I'm following you & doing 8hrs eating window & 16hrs fasting from last 3 months . Stopped using sugar, tea, coffee, oily & package food. Lost 15kgs. It's very difficult initially but I do it to reverse my fatty liver grade 2. I was 88 kgs before & now 73 kgs. People who saw me only in photos before I started intermittent fasting, calls me & asks how did i transformed. My ans is to follow & do as Dr. Pal says.. 😊 Thanks Dr. Pal.. for showing us the path for healthy lifestyle. Forgot something - I got my confidence back as it looks good after I tuck my shirt. Only worry 😂 is I have to spend for new pair of trousers 👖 😂
Along with what u are doing do water enema for amazing results. Why is it so. Due to our previous mistakes of taking diary, packed ,refined , cooked food, NV our colon is coated with toxic material. This will push toxins in to blood stream. Also 71 critical points in colon related to every organ in the body will be activated only when u do water enema
Can you please breakdown your diet in a day? Like what you took for breakfast, lunch and dinner?
U r a legend 🙏
@@chittithalli8367 Breakfast - 2-3 boiled egg white, 4 chappathi with dishes of fenugreek leaves/Beetroot with curd. Or 4 dosa/idli with coconut chutney. Lunch - 4 chappathi with any green leafy vegetable. Dinner - Big No.. as i reach home at 10PM. I drink black coffee without sugar around 11AM & 5PM. Avoids all packaged foods/drinks/fast foods/Chocolates/Icecreams. Using precautions not to consume oils in cooking, more than 3 teaspoons in a day. I'm temporarily avoiding Non Veg / Spinach/ Sprouts/ Mushrooms/Dal/Alcohol including wines as I had my Uric acid at 6.9 which was brought down to 6.4 in 2 months using intermittent fasting & diet control. PLS NOTE THAT IT IS DOABLE. I'm extremely thankful to Dr. Pal..
Yes please provide breakfast lunch dinner and any other food you have throughout the day/week so we have an idea what to ear
Dr. Pal, you are really a friend to my health. ❤ I was feeling discouraged. I had stomach pain recently, I suspect a minor virus though there weren’t many symptoms other than bloating, acid reflux and pain. I fell off the fasting and high fiber and protein for a few days. It helps so much to see this is a marathon not a race. I’m going to go back to a 12 hour night fast again, high fiber and protein, delayed morning caffeine. When my stomach is normal, it actually improves acid reflux when I stick to just water a few hours after dinner, the acid calms down after digesting dinner and I eat again in the morning after coffee. It is a little tough with relying on my coffee to help bowels first thing. To delay coffee feels like a delay in the start to my day but you’re right that it helps my brain throughout the day to wait a little. Do you recommend drinking warm lemon water or plain water first thing? I try to journal and read for an hour while my brain is waking up before coffee. I heard limiting screens is beneficial around sleep times too. Thank you so much for all your work! 😊
Hello Dr. Pal, thank you once again for sharing your personal experience along with your medical expertise through your subtle candid confession that adds a touch to your scientific narration. Because of this, I was able to forward as well as recommend your videos to my circle of friends and family to bring a small change playing the role of a catalyst.
My heartfelt gratitude for addressing my query for those working in odd shifts especially supporting the European and American countries.
I couldn't agree more with you on all the points as I mucked on adding the right food especially protein on the table that led to muscle loss attracted comments from my friends (including medical world) and family members were worried about me and now have taken corrective actions. Discipline is the key and certainly helped me and now in more than 95% of occasions I can stick to my diet plan.
Lastly, please help me use alternative words to thank you for each of your videos.
Thank youu so much for promoting intermittent fasting. It is a part of my lifestyle now. I feel so light and energetic. I have reduced my bad eating habits because of you. I am truly grateful to you Dr Pal.

Thank you Dr.Pal for being my motivation.

Hello Dr. Pal. Thank you for your help and contribution to the community.
I'm living in Australia and am following your channel regularly.
I'm a vegetarian and diabetic
I am unable to identify the fibre rich food and set a particular diet for myself.
Thank you! Starting slowly is very hard for me, as I am very impatient. Thank you for the tips!
Awesome information Dr pal
... I started following ur videos 2 months back and got motivated to start intermittent fasting of 8:16 window frame. Lost 5kgs in 35 days. Understood that it is lifestyle changes n not for temporary changes. Also i am doing 40mins yoga and 10000 steps every day from September
Very good information, thank you Sir 🙏
Thank you doc ❤
Dr pal I love how you easily explained every scientific reason ❤️
I too feel the same ❤
Thank you for the concise explanation of potential pitfalls folks might encounter during the journey of weight loss via Intermittent Fasting. Watching this and your other videos, it has helped clarify the reasoning behind eating before sunset and its connection with the body's circadian rhythm.
