Sorry team I uploaded the wrong file this morning, 🙄 this is the correct file. I know I am a mess.
As always, frank comments without repeating marketing bulshit and not getting excited about unnecessary expensive options
🎯 🎯 🎯
I really like Nick's reviews. I like the honesty and well-reasoned opinions. A lot of other car reviewers on CZcams (who depend on staying in the good graces of the manufacturers) are way too positive in their reviews, and do nothing but drool over horsepower and torque. And wow, it hadn't even occurred to me that Porsche is actually selling 911s that don't have a LSD. That totally defeats the purpose, turns the car into a fair weather, straight line accelerator, and is really unbecoming a brand like Porsche.
Agreed! Porsche offering their premier base sports car without LSD is absolute attrocity. Come on!
Rear tires last a lot longer without LSD. For a daily driver it doesn’t matter so much.
@@GarthGoldberg you mean one tire lasts longer?
@@GarthGoldberg That's true but not really the point when you buy a 911
Its because Nick has a very high end day job, so this is truly his hobby.
Finally you’re back! Probably my favorite car CZcamsr!
@NickMurray AWESOME! I am sitting at the airport on my way to do European Delivery of My Rubystar Neo Carrera T... This video literally could not have come out at a BETTER TIME!!
Bold choice!
Congrats! Enjoy your car on Zee OUT-O-Bahn!
Mine is just about to start production, loved my 991.2 T but this one I got to spec out myself. It's going to be a keeper!
Congrats! Mine arrives next month. Can't wait.
Thank you for coming back to your CZcams channel Nick! I almost thought you forgot you have one!
The T is for 911 drivers who care more about the daily driving experience than showing other car guys that they can afford the more expensive versions.
Such a great take on which Porsche models actually deliver the most fun!
The production values and colour grading of your vid’s are also first rate.
I have been watching your channel for a few years and it continues to get even better.
Man I love your videos - common sense, fun, informative. We want more!!!
The video we all wanted about the Carrera T!!! Thank you Nick sir 🎉❤
Hey Nick! Remember me? You sold me your snow tires for my m3!! We met in Greenwich. I just ordered my Shark Blue carrera T with black interior (non painted interior) before seeing this video. Love that this car got your stamp of approval.
Best honest review of the T. Love that Porsche and BMW have started offering built in dash cams.
Superb car. Lovely review too. This Carrera T really looks and sounds something else! Makes a lot of sense to have ‘useable power’ rather than all those fancy numbers which you really cannot unleash except on a safe closed track. Porsches and all ought to be daily driven and enjoyed like they were originally envisaged to be.
I am what you'd call an Early Adopter of Nick:
I first started watching the Mad Lad around a decade ago when he was going Full Karen on Porsche for giving him the run around for his 911 Lemon.
I am glad he is going back to his roots
Thank you Nick, for a great review of the "T". I haven't seen one of your videos in a while. Alway a pleasure to to hear for you you and watch one of your videos
Got a 24 model year!! Coming in August, Ruby Star w/ buckets, rear axle, and three pedals 👍👍
Fantastic information as usual love watching your videos. Thank you
Great review! Really loving my 992T so far and I've just hit 700 miles. I definitely feel that the T is a IYKYK car... not a big horsepower vehicle but a lot of fun around town.
Hi Nick , completely agree with your opinion . I have to repair my 911 in my garage with parts shipped from Europe and the US . My 997.1 has now 16 years and is 100% working, a wonder with our bad roads here in Central America. I want to see all these driving computers in 16 years when all the electronic is falling apart and none of the gimmicks is working any longer . Error codes everywhere , I can actually see it with the Porsche Cayenne GTS from my neighbour (a nightmare!). Keep it simple and always safe travels. Best Porsche channel ever. Kind regards from Panama.
Nice to have you back from New Zealandand and I enjoyed the review. My wife and I are planning a trip to New Zealand next March and can’t wait to see some of the views you’ve shared with us before.
ahh Nick, truly the best reviews all around. Keep it up dude!
Great job Nick. As a ‘21 Carrera S owner w/manual I couldn’t agree with you more. Best driving experience.
Great video Nick hopefully I’ll like mine that’s coming in in July manual transmission and rear steering.
Loving mine, glad I got the manual
Nick looks suspiciously comfortable holding that stubby little stick shift. 🤔🤔🤔🤔
🤫
OMG, he did seem joyful with his hand wrapped around it didn't he, lol.
Welcome back from Kiwiland, were waiting for your next video.
A Festivus for the rest of us - as always great review from Nick. I share the the same enthusiasm about "less is more" idea.
Superb video as always, many thanks Nick.
Welcome back.
Love your reviews: Not sure what the rationale is behind Porsche's decision to bundle certain options and features, but you hit the nail on the head.
I observe the car's owner earned a Combat Infantryman's Badge: Please thank him for his service.
genuine Porsche fan, thats you Nick.
Thanks Nick great video and good to see William back. Greetings from Sunny Blighty. I'm now the proud owner of a 981 Spyper..best drivers car for the money IMHO.
Nice review! T with some small modifications should also be very awesome on the track! Hope to see your new car revealing soon!
