March 26, 2011: CBC's Hockey Night in Canada. Elliotte Friedman's segment 'Inside Hockey' profiles Pavel Datsyuk of the Detroit Red Wings. Originally broadcast on CBC TV.
I grew up following Bobby Orr and I can't imagine not considering him as my all-time favorite. Living in Colorado since 1989, I haven't had much chance to follow Datsyuk. But, given that handicap, I consider him to be at least my honorary next favorite. I admire his hockey IQ, skill, effectiveness and his gentlemanly character. I don't know how he'd do in other sports, but I'm a fan of how specific his skills are to hockey. That makes me more a fan of the game itself. His wizadry at keeping the puck in crowded conditions is especially fascinating. If his skills were more general, such as prodigious strength or blinding speed, then that would still be impressive. But, I like him more due to how specific they are to the game I love.
I love the guy . best hands around and what a funny man to boot. its so great to be a fan of the wings not just because of the success the team has had but also for the class of the guys on the team as well. GO WINGS!!!!
I'm a fan of Pavel Datsyuk, but it's pretty hard to argue against Crosby as the best player in the game today. Though I would definitely argue for Datsyuk being THE most complete player in the NHL right now, and maybe to ever play in the league.
He is up there, but i wouldn't say that he is a complete player when he can't take a tackle or barely dish one out. similar to Gretzky. Forsberg is the most complete player ever.
@@LorentzHallMusicbro what? He is tough as nails. He has taken hits before and has scored right after. He also has given body checks. Get that nonsense outta here
i'm so happy i know russian, so i can watch Pavel's interviews when he is more comfortable. He is hilarious man and so humble.
Most skilled player I’ve ever seen . He is sick

"This was a good memory, good to be a rookie. And I sit on bench and win cup, it was fun"
"It's just; Work, Done, Do my Stuff" Well said Pasha!
He's such a sweetheart
My fav player hands down!!
this is my all time favorite forward....
Early 2000s-Early 2010s HNIC was so golden, and was so much better than what Sportsnet made it into.
i love datsyuk.

Datsyuk or Crosby as best player? Datsyuk.
Even if this guy reaches the 40s...He is still going to be a great player of 30 goals!
Oh my fucking God he is priceless.

Datsyuk '07-'08 season is better than any Crosby has produced.

@@LorentzHallMusic take a tackle? what does that mean?

I feel like flagging this video as inappropriate due to how many players he undresses in these clips.

I bet you all the players he teaches at his school become pros!

brought to you by: viagra, shaming men who watch hockey about their "problem" since 1998.
I don't need it :/
Wanted to insert a crude joke here, but I don't want to be too funny and offensive : )
Work, done, do my stuff.

Corey Perry downvoted 4 times after Pavel kicked his ass

Да уж... Английский у Павла такой ужасный, что страшно даже мне.)))