I would appreciate if you could clarify a bit further either in comments here or in a separate (whichever is more convenient) - how does the changes in seasons (and hence changes in sunset time) affect the eating window. For instance, in Northern America (especially Northern States and Canada), in winters, the sun can set way before 5pm. In this instance, if someone were to start Intermettent Fasting with a window from 7am - 7pm, the sun would have already set 2hrs prior. In this instance, would eating as late as 7pm negatively impact Intermittent fasting results as that might conflict with "night time hormones" like melatonin etc. and work against weight loss efforts as explained in your other video?
Would really appreciate if you could help clarify how one can adjust the eating windows due to seasonal changes in sunset times and, in turn, changes in circadian rhythm.
Thank you for everything you do and all the advice on this channel.🙏
Excellent video Dr. Pal. This definitely gives us hope in the process. Loved ur quote : "we're in this together"!
Hi Doc - fumbled onto your videos of the last couple of weeks and really enjoy watching them - simple, to the point, and specific. Have a few questions:
1. Is intermittent fasting OK for people over 60 - what duration of fasting etc.
2. What about post menopausal women - is IF different for them - should it be?
3. In your videos we hear about the best combination of proteins, vegetables and carbs - but not about fruit - what fruit should be had during IF feeding and when should fruit be eaten
Looking forward to your responses.
PS: Have been doing 16.5hrs IF and changed my eating habits over the last 2 years and lost ~12Kgs in year 1 and have been stable in year 2. Need to lose more weight.
Thanks Dr Pal For The Motivation 😊
Hi Dr. Pal. I'm Murali from Kerala. I recently got opportunity to saw ur videos. I really got inspired and started doing intermittent fasting 16:8 from this Nov 1st onwards. I will update for the result. Thanks alot for the valuable advise to change our life style. 👍🏻
Following a 12 hours eating-12hours dieting window; 07:30pm to 07:30am; since the last 8 to 9 weeks; with 2 non veg meals in a week and lost around 8 kgs come down from 84kgs to 78kgs. Thanks a lot Dr Pal. Most importantly I feel light and good, with no bloating as I felt before I started this.
Thank you dr.

Dear Dr. Pal, I am very much thankful to you for your time and efforts to make this effort to transform the community into a better manner. I need your suggestion on how to take care of our skin in the process of weight reduction? I've reduced almost 9 kgs in a span of 3 months and now I find my face, neck and my hands are having thinner skin. How to tighten the skin and to gain strength while moving towards this life style change?
I'm so great i stumbled on your videos and podcasts, you are so hilarious and with alot of fantastic health information. I'm following you & doing 8hrs eating window from 7.30 am to 6.30 pm for the past 2 weeks. I am 78 kgs and my circumference is 94". I Stopped using sugar and i have more a balanced protein, salads, vegies and Yogurt in my diet and i have absolutely no cravings for the past 2 weeks at all. And before going to sleep i drink Green Tea and i get a wonderful sleep. I don't eat fast or junk foods at all. What else should i do to reduce my weight to 70Kg gradually? I'm so so grateful to u for showing us the right path for healthy lifestyle. I wish we had more doctors and teachers like you in the world, the whole world would be healthy. we wish to see more videos. Be blessed
Thanks Sir , useful
Thank you Dr. 😊
Hello doctor, strictly following intermittent fasting for past 1yr now, lost near to 18kg in the whole duration. Initial days mistakes which I was making was:
1. Started feeding on anything in the eating window specially biscuits which contained maida and sugar
2. Was taking coconut water in the fasting window
Throughout my journey I was intensively focusing on weight loss and playing lots of badminton, not focusing on muscle building. Now started doing strength training along with cardio and now I feel time has come to move to the next stage where I need to lower my body fat from 24% currently to 18% and focus on muscle growth as I seen in another video of yours. You Dr Pal has changed my entire life, being an obese throughout you brought me from XL TO MEDIUM size shirt, gained enormous amount of confidence and belief in myself. A big thank you sir. God bless you😊
Perfect.. Got impacted by one of your videos regarding belly fat and I started to follow the eating window for past one month.. though the journey is slow, I was confused if I am doing it right. This video explains clearly.. thank you. I follow 7AM - 4.30PM window.. I take fiber and protein in alternate dates but still having rice which I have to reduce to see better results.. will work on it 😊
Thanks alot ❤❤❤
Yes sir i did IF 16:8 and was able to reduce 17kgs in 6mnths. Now am in correct BMI.
I feel active and energeti, confident, could handle stress and tens pretty cool nowadays not sure if its due to weight reduction.
Very well explained dctr pal.. ❤
Hello Sir, started following you few days back. Really love your videos and content. Started intermittent fasting from day 1 after following you. Please some throw some light on food allergies as well. My daughter is gluten intolerant. Looking forward to some thing that can boost her immunity.
