So if anyone is curious of real pricing.....this exact setup with cushions is about $23k shipped before tax. But NOT including plumbing of any kind, wall insulation, solar or the roof rack. Which adds thousands more. And the only goal zero they offer from them is the very tiny 1500 model.

As others have commented, "starting at $6k" is pretty bogus as that's nowhere close to anything functional by itself. I like the look of the products, but for this build it looks like the Vantopia bill alone topped $20k -- which apparently didn't include a sink or any plumbing, any kitchen appliances, the heater, the insulation, the fan, any window coverings, or the many other pricey items one would need -- not to mention all of the labor. I'm glad to know about them, but do you really want to spew their misleading advertising? --Their website is pretty low-information, too, incidentally.
The $8k "base price" for this build doesn't even include the cushions!
I'm half way through the video and don't see a bed. Guessing you sleep East to West across the back. And no inside shower.

The cabinet locking system is a first for me, looks like a good idea. Curious about the sleeping arrangement, the two sitting areas must also be the beds, but they look narrow. Floor looks great, not sure about the cabinets. It probably shows better in person. Thanks for showing it.

That's cool for the price. That will help alot of people who want to camp. Spend another $4,000 on power etc. And you have a fully equipped van for around $10,000. Some people spend more that and the van is still half done. That price should be a winner. And, congrats on your subscriber number doubling since I joined the channel. Next stop a million 💪👍. no. the pricing in the video title is fully nonsense. Its well over 21k for this setup on their site. Not including many things he added.
The base price for the cheapest model is what they put in the title. This is 2.5 times that at 23k or more. Let alone the cost for insulation wiring plumbing etc...

Can you Configue a No-Build interior for Mazda 2022 CX 5? w/o removing seats?
I worry about noise from those types of latches while driving. I also would like to know about the drawers. The weak link in a lot of these kits are the drawers. Are they dovetail or is there some other type of design to keep them from sagging over time and pulling apart?
The question i have is,does the lumber make the van heavier than what it’s spec out to be?.

My last van I installed cedar tongue and groove (from Lowes) and was heavier with the cedar. I attached the cedar to plywood. I def over built the last two vans.
@@ilovevanlife The reason why I asked such a question because of the profession I’m in,the more weight you have by adding more to what is engineered to the vehicle will cause you to use more fuel,brake and rotors wearing,oil,antifreeze and being that it’s on a single axle causes you to constantly buy tires,I might be over thinking this situation-but I do watch a lot of Van conversion videos and it’s hard to believe that adding a 15gallon water tank and a grey tank with a small kitchen with appliances wouldn’t cause a significant difference in performance,I see the joy in the making of the videos but there’s no visual videos of anyone saying how much fuel consumption their using or any videos about them going to the mechanic shop. Like I said i might be overthinking this but as a OTR driver that pulls all types of loads this would cross our minds especially on fuel usage.
@@d.l.jtransport9146 That's a little over my pay grade, but this is my third promaster and definitely the best gas milage best feeling (on the highway) vs my other two builds. Remember these vans are made for commercial workers that have heavy equipment and I'm sure Ram keeps that in mind.

Hi, what are the wall and ceiling panels made of? Is it the ACM product from vantopia? Interesting build. Not sure about those drawer/cupboard latches.

The kits are such a great idea! You can have your build anyway you want. I assume, if you have the connection bars installed, you can start with a basic set up and add units later? Thanks for the tour!

This is the good thing about d. I. Y, when you make it yourself. When is manufactured like this? One has done old legitimate wise. I hid and bought in the walls, which means if something goes wrong, you gotta now dig up the walls to retrieve the wiring to find out what the problem is. Electrical problem is with my the wife and my wife's show this way. If there's a problem with electric, I can find the problem. I tell people when you make your campaign dies. Don't hide your wiring. Keep your wiring so you can get to it if you have a problem with electrical problem in the future. And I probably promise you. You will have a problem with the electrical problem later Just like having a house.
The wiring isn't buried too bad. It's ran behind the upper cabinets. Worse case you'd pop one of the upper cabinets off (6 screws each) to get into the cavities of the van.
@@ilovevanlife Don't get wrong, I like the vandal. It is a nice Van. I don't think there's much room in it though, because you've got too much cabin needs and an and furniture in there. You gotta leave from space for yourself to stay in there. Expressive, he's gonna be you and your wife or girlfriend or family.

I'm a long weekend warrior vanlife. Please do, would love to have you join me if you find yourself in New England this Winter/Summer. I just spent 4 nights in the van in a very boujee Vail ski resort in VT. They aren't about the vanlife so much in the lots. Ha. I'm heading out tomorrow evening to get another 3-4 more days on the mountain in NH before this snow is gone. If winter isn't you're thing...I love to surf, mountain bike, and fly fish if any of those are appealing.

I'm not buying no kit from anyone else. I'm making my own because I can I tell people make your own? You don't have to buy that kit. You'll pay a lot more money for it and I use chipboard. They don't use plywood plywood. It's as strong as wood to use.
For the price of kit I would expect hidden screws and nicer door latches

I'd like to know how much your Van payment is because you bought that brand new. You're looking at public $7800 a month? In other words, this Van emptied with nothing in it. You probably have to pay $60000 for it pretty expensthere's plenty of good use when you cut a gut if I have to price my friend but each to their own.
So folks don't misunderstand or get misled., only the wooden kit that attaches to the rails is $6K, all the other stuff is extra. The lights, the wiring, the power, the AC, the solar, the batteries... Those aren't part of that price tag.
Edit: The kit he's showing here is closer to 8K, a fixed bed system is actually the 6K model.
Look closer: all of the cabinetry alone is over $14k shipped.

This kit came in a hair under 20K. The Vantopia website lets you build up your perfect build pretty easy.

A little too Lego like for me. And the latch design with holes in every door and cabinet just adds to the dust intrusion. Unrelieved yellowish color is tough to look at for long.

In there.at all. To live in it. 's too cramped influence Van dat size. It's too cramped, even my van has a lot more space than that and my smaller than that.
It's my daily driver. I don't find it cramped due to all the storage for my gear.

I have to be honest. It looks cheap and nasty. it looks like it's cardboard, not wood. As long as it works for you, that's all that matters.... I wouldn't want it in my van though.

I hope this is DIY because I only respect to people that do BI YI do get it at this level week. People are people who can't make their own things and have to depend on manufacturers and corporations to make their own things for them. We're so custom a lot more money in the end. That's fine, but I'm for the DIY people at myself. Who can build everything ourselves?
First two builds I did in my driveway. My third van, this one, I took the easy way out. More time to play now. I put in the swivel seats, the splash back, and wrapped the fabric, can I get a little love?

Why would you buy a Van for $20000? Guys, I told you before make your own DIY style, you can make your own for quarter of the price. I'm telling you, but I get it. There's plenty of people that don't know how to make a d*** thing. So for those people you've gone spent $20000. Not me not for that, especially when you try to live. Alternatively, it defeats the purpose of living, small and simple by buying expensive stuff to begin with. And if you do in Van life that's gonna be a rent right there. Your Van payment plus the payment of your kit, which is $20000.

I was lucky enough to sell my 2014 Promaster for a little north of 20K last year. I also live on the road with work and my wife is a travel nurse. I didn't have the luxury of a driveway this go.
Some people don't want to build themselves or can't build themselves. Others are willing to do it themselves. That's all.
