Thank you, worth it for the views though.
Been years since I've driven down those Cornish motorways, breath in and watch out for those coaches. Lol
Stunning site and views..👌. but the worst experience ever in the wind and rain 2 years ago 😔👍
Yes, it can be pretty rough there, we were fairly lucky with the weather.
Been there, fantastic views, nice and quite, but if you’re up on the top of the grass pitch field like we were it can be a bit exposed and windy.
Hi Bob & Jenny, another great video. As I was watching you choose your pitch I thought it would be quite amusing if you got the one we left last Monday. Missed it by one; we were on 76. Fabulous site, I don’t think there is a single pitch without a stunning view. We did get battered by some very strong winds during our stay. Stay safe.
Thank you
Currently on route to trewethett & using this as our satnav to follow your route 😂
Safe journey
Just booked for September and to be honest was a tad concerned about the approach roads to the site, but pleased to say you’ve put my mind at ease, but will probably be watching the upload a few times more prior to departure……!😂
It was fine as long as you avoid Boscastle!
Had a lovely front pitch last September, stunning sunsets. Encountered an adder on the coastal path on the way to Tintagel #pappystravels
hello, thank you for the video , giving good information and showing the drive up to the site was useful, good also to see the site map of the pitches, were you able to book ahead for a pitch? thank you for sharing this, its really handy for when we are trying to plan ours trips.
We booked ahead for the site, but you can't choose the pitch ahead of time, only on arrival.
Lovely site bob,
Bit concerned about your squeaky brakes, ive noticed them on a few of your vides
Don't be, they only do it when warm, my previous motorhome also did that, probably needs a bit of brake servicing, lack of use. It's still only done 7700 miles, so it's not wear.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo yeah, cant be wear.
I would have the pads taken off then brake clean the anti squeal plates
And a little smear of copper slip on the back of the pads
Will cure them
Safe travels ,keep posting the videos
Stunning views, love Cornwall, but quite buttock clenching in parts!
Great video. Looks a lovely site with fantastic views . Would love to visit Cornwall tho the roads to site look a little nerve racking 😬
A little tricky in places, but well worth it.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo are you going to visit port isaac? Always looks nice when I see it on tv x
Yes we visited Port Isaac, there's a video to come.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo thanks , il look forward to it
Hi Bob and Jenny look's nice out there nice site nice to see poppy having good time take care both off you till next time.
The best view you'll have in a motor home is 3 cliffs bay in the Gower south wales a lovely site so much better than this if you haven't been you need to
That pesky jetstream! You’ve had no luck with the weather.
Wettest May ever?
Looks a lovely site 😊👍
Hi Bob & Jenny, keep meaning to ask - is that a special anti-glare mat on the dash you use to reduce the glare when you're using the camera?
It's photographic cloth and helps to reduce reflections on the windscree when filming.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo Thanks!
Hi Bob & Jenny, another great video. Question for you...
As locals (Cornwall) we think that the roads are particularly challenging for motorhomes, (narrow and winding) indeed as MH owners we often comment that roads in most of the places we have visited outside of Devon and Cornwall are ‘a dream compared’. Even the highlands was less stressful. As a ‘well travelled campaigner’ what’s your verdict? Not meant to be derogatory but would be interested to know how we compare?
I've driven far more in the Highlands than Cornwall, but I think the smaller roads in Cornwall are more challenging, especially with tall hedges.
Yes feel exactly the same and agree about the rds. We are from Devon and have the same problem. Especially the B rds.
Looks a fantastic site . I always have the map out on my knee . You never know when Mrs Sat Nav will make a mistake .
Maps are old school, and no Internet or 4g they will get you around following the sign board's.
Great video. But what is all that rattling?
Thanks, it's usually a combination of empty fridge and rough roads. We sort of got used to it.
how wide is your motorhome Bob, also any internet there ?
