Great video as always 😊. I went there once with my late friend Alan. They filmed From Russia with love there back in 1963 (doubling for Turkey and Italy at sea). Keep up the great work, been with you for a long time and my favourite always arriving at ❤

Hi bob bit off tack. You said in one of your videos you turned off the tow bar so the reverse sensors work when not towing. Could you tell me how or where to find the information.

Lovely video, always something happening at Crinan. Happy memories of going through the canal and then out to open sea for a couple of weeks sailing. The weather was often the same as you experienced, but it didn't dampen our enthusiasm 😊

Lovely video Bob and Jenny😊 The walk up to The Castle is nearly as steep as the one in Castleton.. love your bike ride videos Bob. Certainly gives me encouragement to get out and about again on my own bike ❤❤

Inveraray was a planned town by the Duke of Argyle in 1700’s. They knocked down the old village which was at the front of Inveraray Castle where the A 83 is now. Then built the current town in its current location. Lochgilphead is not so touristy but is nice to visit. It has independent shops and businesses and chip shop has tasty carry out food. It’s not far from Crinan canal, Kilmartin and takes you either towards Oban ( long but very scenic road), or towards Tarbet, Campbelltown etc which is a pleasant area to visit too.

Hello Bob, great vlog and having just purchased the Garmin 3 plus I wanted to do this on our sat mat but having go around the houses with CACC they have finally emailed me to say they are no longer providing poi files for their sites and moving to What 3 Words instead. I wondered if you have a file of these poi’s I could someone purchase from you please?

Either you showed all bad points of campsite or it looks a real dump. If I go to Scotland I won’t be staying there.

Lovely countryside, and nice to see the local town and canal with Bob and Aileen (lots to see) but that campsite wouldn’t be my cup of tea for holiday purposes.

Poppy was racing up those castle steps! Am enjoying watching your travels here. I spent many holidays in Kintyre, although mostly further down in Southend a few miles from Campbeltown. Looking forward to seeing Arran!

Hi Bob.. the area behind where you were pitched that you referred to as possible seasonal pitches, that whole area is rented to the roadworks contractor. The workers live on site during the week and go home for weekends, it’s to save on travel time.

Hi Bob, may I ask where you got your towing board from please.

Brings back happy memories. We had a static van at, what was called, Battlefield Caravan Park (because the troops trained there in WW2) from mid 1970's until 1991, when it was swept away by the sea in a fierce winter storm. The site was great, very relaxed and friendly, everyone knew each other. We put down a mooring for our 30ft yacht, free of charge, as did lots of people. The little Bar was lovely and lots of parties after closing time. My Dad spent his last 10 years in Inveraray and is buried there. Must get back soon and put some flowers on his grave. Looking forward to your next instalment. Take care.

3:58 Glad to see the kirkyard, My dad's aunt is buried there and the stone is easily visible just to the right. There have been times when it's been overgrown and neglected.

The average speed cameras record the time the vehicle has travelled between the two cameras and knowing the distance between each camera they calculate your average speed. Therefore this stops the common practice of slowing down to the speed limit only when passing the camera.

Hi folks, might be worth mentioning, at Skipness, one mile from the Cloanaig ferry there is the dramatic Skipness Castle and also the excellent seafood cabin nearby. Lovely crab. Both worthy of a wee stop as you're passing. Have a good one 👍 Duncan
