- Ragi is a very nutritious millet that has lots of calcium and iron . Ragi is one the first food that is given to babies as weaning food due to numerous health benefits it has. Ragi is considered a superfood as it has many vitamins and minerals.
In southern India especially in Karnataka Ragi is cultivated in large scale and it a staple grain. In Karnataka Ragi Kali also known as Ragi Mudde is prepared and served in lunch instead of white rice.
Having Ragi Kali on daily basis substituting the white rice will help up fight obesity diabetes pcos etc.
Ragi Kali tastes very taste and yummy will all types of curries including Sambar keerai masiyal keerai Paruppu mutton kulambu chicken kulambu etc.

Can you say why did you add the ragi solution initially and then you added the flour later. What’s the nuance behind it
Usually the raw Ragi flour forms lumps when added to boiling water , adding Ragi solution first , cooks in the boiling water and makes the water thick and hence helps to prevents the lumps formation

Interestingly you didn’t add salt and also no ghee or oil to it. That’s sounds so healthy I see this preparation in other channel but they made the balls with handful of ghee. But your way has some elegance. Thank you very much by the way