Welcome back Nick! Great review 😊
I'm 100% behind you, Nick. Great video, as always.
Glad to see you're back Nick! I was worried your family was holding you for ransom in NZ. Clearly they would have struggled to get anyone to pay hence my concern!
Enjoyed the review. You did a great job selling the merits of the Carrera T Nick.
Buy one Nick! I would look forward to the immense joy, slowly turning to frustration, and finally ending in a lemon buy-back that only you can accomplish on any newly purchased 911 Porsche 🎉. Makes for an enjoyable but also predictable series, and we all love your predictability 👍
FINALLY A NICK PORSCHE VIDEO!!! I cant wait to get mine, its being built!!!! :D
The man has a clue because he recognizes the true value of things and is not confused by key figures and sales marketing. The 911T is one of the most sought-after models on the used car market.
Appreciate your usual candid opinions. As a daily driver in NZ - where the motorways frequently become giant parking lots… I can’t have a manual (due to a left knee injury) - so PDK has enabled me to enjoy a sports car without physical pain… so personal needs sometimes dictate our choices.
I am never running down PDK, it is excellent and does so much more than the MT, it is just nice to have the choice
Hey Nick. I couldn't agree with you more. Less is more. Looks like the T offers a good bang for the buck. Rare for Porsche these days. Great review. Thanks. BTW, you know that ginger giant is drooling for that roof!! LOL
Finallyy a new video!!
Thanks for the notification for the alert!!
❤❤
Nick, your realness is appreciated as usual. Just make sure William is strapped in.
Great review. But my experience is completely different. My GT3 was a great daily. Behind the seat and bonnet storage. Raw and loud. 20 gallon gas tank. Front axle lift. Perfect daily.
I immediately looked at this when I saw the 992 on the Utube thumbnail. Then, I heard Vivaldi playing - Oh, it is Nick Murray. Good review.
Nick's Symphony
I agree with this almost 100% as I have been trying to upgrade my base 992 to a T, however the only regret I have on my 992 is that the base stereo is absolutely horrendous :(
My Base is essentially a 911T before it was announced with sports chrono, exhaust, sports plus seats and no additional options as it does not need any!
T is a perfect package
Not uncommon to hear it's more appealing to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow. My Si and I agree to that statement!
Very nice Nick. Loving my 992 GTS in Shark Blue. 🥰👌🏼
You're spot on... more unique than the base, great value on the T-only options, more driver engagement (fun). It's the 911 for real drivers.
Always enjoy your honest opinion about my favorite brand!
Kia Ora! Love your reviews, Nick! Gracias :)
Hi Nick - how did you find road noise in the T (with the thinner glass) compared with a standard C2 or C2S?
Love the idea of a factory dash cam, especially with audible confirmations.
Tell the owner thank you for their service. I see that CIB on their license plate.
Terrific review. Less is certainly more here. A Kiwi master class in good sense too. At long last the dash cam is offered as a factory fit - a common sense failure previously.
Shark Blue sure does look a lot like Miami Blue in the bright sunlight. Love the color and the car! I agree the T would make for an ideal daily driver 911.
I’ll take mine in Mamba green
Nick Murray content on a Friday ? Dayum it’s going to be a great weekend.
Thanks Nick! I agree with you 100%. Would you do a video with how you would build a 992 Carrera T?
Love your videos, appreciate that you make videos from a "drivers" perspective and you hit home on remarks on how the car drives. A lot of people are looking for perspectives like this as they're trying to determine which model they will buy, i.e. T, S or GTS etc. Keep up the great videos. Anyone know what makes the S model faster than the T on the 992 cars? It's like they're intentionally making this info. difficult to find. hmm
Great review. Thank you sir. Cheers
Agree, the one to have in the line up for sure.
I completely agree with you, Nick. And by that logic, the Boxster/Cayman (GTS trim to get the boxer-6) are the sweetest spot-- plus you get a REAL trunk/boot.
True, but they look cheap compared to any 911.
@@michaeljordan6008 Just not true. It's not about having the most money you know but enjoying the car you bought.
@@michaeljordan6008 really don’t get your rationale here - Porsche clearly doesn’t use inferior quality body-panels, paint or construction techniques on Boxsters vs 911s, so you must be talking about early 986s with the 996 interior? Current 718 interior is on a par with its contemporary the 991.2. The 992 interior is more modern but “quality” of 718 interior isn’t inferior…
Nick is still alive! Happy days
I love watching your videos.
Totally agree, the T is the sweet spot
Fully agree Carrera T is a great car. Had a 991 T for 2 years and then upgraded to 991 GT3 Touring. Completely different car, much more raw but still it is my daily car. If I would not drive a GT3 then I would take a T again, definitely. I would spec it with manual gearbox like the GT3. I also agree that high power models like turbo s with pdk takes away a lot of the fun as you get to maximum allowed speed on the road way to fast. Carrera T is plenty of fun, sound and comfort.
Dude!!! This is the only modern car review I have seen all year. I watched it only because of your underrated Kiwi charisma.. BUT can we have some reviews of classics please?
Next week….
Thank you for the down-to-earth review! Never considered this car.
