The way we should respond to these people is that yes, you have the freedom to not wear a mask, but I also have the freedom to punch you in the face. I can do both things, however, there are consequences to both, one hurts someone, and the other one is punching you in the face.

Then, I subverted the expectations I gave you by saying that "one hurts someone", where you expect me to be referring to a punch to the face, and instead say that the other IS a punch to the face, thus implying it hurts no people, thus implying you aren't a person, as you are unempathetic for not wearing a mask.

Then again the left has never understood that trusting the government to save you just makes you end up far worse then before. Besides the measures that we've taken so far aren't working. Which is why I've always said just have targeted protection for vulnerable and elderly. There's a point where even the worst survival rate is 97% for elderly and I seriously don't think this is any worse then a flu. I of course don't want people to die. But if i have to allow some sort of authoritarian regime in order to do that I'm not gonna go along with it. If this disease was killing lets say 10% of the population I'd be more willing to co-operate. But with a year of shady lies, deals and corporate benefit I seriously think this is more about money and power. Nice pfp btw.

I feel so lucky to be living in NC right now because of how our governor has handled it. I feel a little guilty for living so close to Georgia and Florida for that reason.

@@SurprisinglyDeep Thank you for your kind words. I always saw this as a moral obligation to my country and I wish more people felt the same. I honestly can't stand hearing the hypocrisy of the right and how "patriotic" they are yet they refuse to, as you said, perform one of the most important (and patriotic) civic duties of their lifetime.
Another thing we need to do is vote in November. I've been riding a few of my friends and family members to get them registered and I plan on spreading the word at work and other places. We have work to do as. nation but I believe with proper voting and more mask wering we can at least start moving forward.
Also, I totally understand and respect Canada's decision to close its border - I honestly don't blame ya'll one bit and hopefully once this is all over at some point we can welcome each other with open arms. Until then, stay safe brother.
