It is my understanding that it is still closed. Although it is easy to miss the signage, it is not easy to miss the fact that there may be a lot of overgrowth that makes hiking it difficult. The other trails around there are spectacular and enjoyable despite the absence of the jaunt to Grassy Top. Thanks for the question.
Such a great hike. We did Black Balsam and Tennant a couple years back. Need to get back and do the triple 6K.
