  • ►Replacing your E84 BMW X1's rear brake pads and rotors is part of being a responsible owner. They're there to help stop the vehicle, protecting you and everyone around you, so they need to be in good condition. You'll be able to feel and hear when they're worn, although your car will tell you before then. There's an electronic sensor that gets tripped once the pads wear to a certain level, and it'll trip a warning message on your instrument cluster. You may also feel a juddering from the rear end under braking.
In this video, Mike Hidalgo, FCP Euro's Professional DIY'er, replaces the rear brake pads and rotors on a BMW E84 X1.