I would agree and say this also goes for the Macan, the base is super smooth and peppy.
Ah I’ve found my base Macan just a little underpowered. It’s no big deal as I also have a 718 4.0 in the garage for kicks, but if the Macan was my only car I’d recommend spending the extra to get an S with the V6 engine.
Great review as always. Personally I can't stand revving the crap out of stuff. I used to ride a Kawasaki ZX6R which looks cool but does little until 11,000rpm, and I hated that. Also used to have a 997 carrera s which had nothing down low, also didn't like it as much as the turbocharged engines.
This guy gets it!
Shame about the gauge cluster though.
Hey Nick, William will be pissed with you. 😅🤣
Also you can order the rear wheel steering also - not available in the base Carrera. And light weight glass and rear seat delete and less sound deadening also over the base Carrera.
Starts at $156K CDN. Porsche has just instituted a HUGE price increase across the board
And just like the Rolex fan boys...everybody will line up and say 'take my money'.
I’m not selling mine and I’m not going to buy a new one…..status quo seems to be the way to go.
@@bigmacdaddy1234 LOL! Average Rolex may appreciate more (dollar for dollar)
Their prices have gone up fast in a very short period of time in Canada. The luxury tax doesn’t help.
Great video Nick. Oak Green Carrera T on order since December
You mean you’re on an allocation list…..since December…! ?
Couldn't agree more. T for life! SS
Less is more may be true for Porsche models. But not NM videos. Fun to see this pop up. Thank you as always.
I was going to say, this could've gone on and on in more detailed impressions yet!
I was just thinking "hasn't been a Nick video in a while," and lo and behold!
I can't get excited about the 992. It's so big and so plain looking
Great video Nick. Been following you for a while. Having troubles finding a good dealership in the CT area and an allocation for a 911gts. Which would you recommend?
Fantastic review Nick - thanks! Been viewing your channel for years. Agree with you completely that the T is the sweet spot of the range and am close to pulling the trigger. Question for you - with the reduced sound deadening on the T, how is the road noise inside the car vs. say the S? I'm going to have my almost 3 yr old in the back during weekend joy rides, and just double checking on making the right choice. Thanks again!
The T would also be my pick out of the current 911 range. The Sport Design package is a must-have for me though!
Dang that sounds good 👍
I drove a 991 911 Carrera S recently for a few days and I must say, that's all the power I would want on public roads, no need for top spec 911s in the 992 platform.
More content! More Porsche content Nick!
Awesome video Nick.
Another great review Nick. Super advice 👏🏻 The only downside is that the T arrives late in the model cycle. For those getting a 992.2 Carrera S, they will have at least two years’ use before a T is even on sale.
True!
@@NickMurray yes - if it arrived at the beginning of the production cycle it would make much more sense. As is, it almost falls into the GTS basket; it’s going to look dated fast when the 992.2 is out next year with the Taycan dash etc.
I notice that the monogramming on the rear was was removed. Some people don't like that but I love it.
This has always been on my radar. My sister has a really nice 992 Targa 4S. She got it at sticker, but it’s still an eye-watering $180K with loads of options. She loves it, but I would certainly prefer a lighter and simpler car. The Carrera Ts appear to hold their value pretty well. I’m this generation will as well.
Yes, the Targa is 600 pounds heavier than the base Carrera which in my mind makes it a cruiser not a true enthusiast 911.
Options are the killer
Nick is fully right about lower level Porsche models being more enjoyable than the top level ones, and l personally believe this is even applicable on a wider spectrum in cars, just because lower power is more pushable and accessible in regular roads
If you're going to spec a light color you need to spec the $3,240 Sport Design Front Fascia.
Hopefully they allow you to opt out of the $640 Front Spoiler Lip in Exterior Color.
The 911 Dakar wheels would be nice as well - if the offset allows them to be adapted.
I'm listening to this gentleman for five minutes and I think he's the best car CZcamsr out there. I love the attitude, the glasses, that certain WASPness, but also breaking the rules with that gorilla in the back seat. This is a kind of Sprezzatura!
Nick,
Thanks for this video. I am ordering a Carrera T on Tuesday and was wondering about :
1.) Carmine Red vd Guards Red. - The Carmine seems deeper but maybe dull? Guards Red seems brighter but too bright?
2.) Is the Aerokit with the fixed back wing a good idea? Or is the standard back wind deflector adequate for downforce in most driving?
3.) Is a leather interior a good idea and also with extended leather on the dash and door panels?
I wanted a 992 GTS or S but the dealer only will allocate this T allocation to me. So I appreciate your thoughts on this.
Carrera T, M/T with rear steer and aero kit is the coolest spec.
Nick, how's the cabin noise at highways speeds? Can you compare with your older M4? Thank you.
Want to see a review on the T with pdk. Also when will PCCB be available?
He’s back!!!!!
Good review. The lack of a LSD is less of a big deal for street driving than you make it out to be, Porsche uses electronic wizardry in the Base to work around it. You might notice it driving 9/10ths or in snow. Otherwise doubt you could tell the difference. Kind of like how you described RWS, everyone says how great it is even when their test car doesn’t have it.