I am the first to see for your good humble nature thank you
Presently doing 15 hour fasting window since one month.Thankq doc Pal for the valuable information
Keep going
Great Doctor 💐❤️👌
Doctor, please put a video for Ulcerative Colitis(IBD) treatment and what kind of diet to follow for this disorder? I have been asking this for a very long time by adding comments in many of your videos. Please 🙏🏼
Thank you Dr
I realised about intermittent fasting quite late , when I became 70 yrs old and 12 yr. Diabetes. Thanks to the method , I came to 6.1 HbA2c from 7.2 . I just use 13/12 window . Can not go beyond that since I started ie almost 2 yrs back . Dr has reduced my metformin (that is the only diabetes medicine I take) a little . Your videos motivate me to stick and improve my intermittent fasting.
Totally able to understand the night call duty. Pls post lifestyle advices abd tips for busy doctors and pg students who have a hectic shedule
Love you sir for your dedication and caring.
I have lost 7 kgs as of today since 3and a half months
Your videos are so inspiring.
How lost can you tell me

Very helpful
Dr.Pal, you are a game changer ..!!
I started to put everything on you if I have any restricted foods on my table. A simple statement I say is … “Arreeee Dr.Pal told me not to eat papad.. 😅😅”
I realised that my health is important to my family. Before time restricted feeding I took proper nutritional diet + basic walk which made me loose 9kgs in 3months. Now, After I am seeing results, I started with time restricting feed. 8PM to 8AM is a fasting window I choose which is very much do-able with a bit of planning. I could successfully complete 2 weeks of it and wish I follow through out my lifetime.
Since one month I am doing Intermittent fasting with Strict diet rice fully avoided and the results are awesome 7 kgs in one month from 83 to 76.
Thank you very much for your advices. I am addicted to your videos . My eating window 10 to 6 .
I followed your idea taking box to the parties after 6 pm if functions are held😂
Happy Evening Doctor. . I started this discipline and it's my 23rd day. . I'm happy that I can control my hunger these days easily and the main thing is " I lost 2.5kg ' which I feel is a healthy way of balancing my weight. .
Thanks for your motivation all the time ahead 🎉
Knowing the calories content of our South Indian foods are a challenge to me even today. Will be of great help if you post a video on the calorie content of our sambar, rasam, curd, poriyal, idli, dosa etc...

WAITING FOR CHALLENGE
challenge video will be up by tomorrow , monday
Thank you Dr. Pal for changing my life. I have been following TRE since April(5pm to 7am). My fasting time was 14 to 15hrs on average.I lost 17kgs. I entered my daily calories in my fitness pal app TILL July. That helped me to track my protein, fibre and other nutrients intake. Two weeks before my BP became slightly on the low side and had mild dizziness. I went to GP and found out that I had low B12 and ferritin. I feel everyone should be mindful in their vitamins and nutrients intake. I think my MISTAKE was not entering my nutrients in the app for the past 2 months. Bcoz in the first 4 months I was so mindful in eating more veggies in my every meal. Iam a vegetarian. That also contributed to my b12 deficiency. I started eating more fruits and vegetables now.. I am feeling better now….
That's such a honest comment. Thanks for sharing. Did you follow any plan?
Please share your diet chart. Am a vegetarian too with low HB level.
Sir ur videos has helped me lot. Since 4 month trying to follow 12 hr fasting and has lost 5 kg. But yes what u said in this video is very true v just find a small chance or excuses to eat our favourite food which is not good for us. I was able to relate many wrong things which I did. Thank u so much now I will try to be bit discipline.
Dr. Pal ur motivation is amazing one
Every one can't do like you...
Kindly suggest some High fibres content foods which aren't too much costly and also having in our daily use.
Excellent
Thank you for the tips, Dr. Pal. Can you share some tips on how to overcome sugar cravings.

IS MANY TIMES ISEE... THAT I DON'T PASS STOOL... Easily... AND MAY BE HAVE TO WAIT LONGER... But its not any discomfort... yet... I take... Some... STOOL RELIEF... ayurvedic... stuff... So i watched your latest video and i understood that being consistent is more important ..be it any window.... so sticking to 10hrs window planning to post u update every week...... that way I feel a doctor is checking on me 😅..... have a nice day!!! Thank you for all the information!!!!!
World's best Doctor......
Thank you so much Dr.Pal by following your method have reduced 4 kg in 2 months 😊😊. It will be more useful if you tell about how to reduce waist circumference
Whatever you tell is my Bible. I followed everything you told very strictly. So I did not make any major mistakes. Thanks a lot for making us learn from your mistakes. I concentrated a lot on time restricted feeding, protein, fibre, calorie deficit. I lost 7 kg in 45 days(from 62 to 55) which is in healthy range. The mistake I did was not concentrating on calcium and iron intake. Now I corrected that. Thanks a lot for your guidance. It means a lot to me!!!