It's 7ft 10in or 2.38m wide. Yes Internet was fairly good on EE and Vodafone.
did you take your kite bit windy but cracker of asite
My wife once asked me why maps weren't printed upside down for travelling south? Honest!!
befort sat navs it was reading maps and i have a map i take where i go in case need to see how far i am from a place i like to visit
Some people don't know how to read maps any more. 😐
@@BobEarnshawMoHo AS YOU SAY PEOPLE RELY ON SAT NAVS YES I MAY CARRY A SPARE SAT NAV WHEN I WORKING IN EUROPE FOR THE REASON OF KNOWING WHERE I GOT TO GO AND I CARRY MY EURO MAP TOO BUT HERE IN THE UK I KNOW MOST ROADS ETC BUT I EVEN TOUGHT MY SON THE ART OF MAP READING
What’s the reason behind marking the pitch. Why not just drive straight on and pitch up ?
Fire regulations, so that units keep a minimum 6 metres apart and if one motorhome or caravan were to catch fire it couldn't spread easily to the neighbour.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo so how does a off-cut piece of drain pipe solve that
OK maybe you are asking about the drain pipe marking. It's so there aren't lots of units driving around looking for a pitch, space is quite tight on this site.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo I’ve think you think I mean why have actual pitches I understand the concept behind the pitches but I mean marking the pitch you want with a pipe. Why not just sign in and pitch up on a available pitch. Hope that makes sense.
You do that on most caravan club sites, drive around and pitch up, then let the reception know which pitch you have chosen. This site want you to walk around rather than drive around, and mark your chosen pitch with the drain pipe. Many of the areas on site have limited turning space. The drain pipe stops people also choosing the same pitch while you let reception know which one you've chosen.
Tintagel will test the knees. Great part of the world, good driving Bob , the roads are a challenge
Bob, at the time I viewed your vlog one person and given you a thumbs down. To that person..why bother watching Bob and Jenny's video? There is a lot off effort that must go into producing these vlogs. If you cannot appreciate this then maybe you should watch other stuff instead. All of Bob and Jenny's videos are related to Motorhome issues, so if this is not for you you could politely give a thumbs up for the effort!
Thanks Mark, it does make you wonder.

you need tomtom camper, wont take you down silly roads
Quite happy with our Avtex Tourer Two. All roads are silly around Trewethett Farm. Besides, we were following Caravan and Motorhome Club directions.
Hi guys not one to be picky but your video quality is out of focus while travelling to the site? I watch most of what you do so thought I'd just point it out ☺
No it is not. The GoPro doesn't have a focus ring, suggest you're watching in low resolution.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo I do apologise, I have no idea why it was blurred last night. I've watched again and it's 1080p HD quality. Might of been that bottle of wine I drank 🤣🤣
Sometimes CZcams plays in low resolution when the video has just been released.
I was so disappointed by this site really marked my experience of otherwise great club sites, the dog field is pitiful, I booked a electric pitch with awning (hard standing) I even rang to say I had a traffic delay on arrival, I ended up right at the top of the site to spend a very unnerving stay on the scary steep grass sloping field with two othe rows of units behind, the staff attitude was electric if you can reach a bollard if there is a spare outlet. The pitches were so steep at the highest ramp point we’re still on a five degree slope. It made getter in and out of the van very tricky as the step up became huge, also booked hard standing with awning for dog shade if needed, would be important to use one on that slope, wardens were not bothered and take it or leave it attitude, I repeatedly requested to change to an available pitch as some did become vacant, only to be occupied at high speed by another van (high speed being their approach to the site) is this some secret back handler booking system one wonders
We just enjoyed the views, but the cliff side pitches were so popular, it's difficult if someone just takes the pitch and then informs the office. Glad we didn't go up to the grass pitches then.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo thing is Bob after seeing a runaway caravan cause mayhem at a Dorset club site a week or two before, being put (and this is my point the wardens dictated which pitch as is often my experience on busy club sites not our booking information) being on that steep a hill in marginal damp conditions the slightest clonk from another van/caravan at night and you envisage another runway which on a severe almost cliff top slope is truly a disaster recipe, not the relaxed weekend booked
Also this puts people a very long way from toilet and water facilities
