The arrival time has not changed for 12 years as I know of. The roads are very narrow and the arrival time is set to slow those leaving to get out to the main road without conflict on the narrow roads. I always park at the transmitter mast if running early. Never had a problem because I have looked the site up in the hand book. It’s a very busy area so you have to expect to be held up. Some people will cry and moan at the least thing.
What a great entry system. So by the time the 20th person has queued up behind while you're wanding around with a piece of pipe deciding on that prime pitch, the family at the end of the queue are stressed out, bursting for the toilet and the kids are high as a kite on Haribo's. Another quality vlog, thanks for sharing 😊
After the drove the hassle of getting onto the site am not sure how you remained calm with your spoilt view.....think I would have flipped! Can't wait for part two!
Try stopping overnight on the 303 at Willoughby hedge. I always use it and you can get a good bacon sarnie in the morning from the cafe. Weekdays are difficult due to the lorries but Friday is usually good. 👍🏻
I drive down from Essex to Willoughby hedge leaving about 7:30 - 8:00pm arriving just after 10:00. Usually wake about 7:00 and make tea and get up in time for the cafe at 8:00. I leave just after for about a 2 hour stint to Newton Abbot area. Never really hit any big traffic as it’s too dark to see Stonehenge and Saturday morning is pretty quiet at 8:30.
That entry system would do my head in I'll stick to cl,s or farmers fields nobody to get in your view thought the love of caravans were there thanks for the vlog
You mentioned one of my big bears, parking apps! I now have 5 yes 5!! And also same issue when you come to a car park and not able to download the app due to poor signal, so end up walking around trying to download the app, whilst family waiting in the car.
As lovely as it might look Graham, despite your best efforts, I think I could live without that kind of hassle, my brain would be in danger of exploding... 🤷🏼♂️ 🤯
I think we were lucky, no waiting, pitch over looking the sea, but could imagine how bad it could get over finding a pitch, lets see what happens next year LOL

Great vid, dodging the drips in the awning 👌🏻, I know bank holiday was murder around Wales too with extra tents and Motorhomes more than normal at my site but we all just want to get away! Hopefully extended season and may be quieter 👌🏻, I would have blown my stack in that que to get on pitch 😐
We left at 10am on the Saturday you arrived, there were 7 vehicles queuing then, also someone came a put a pipe on our pitch while we were packing up, but I have to say it’s a lovely site and have already booked 4 nights for next year, then onwards down to a CL site near Mullion
@@CaravanVlogger There were caravans queuing from 8am at Ramslade site and the owners were giving the wardens hell because they wouldn't let them in early
Hi Graham, Trewethett Farm looks like a lovely the caravan site. But we will not be going on a bank holiday. 10 caravans in front of you and all the running around you have to do, for a pitch selection. Haha, we are at Trewethett now with one of the pitches that you cant see much view next to the toilet emptying facility with all the same people you described. One of our least favourite sites this season with potentially the best views and experience. Moving on tomorrow thank goodness 🤣🤣🚐 Trev

Hi graham, fantastic sunset, seems an awful lot of effort just for a short stay , no way will I ever travel on bank holidays, I would rather get there before of after a bank holiday. Have you ever tried rallies or cl sites you have an update caravan like mine so you don't need the fancy shower block. What's more theses sites are far less stressful. What plonkers to sit where they did , good for you moving them on .look forward to the next instalment.👍👍

We had the same problem last year thought we had gone wrong but we hadn't, twice we picked a pitch to be told it had been taken by a motorhomer that had gone out for the day but hadn't put a sleeve over and it was tipping it down. To cap it all day 4 the wind destroyed the awning. But beautiful sunsets, won't be returning too stressful

The man then suggested it wasn’t the best place anyway and told me where the best place was, to which I replied “well I hope you enjoy the view from there”. It was such a weird thing for them to do, we were sitting outside our van and they sat right in front😆I was flipping fuming though 🙄

As I said on Twitter it seems complete madness, seems a good site but they need to allocate pitches. I'd be furious waiting that long but to choose a pitch then still have to wait for guy in front to move would do my head in. I get badly annoyed when car in front at petrol station does a full weeks shop and you're stuck. 😂 Has put us off the site.
Love the moans. Reminds me of me and grumpy old men tv show. However hopefully when you do a post on campsite you put foreword how you would improve it. Only saying as that’s what I am accused of by wife. 👍🏻

Not surprised but as part of the good old moan I would say “what they need to do is....”. It’s a thing that my siblings share, and my wife makes fun off, Hudson’s can advise how to do it better on anything. Just thought though in replying to this post I’m doing it again 🙀
TBH I’ve only really had an issue this year. Most awnings suffer condensation. I don’t think it leaks as such but condensation drips from the ceiling and makes chairs and tables wet. We do have a little deflation issue so would have to reinflate a bit after a week. It’s a lovely awning though, those issues aside. Graham

Try reproofing with Fabsil gold. Mine leaked like a sieve. I’ve just done it and no problems so far. Water just beads and runs off.👍🏻
