We speak with Dr. Seema Jilani, a pediatrician who spent two weeks in Central Gaza volunteering in the Al-Aqsa Hospital emergency room. "I saw the fall of a hospital before my very own eyes," says Jilani, who shares recorded voice notes from her time in the besieged territory while trying to save children in a health system collapsing under Israeli pressure and bombing. "I have never treated this many war-wounded children in my career." Finally, Jilani shares why she continues to serve as a doctor in war zones with the International Rescue Committee. "It is the absolute honor of my life to serve the people of Gaza," she says. "It is all of our responsibility to consider those orphans, consider those families who are completely bereft of any and all human dignity that has been taken from them. … Their fate will sit with us."

Zahir Muhsein was a Palestinian leader of the pro-Syria As-Sa'iqa Ba'athist faction of the Palestine Liberation Organization between 1971 and 1979.
In an interview with Trouw Magazine, 31. March 1977 he stated....."The Palestinian people do not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct "Palestinian people" to oppose Zionism. Yes, the existence of a separate Palestinian identity exists only for tactical reasons. The establishment of a Palestinian state is a new tool to continue the fight against Israel and for Arab unity.
Hamas Minister of the Interior and of National Security Fathi Hammad, aired by Al-Hekma TV on March 23, 2012. Stated.....
.....we all have Arab roots, and every Palestinian, in Gaza and throughout Palestine, can prove his Arab roots - whether from Saudi Arabia, from Yemen, or anywhere. We have blood ties. Personally, half my family is Egyptian. We are all like that. More than 30 families in the Gaza Strip are called Al-Masri ["Egyptian"]. Brothers, half of the Palestinians are Egyptians and the other half are Saudis. Who are the Palestinians? We have many families called Al-Masri, whose roots are Egyptian. Egyptian! They may be from Alexandria, from Cairo, from Dumietta, from the North, from Aswan, from Upper Egypt. We are Egyptians. We are Arabs.

Same goes for every ethnicity which was under empires, colonies. Uk and later US dived these empires to their own interests. Israelis are the same. They are eskenazi (eastern Europeans), Russians, Iraqis, they are Ortodox Jews, Ultra Orthodox Jews, some are Zionists, some are not, there are Zionists Israelis, secular Israelis, communists Jews, communists Israelis without being Jews, and Arab Jews the ones called Sephardic. We are all mixed somehow with other ethnicities and cultures.

*“The biggest insult to the memory of the Holocaust is not denying it but using it to commit genocide against the Palestinian people.”*
*- Norman Finkelstein*
Agreed
How about using its memory to commit holocaust against the Jews? Is that acceptable to you?
The biggest insult to the memory of the Holocaust is the behaviour since 1949 of the United Nations which has been antisemitic for nearly 80 years.
Sure, but it's that special Jewish kind of genocide where Israeli & Palestinian populations increase at pretty much the same rate, for generations, and where Arabs appear fleshed out rather than gaunt and shriveled, become educated, drive cars, wear glasses and carry around iPhones.
Meanwhile in living memory Baghdad's population went from a quarter (some sources say a third) Jewish to zero. More than a half-dozen other Arab countries are now judenrein as well.
The Arab commitment to xenophobia, ethnic cleansing and genocide is not only loud and clear from the speeches of many Arab & Muslim leaders and from the howls from their streets, it also creates facts on the ground.
Are you beginning to understand how loathsome is the ideology you propagate?
In the face of Arab savagery both in and out of the I-P context, Israeli goodwill and optimism has been dissipating. After 10/7 Israel may decide it has to fight by the morality of the Arab Muslim Middle East. The other leaders of the region will make the expected public noises, but they very well understand this morality having confronted it, and often enough deployed it, for decades.
Norman Finkelstein is insane.
The drivel that's comes out of his mouth is an insult to
His parents.

Palestinian people keep your cameras on! It makes a difference!
But we were told they have no electricity!
There are no innocent Gazans. A population that sends thousands of murderers is almost entirely involved in one way or another. The school books, teachers and clerics teach them to murder Jews and anyone who is not Muslim. The residents of Gaza elected Hamas in free elections because Hamas promised to kill Jews and all non-Muslims. Unfortunately, on October 7 Hamas kept his election promise. On that day the residents of Gaza cheered around dead naked bodies in the streets of Gaza and distributed sweets to the kids and celebrated.

