We speak with Jeremy Scahill and Ryan Grim of The Intercept about their exposé of a major New York Times piece into alleged mass rapes committed by Hamas militants on October 7 that raises serious questions about the accuracy of the story. The Times article was headlined "'Screams Without Words': How Hamas Weaponized Sexual Violence on Oct. 7," and its release in late December helped the Israeli government to justify the ongoing war on Gaza and to paint pro-Palestine supporters abroad as not caring about sexual violence. One of the reporters of the Times piece, Israeli freelancer Anat Schwartz, is being investigated by the Times for her social media activity, which included dehumanizing language and endorsements of violence against Palestinians in Gaza. "The New York Times has grave, grave mischaracterizations, sins of omission, reliance on people who have no forensic or criminology credentials to be asserting that there was a systematic rape campaign put in place here," says Scahill, who criticizes the newspaper for not issuing any corrections for their flawed reporting. We also hear from Ryan Grim about how the flawed Times article touched off "extremely intense debate" inside the newsroom. "They're used to external criticism, but the amount of internal criticism they're getting has them on the backfoot," he says.

Our Feds have been GIVING Israel some $3.8B of Our Tax Dollar$ every year for over 30 years. Recently, Israel was to receive an additional $14.2B of Our Tax Dollar$, but all that was sent was over 6500+ 2,000 lb. bombs and a host of Tank munitions. Gaslighting... It is all about the Benjamin'$. Gaza Marine is a natural gas field off the coast of the Gaza Strip. The Gaza Marine1 natural gas field (along with numerous other Natural Gas and Oil fields off the coast of Gaza, estimated worth over $524B) is located in water about 36 kilometers (22 mi) offshore at a depth of 610 meters (2,000 ft). The field was discovered in 1999 by British Gas Group and is estimated to contain more than 1.6 trillion+ cubic feet of natural gas. The DEAL with BG and the USA that NOBODY will discuss... and the 2 canals that they have been quietly planning that will run from the N. Gaza coast into the Sea of Galilee, and the lower canal that will run from S. Gaza coast through to the Dead Sea at Jerusalem, and down to the Gulf of Aqaba, to the Red Sea. The Suez Canal is out of the question... because, again... those Benjamin'$. Nobody will say a thing about the actual plan of "leveling Palestine" that the USA calls The Parking Lot. This has been planned for so long now... and to think, the propaganda used to distract the WORLD has forced the President of Harvard to resign.

"According to Zionism, this is the land of Israel and this land belongs to all the Jews of the world, not to the Palestinians who live there. If you have a supremacist ideology, then you must resort to violence. You must create an APARTEID regime so that this RACIST ideology can be realized. This is the State of Israel.” ~Miko Peled.
"The tragedy of the people of Palestine is that their country was “given” by a foreign power to another people for the creation of a new state. The result was that many hundreds of thousands of innocent people were made permanently homeless. With every new conflict their numbers increased. How much longer is the world willing to endure this spectacle of wanton cruelty?" ~ Bertrand Russell
Abdessalam Yassine, founder of Hamas, was born near Ashkelon, also pushed with his family to Gaza by Israel. To refuse to see that 60% of Gazans came from the places where Israelis now live is to be blind. We cannot understand October 7th without knowing History. ~ Shlomo Sand (Jewish historian)
In international law, nowhere does one find that the occupying force has the “right” to defend itself. Instead, it is explicitly written that an occupied nation has the right to fight by any means necessary for its freedom.

In the context of the coordinated attack by Hamas and other armed groups against civilian and military targets throughout the Gaza periphery, the mission team found that there are reasonable grounds to believe that conflict-related sexual violence occurred in multiple locations during the 7 October attacks, including rape and gang-rape in at least three locations, namely: the Nova music festival site and its surroundings, Road 232, and Kibbutz Re’im. In most of these incidents, victims first subjected to rape were then killed, and at least two incidents relate to the rape of women’s corpses."

Trump's Abraham Accords are another fake process and charade. Both Dems and Republicans are guilty and we voters need to demand they fix these sorry policies and stop blocking a bona fide Palestinian state. UN Resolution 242 is controversial but it calls for an open and international East Jerusalem. That's another crisis -- Christians and Muslims who are Palestinian and Arabs in other countries -- are denied worship at holy sites. There are Arab Jews, white Jews, and tbh the true oldest Jews out here is the Ethiopian Jews that they hid until we was out here calling them racist now they all over tik tok repping genocide with glee. Not mentioning of course the forced sterilization they were caught doing to the Ethiopian Jews and had to acknowledge and stop.

It was actually The Gray Zone, The Electronic Intifada and Mondowiess that broke this story. These guys are just riding their coattails and aren't even given the forementioned journalist their credit. Max Blumenthal wrote a piece called. Screams without Evidence way before the Intercept.

Have you forgotten some of the other journalists who used to work WITH you?
Don't forget Aaron Mate and Max Blumenthall. They DEBUNKED the 'Hamas mass rape' hasbara, first!
Credit where credit is due, Amy.
    The Intercept is great.

Why did the guests or Amy not mention one of the most damning elements of the story. That is that the so-called "journalist", Israeli Anat Schwartz, with no journalist experience to speak of, was "formerly" employed by Israeli intelligence? Who at the NYT hired her to write on such a serious topic and WHY? Why was this very important point skipped over, unlike with many other news outlets? She worked in Israeli intelligence, had no serious journalist resume, is hired to write an incendiary piece for THE NYT that promoted evidence free Israeli propaganda claims that were then relentlessly quoted around the world. Mission accomplished MOSSAD & NYT!!! It stinks.
