You actually got me back into chess. I used to play fairly regularly but stopped when I got to highschool some 15 years ago. I think a few of your shorts popped up for me and I went to go check out your channel and got hooked on the guess the elo series. I like your personality and sarcastic bluntness and got me playing a little again. Just for fun right now, but we'll see.
I've gotten into chess as a 6 year old, my dad taught me how to play. I proceeded to start playing in a club and got to 1300. I then stopped playing and picked it up around a year before the pandemic started. I'm now 1900 and I've been watching you from the beginning. I aint new to chess, but I'm new to content this appealing with that much information density. You are the GOAT of youtube chess teachers, and you aint got nearly enough recognition for that. 10x your subcount would be fair for the work you put in. A video DAILY?! No vacation? No pause? You're a beast, but please stay healthy, Levy. Your wellbeing is more important than my simping^^

I’ve been meaning to get into chess for a few years and never got around to picking it up seriously until just a few weeks ago. Still very new to the game and I managed to hit 500 today which feels like a cool little milestone. I came across this channel and a few others while searching for openings and beginner advice, and Gotham’s my favorite chess content creator by far right now. 💪🏾

So I've been casually playing chess since I was six or so. Tried a little harder in High School and even formed a small chess club, where the person I taught chess to won a local tournament. In university I dripped off because my city chess club was just far too strong for me and I wasn't practicing all that hard. Fast forward to the Ludwig Chessboxing event, I was watching Chris Broad's fight and felt a little fire to to back into chess.
Saw you on Chessboxing live and was like, in my head, "I'm sure I've seen this guy before", and lo and behold I had casually run into your vids a while ago...but been watching you a lot more often now that I'm studying chess a little more seriously.

My 14 year old brother actually got me back into chess, I used to be in chess club when I was in middle school, and now he's doing the same. I've started playing again with him, we have fun and we compete and it's made me fall in love with chess again. He's 5 years younger than me, but he's so much better than I've ever been (I'll never admit it tho😁). I've never been that good at chess, but I'm hoping if I start watching more chess content I'll give him the challenge he deserves. Thank you for the videos Levy❤️
