    The end of game 3 it always confuses me when players of this caliber resign when there are so many steps still left before a checkmate? Like, what am I missing? I just ran it in stockfish a few times making more human but still elite level moves here and there and it’s like 20 moves minimum til mate, and while yes white won in stockfish unless I inputted a dumb move because white has the advantage and the computer will play out with exact probability every time, why would that mean that white has so much of an advantage that it’s impossible not to lose in a human match here?? Can someone explain this to me please.

    • @mrbeast911
      @mrbeast911 Před rokem +3

      High caliber players can calculate the accuracy of their moves in comparison to their opponent and can predict losing many many moves before so its in everyone's interest, both in saving time and avoiding embarrassment to resign.

    • @samayahone3497
      @samayahone3497 Před rokem

      The players understand the position well enough to know when they don't have any chances to win. They can tell when they're position is completely lost even if there's no forced mate. It's just disrespectful of both player's time to keep going, and hoping the opponent is going to blunder then it's even more disrespectful. At lower levels you would never resign in a situation like that because your opponent often will miss something, or even stalemate. At higher levels it's just disrespectful to hope for something like that.
