Pavel Datsyuk is my favorite player of this generation. As a lifelong Wings fan, I don't know if I can say that I love him more than Steve Yzerman, but he is electric. Any fan, devoted or average has to appreciate this video. A classy player on and off the ice. He will go down in my book as one of the most skilled players, but also as a person, one of the best players of this generation.

Chara is a big goon. the fact that pav goes back at him while being almost a foot shorter speaks volume to pavs heart and courage. not a better player in the league, the guy is something special. i'm really glad the pierre said pav should be the league mvp, it's about time the guy gets some recognition.
I left after the game against calgary in detroit, drove overnight and spent thanksgiving in rhode island then got some shut eye in boston to watch this game. That move was so quick, a lot of boston fans in front of me were screaming he kicked it in, but when they showed the replay on the jumbo tron everyone shut up. To top it off it went to shootout and Wings won. One of the moments I will never forget. (yeah I want a fucking cookie! or a donut because there are a million dunkin donuts in bosto)
This video alone is proof that the lockout needs to end. I'm not even a Red Wings fan, but seeing this guy 3-4 times a week is something I look forward to.