Look at who their neighbors are.
@@cubbyboy8 Their neighbours are not the ones who are committing genocide... 🤔
@@theseustoo It is called self-defense.
@@cubbyboy8 No... it's called 'genocide'... or, at the very least, 'ethnic cleansing'!
An occupying power (like Israel!) has NO 'right of self-defence' because it's actions are inherently aggressive. I.e. an occupying power is ALWAYS the AGGRESSOR! Dig? Which means that what Hamas did on Oct 7th 2023 is called 'self-defence'... or do you imagine that the Palestinians have no right to defend themselves against their occupiers' aggression? And according to International Law, they DO have the right to self-defence, by any means necessary! Because all this most certainly did NOT start on 07/10/23... but much, much earlier!
Besides which, killing 30,000 civilians, mostly women and children - over 12,000 children, FFS! - wounding another 70,000 and rendering nearly 2 million homeless by destroying not only their homes, but ALL civilian infrastructure, including schools, universities, and even virtually ALL hospitals, thus making Gaza totally uninhabitable, is NOT 'self-defence'... This is what's called 'genocide' in the context of 'ethnic cleansing'.
So... get your terms straight! If you need further enlightenment, just look up the legal definitions of 'genocide' and/or 'ethnic cleansing'.
@@cubbyboy8 No... it's called gen-0-c*de...
Murdering 30,000 civilians, mostly women and children and making nearly 2 million civilians homeless and shooting at them when they try to access aid trucks, most of which are prevented from even entering Gaza, where they are desperately needed, while said 2 million Gazans are verging on starvation is NOT 'self-defence'!
Destroying hospitals, homes and schools is NOT self-defence!
On top of which, occupying powers, under International Law, have NO 'right' to claim self-defence because the occupier, legally, is always the aggressor. Those who are occupied, on the other hand, DO have the right to self-defence by any means necessary.

You and the doctors, nurses, and first responders in Gaza are towering heroes as you said. Thank you for sharing your story and the reality on the ground. This is the biggest insult to those who survived the Holocaust. To have this done in their name is a horror, and I will not support a government in the US or in Israel that denies the merits of these brave people who bring us these stories, while the governments continue to deny and state "We can't confirm or deny until we see all facts with regard to each individual situation". We have seen enough to know it's real, and unacceptable on every level.
The paternal side of my family was exterminated in the Holocaust and my Father spend the war in Auschwitz, Now you need to know we meant it when we said Never Again and so the Palestinians and anti- Semites like you will find out we meant it

A truly brave and heroic human being.
If she really wanted to help she would still be there. She is trying to create a name for herself.
Her stories have reduced me to tears.....we should all be very thankful to this woman and others like her who risk their own lives to help others. As well for sharing these stories and reliving these terrible moments to waken the world to the inhumanity of it all. The tragic death of the UNRWA worker Dr. Jilani's described as she cared for him in his last moments just underscores the selflessness and the heroic service of any and all "aid providers" who have been dispatched to this war zone. The fact the world is little to doing nothing to stop this carnage is revealing the core of who we really are as a people.
Dr. Jilani powerfully summarizes her experience at the hospital 16:54 "The smell of burnt flesh permeated the emergency room --- and will stay with me for a very long time."

These poor people, God forgive us, the whole world watched and did nothing to STOP this GENOCIDE 😢
Thank you for this interview Democracy Now and Dr. Jilani for what you are doing and have done. What strikes me as different about the situation in Gaza compared to other war zones is that the people in Gaza are basically trapped. Normally women and children are able to flee the worst areas of battle. In Gaza they can't. Even places designated as so called safe zones are not and the Isreali military regime have made public statements clearly stating that there are no innocents in Gaza, that they are all Hamas. It's beyond sickening. Targeting with bombs, shell's, bullets and now propaganda the humanitarian aid agency that is trying under very dangerous conditions to provide relief to the people that the Israelis have vowed to kill, men, women and children collectively. May God be with Palestinians and all of us who are crying out, Ceasefire Now!
It is truly horrifying when Hamas prevents people from getting to the safe zones, and launches attacks from inside them.
Thank you Nermeen, Amy & Dr. Jilani. The DN team too. The amazing, intelligent pediatrician is profoundly honest and kind. Giving. I wish I could do more than donate money to help save the Palestinians. Bless Dr. Jilani.

The "Costs of War" study by brown in 2021 has these figures for the past 20 years of engagement of US policy: indirect deaths 4.5-4.7 million, direct 905-940,000 ; in other words 6 Million Deaths and 38 million displaced. This is relevant because of the "Oded Yinon Plan."