Dr pal I really appreciate ur earnest efforts on weight loss. It has given me a good insight about the weight loss process. Iam doing IF from 7 pm to 7am… just have Chennai coffee again eat only by 11 am to continue my fast
Can u pls explain what is Intermittent Fasting?
Lots of love from Nepal DR
Your great fan here ❤
Thanks for your valuable time, even though am following IF, sometimes in curious am having a bite of snacks in midnight, help me to control of this
Hello doctor , your videos are full of info n entertainment..thank you. sir ,
Could you please educate us with the info on kidney health and CKD ,if possible ..
Options for Protein and fibre rich foods for vegetarians will be a great help to many...please post a video about them sir
Hi Dr.. Eagerly waiting for the 90 days Intermittent Fasting challenge..Thanks dr..❤
I did same mistakes. Really helpful
Thanks Dr. Pal. Can you please post about fasting and exercising with flu/cold/cough/sore throat? Is it advisable or should we take it easy on the fasting and exercising while sick?. Thank you!
Sir please do a video on "one meal a day"..... and also fasting on weekends
Need to share this doctor. I was on night shift duty at age 19 in India way back in 1979 ,p&t department.and from a pallakkad tam brahm family. So 'gundu 'was translated as health. But our dinner break was at 7.30pm, 4 hours before sleep time. So without even knowing about a fasting window I was following it. Fast forward to now, I am 63ekdum fit. No belly fat. I am a grandmother to a 3.5 year old. Later when I changed to a public sector bank, normal timings, lot of walking, and never street food even today. Your videos are a grt support for my siblings sir. Thank you.
As said, I am following the 12 hour fasting window as much as possible..but this 12 hours keeps varying from 8PM to 8 AM...sometimes 9 PM to 9 AM..as said patience is teh key and I am in no hurry to lose weight..I was 93.7 and I have reduced 10 kgs in around 5 months...along with this, I also try to include 30 mins exercising..Dr.Pal's videos have been very information in our journey!!
Dr Pal, can you please do a video on a typical south indian vegetarian diet and how we can modify it to get sufficient protein. I looked through several of your old videos, but could not find one on good vegetarian protein sources and how to integrate t\hem in daily diet so we can reach our daily protein requirement.
Dr.Pal..thank u for what you do and sharing the knowledge. Has helped me significantly. I had hard time adjusting initially as dinner times were at 9pm at home, but slowly made change to around 7:30 pm. Getting protein rich food for vegetarians has been a challenge any recommendation will help.
Thank you. Rohit
I turned vegan (from vegetarian) 5 years back. Strictly no animal based food (incl dairy and honey). My BP became normal that I stopped taking pills for the past 3 yrs (being monitored by a cardiologist). Vegans don't get enough proteins is a myth. We have enough protein in our usual plant based food. I eat a normal south Indian food but just enhance it with protein rich food. No junk food. You can also try. ( I'm 57 yrs old, no diabetes ). I'm trying to follow Dr Pal for reducing weight of 3-5 kgs and get rid of insomnia.
Hello sir hope you are doing well. Thank you for creating the awareness of right way of intermittent fasting. It’s been a week I started n kind of adjusting to this new pattern. Please could you let me know when we should check our weight? Is it as soon as we wake up or before going to bed … thank you
I made the same mistake as you dr.pal . I took the timing properly but ate 3 plates of biriyani in between the eating window and no fiber. intake . Thanks for enlightening me again ❤.
Superb Sir
Its 50 days now following Dr Pal average fasting 19hrs. Feeling more focussed, less stressed. Also lost approx 4kg during this time.
Hi Dr. Pal. For me its easy to follow intermittent fasting but difficult to control portions. 3 days i stick to it and then 4th day i cant control my craving and eat whatever i see
An apple a day... But we need to hear dr pal everyday!
💞💓
could you please make a video about best food eat in break fast , lunch, dinner ,also correct time have them
DR Pal, Good morning! Have a wonderful Sunday! I have reduced the rice quantity as much as possible, morning motion is difficult, it is not usual as before. I used to drink 800Ml water at empty stomach to manage the motion, Evanthough I eat lot of vegetables I should increase the fibre as much as possible. I had chicken with rice for 4 meals. My protin- Chicken, cottage cheese, dal, and cottage cheese. Fibre: steam vegitables, corb: rice, potato. Is it ok to drink 1 litter of water in empty stomach? By breath is far better after 2 weeks of intermittent fasting. Belly circumstance is reduced significantly, may be 1 or 2 inch. My weight doesn't changed since I am eating fat, protein and I am doing home work out ( like push up, mountain claims).
