This was very informative. I'm Melkite so we have an Horologion that I already use, but I am glad to see another high quality option available for my brother & sister Byzantines.
I have the Melkite Horologion, the Publican's Prayer Book, and the old Byzantine Daily Prayer, but I may consider picking this book up as well. Thanks for the review.
Thanks for the review! Just had a look at the website. The cost of shipping to the UK seems to be surprisingly reasonable! Don't know if I'll order it, but..... it's tempting :)
I’ve been looking for this book thank you so much.I didn’t know where to purchase it so I’m really excited that I found this video. Can’t wait to see your review(Maybe you can give us a class on how to use it)Do you know if he comes with an auto(Small book that will give you the pages to use every day)
There there. Hi Chris Arca here. Just a quick question. Your package is an USPS Media Mail. Coz I received an email from a bible publisher that they sent me a review copy through USPS media mail a couple of weeks ago. I am here in the Philippines. May I ask if your package have a tracking or routing number in order to keep track of the package. I was informed by the publisher that the courrier did not provide any of those kind. The publisher only sent me the transaction details they had with USPS.
A missal is a guide to follow along in a mass/liturgy. This is a book of hours, which is intended to provide a structure of prayers based on the psalms throughout the day.
@@ConvincedCatholicism Ohhh. Nice. I am a recent revert to Catholic church roman rite. And I´m still learning about the other rites. Interesting book. Thank you.
Just like to say that the western breviary in the old rite is extremely more complex then the Byzantine psalter we pray the psalms in one day or one week and plus it’s in Latin
Ho Sento per escrivent a catala, pero n’hi ha moltes llibres en espanyol de Catholic Book Publishing company. Potser tenen llibres a espanyol per les Catolicas Gregas

Thanks for checking out the channel! The Melkites do an amazing job publishing books for clergy and lay alike

Thanks for your support!

I would say it is worth it based on it being a historic curiosity and a great addition to prayer
I'm Byzantine Catholic(Ruthenian) and will have to get this.
I attended the Cathedral in Passaic for a few years
@@ConvincedCatholicism I've been attending St. Thomas the apostle Byzantine Catholic Church in Gilbert, AZ since. I'll let people know about this.
Just ordered a copy. I live in the United Kingdom so hopefully it won’t take too long to arrive.
Enjoy!
Hi! Did you ever do a review/ how to pray for this book? Thanks! Loving your channel!
I have not yet, but it is on the list

Thank you so much! I plan on reviewing it soon. I will, to the best of my ability, teach people how to pray it.
Is there a version of this but that includes the Divine Liturgies ? ( for ruthenians )
No. The Teal Terror essentially is the only book that has the Divine Liturgy in the current translation
@@ConvincedCatholicismdid you get the Print or Large version of this book? ( I need to know if I have to spend 40$ or 125$ lol
@@InnocentAlaska I got "Print" which is 80 dollars.
Ah, you did get it.
Great video. I still on the fence between this, the Melkite one, the Ukrainian one, and the Anthologion but can't decide!
Its a tough choice! I would go Melkite to be totally honest
@@ConvincedCatholicism Thanks! Is it because it is more complete as far as the contents go?
Yes
I look forward to your review of this one.
A brief explanation on how to use it would be nice.
I will try my best! I love the book so far

Does this have the full psalter bound with it?
Unfortunately no!

Hi Chris, if it was through EC pubs, they will not give you a tracking number. Hope your book arrives soon!
is it like a missal?

The psalms are one week in the Byzantine breviary too. It is through the Kathismas
It is a shame this book is not available in spanish
I can’t imagine there are too many Spanish speaking Byzantines. Maybe the Horologian is available in Spanish on the internet
I wish those books were translated to
Spanish

@@ConvincedCatholicism jejeje, Catalan is not spanish. Not even close. But thanks for the explanation.
Actually, you are in tone 7. At least for Orthodox Christians. Edit: at the the time of the recording you were right, LOL jumped the gun.
I attend a Byzantine Catholic church and I tried to remember the Troparion and Kontankion from the time of recording. I am glad I got it right
