PAX DOMINI SIT SEMPER VOBISCUM! - Zábava
I just ordered this set and I’m so excited to transition to this traditional Divine Office. I’ve been praying the Monastic Office including Matins but this is really what I wanted!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Looks great. I must get a set soon, as the Lord provides. Thanks!
Thank you for this video!
You're welcome, sir! Welcome to the channel! God and Our Lady be with you!
The breviary is the prayer of the Church, like the Mass, we should allow the breviary to form us and not form the breviary to our whims. If you are just learning the Divine Office absolutely take it slow and pray only parts of it until you figure it out. The times we are living in are extraordinary, and we don't have the luxury of doing things the way they've always been done. We should be praying all the hours of the Divine Office just like we should be going to Mass and confession much more than 1/week for Mass and 1/month for confession.
I pray, God bless you.
Thank you. Well said!
The Roman Breviary is prayed in Latin because it is the Language with which The Church speaks to the Lord.
Finally a common sense awesome Catholic! Thank you!
Amen!!!
Ordered it yesterday.
I do the Little Office of the BVM, been thinking about leveling up to the Breviary but my latin still needs some work , with the Little office I divide the day in 3 blocks: an hour before day break matins/lauds/prime; an hour before sundown the rest of the hours and compline before bed.
I'm insanely jealous right now, btw -Rob
Hate the game, not the player!
@@texcathedra I don't hate the game or the player! Lol. I just want a breviary of my own haha.
To be honest, I am interested in the English translation! I'm wondering if it's the same as that of the Psalms of the St. Michael's Abbey (Farnborough, UK), 8th edition, of the Monastic Diurnal? The Diurnal doesn't say, but the first 5 editions were made by St. John's Abbey, Collegeville, so I'm thinking it might be the same. Any background on it would be appreciated.
The Confraternity of the Precious Blood has a little book called "My Daily Psalms" that is a pocket psalter arranged according to the one week cycle of canonical hours - same as the Roman Breviary. No propers or responsory or antiphons or etc. But the basic psalter and canticles. Good starter to wet ones whistle so to speak. I
I am very interested in this Baronius Press Roman Breviary in both Latin & English Versions in one book. May I know how much is the price for the entire set of volumes with the little office of the BVM? Thank you for this inspiring and motivational video.
Congratulations on your Breviary set. I hope you treasure it always.
Is this the same as the Liturgy of the Hours? I do those for Divine Office, Morning and Evening Prayer.
God Bless
No it’s not the same as the Liturgy of the Hours. It has some different rubrics and it has nocturnes that I am still trying to figure out. Matins is my favorite and I can’t figure out which nocturnes I’m supposed to pray so I pray all 13. I’m sure that’s not correct but I can’t find any instruction on this anywhere.
@@CatholicChickAZ downloard the app, BrevMeum. It is the traditional breviary. It might help to compare what nocturnes you're praying verses what are listed for the day on the app.
Does the fssp use this version of the divine office?
Just a brief criticism; an unboxing should be focused on the box, the opening and the product. Not your face
