Karsu always performs with her whole heart and soul. Please check out her duet with Belle Perez on Beste Zangers this season. She sings about her breakup with her longtime boyfriend in Turkish. You once reviewed Lara Fabian’s Je suis maalde but Karsu & Belle’s version is epic. Can’t stop watching it.
You're right, but this concert hall had the Dutch name "Concertgebouw" (concertbuilding), so that's why the sessions are called that.
God, she is beautiful.
Her ability to tell stories in her performances and putting so much emotion in it, reminds me of Lara Fabian.
It might not be HER story but it is a true one and she channeled it with great integrity.

Highly, you should take a look at Beste Zangers 2021, in which Karsu is one of the singers. This was yet a great episode of the Beste Zangers.
Something happend 10 years ago and since that The Voice here came with terrible things that have happend, the nightmares came back to me. I have EMDR therapy to hopefully forget it
I am Dutch. Just 2, 3 weeks ago I heard Karsu sing this song. She is the voice of miljons of women in the world. I cried while I was listing to this song. I understand and feel the emotion in this song. Even now tears are rolling

Many, G, maybe tens of thousands of songs are written about others than the artist him or herself.
Songs usually contains a message. And the message in this is harsh but amazingly beautiful performed.

I once spoke with someone who worked at the Amsterdam city council. In Amsterdam alone there are over a thousand women who fled from this kind of situation of being locked up in forced marriages. And more remain incarcerated. That means multiple thousands of accomplice family members. So that's why they can hardly be helped, because they don't dare to press charges. This in only one Dutch city, but they are hidden away in all of our cities and in even in villages. The numbers are still growing. Immigrant girls, minors often. Even girls brought in from other countries. I got involved in the case of a girl I met over the internet who had been married off to her much older cousin and was locked up, beaten and raped by him for ten years before escaping with her two children. This phenomenon started to come to light when a girl fled to Paris and wrote a book about her situation. I believe she had been locked up in Rotterdam. And what do the politicians do? Nothing.
