  • This is a rundown of how the art sale (called Art in the Garden) went after a visualization process the night before. I must say, it sure did help me to feel good all day, which helped with my sales! I talk about the 5 things that contributed to my success yesterday.
I also share the updates in my CZcams analytics for the week, and give a little tour of the garden.
BTW I talk about making $1,400 as not quite as much as I was hoping for...and obviously that's a lot of money! But I also live in the 8th most expensive city in the WORLD according to recent studies, more expensive than LA or Chicago, even! A person making $50,000 or less cannot live comfortably in Seattle according to an article last month in The Seattle TImes. Just throwing that in there for perspective. :)

Fascinating to hear back about the results of the visualization meditation! I love that it is possible to gently nudge our minds and bodies in a direction of feeling good. AND it can lead to better real world outcomes!

I love this! Your interactive painting was perfect! A nice way to bring people in. I agree with you that our own mindset changes the vibe and we can make that happen. So smart, Anne!

I love the idea of getting visitors to your tent to add something to the painting. Brilliant way to engage people! Did you collect their email address so you can send them a photo or tell them how to find your channel so they can see the finished piece? Your display looked really inviting and the location was lovely. I really enjoy your videos Anne. As well as your beautiful art you have clever creative ideas. I am pleased your channel is growing well.

@@ArtBookNook I went back-and-forth about whether to put the email sign up next to that group painting. Finally decided against it, but I still filled up a page of email addresses (people interested in my newsletter), so I will be sending a picture in my next newsletter! thank you so, so much for your kind words!

I just had a thought flash into my mind-do you ever paint directly onto furniture? I noticed a blue chair with something on it in the footage of your art booth, and I had a thought that your painting style would be awesome on something like wooden chairs, dressers, things like that! Not sure if the furniture market is hotter than the art market right now, but I thought I should mention it just in case!

(Not to replace your current work at all, as I LOVE your art on canvas as well, but it could be in addition to)😄

Great minds think alike...I bought that old chair from a used furniture/scrap materials store in the neighborhood, painted it blue, and invited other people in my studio building to join me in a collaborative painting on that chair. My reasoning was that people might not want to buy a painting but maybe they would buy furniture. I also did some painting on clothing. So far I'm not seeing a huge rush on these items. ;) But painting on the chair was fun! Thanks for thinking of the idea, Kendall!
